Kay Jewelers - Purchased 2 - 10k gold chain necklaces that were not real

Purchased 2 - 10k gold chain necklaces from the KAY jewelers in Las Vegas at the miracle mile shops on Las Vegas BLVD on March 4, 2023. These two gold chains were both about $1,700 each. After shopping at another jeweler we had our jewelry cleaned and tested after the jeweler had a suspicion that we were sold fakes. Very strange so we decided to make our way back to the kay we purchased from and the fraudulent chains became apparent when the kay jewelers refused to answer or assist in any way at all and asked us to leave because they were closing. We simply wanted to hear their side and have them show us that what they sold us was in fact what the receipt said it was. The person there claimed that the machine is shut down and that they could not test the gold. While another approached claiming that they have no way to test the jewelry for its gold content or give any reasonable data that they have stating their claim on why they said the jewelry was something that it in fact is not.

This whole situation smells of a scam and the fact that the store in the miracle mile shops in Las Vegas refused to be of any help or have any regard for customer service is just a topper for this. How can you call yourself a jeweler? Does this seem like something to pursue to have the 3400 returned back? They most likely expect people not to question their ethics or have their jewelry appraised is what I am assuming. I know that I am not the only one who has been in this sort of scam. A lot have proceeded with a lawsuit. I would like to know if this is something worth while because to me this is obviously committing fraud.

Desired outcome: I would like to be returned the cash that was spent. I would like to have an explanation on if they knowingly sold me fake jewelry and I
