American Laser Skincare - dirty office

I went in for a treatment, and there was a roach on the floor. the clinic is so dirty, hair is always on the floors in each treatment room. Managers Jenna and Mirielle don't care about anything but selling treatments that don't work. Mirielle is so unprofessional, she is on the phone with a personal call, but is so loud you feel like your in the conversation. She is always out of uniform. I do not recomend going there. the board of health should visit and shut the place down.

American Laser Skincare - false claims, no refund

I became a customer of American Laser Centers in New York City (928 Broadway, NY, NY) through their accusition of a clinic I was going to called Advanced Laser. Once my contract from Advanced Laser was over, American Laser employees manipulated me into signing up for another package with them for $1249. They assured me of their money back guarantee if there were no results. At time of signing up for a second package with them, I expressed my concern that perhaps I will not get any further hair reduction in the areas being worked on. However, they were very convinced that another package would get rid of the remaining hairs and that they had seen 100% hair reduction. I contiuned with the treatments for about 11 months and there was absolutely zero improvement! Any improvement I saw was through the clinic they purchased. However, the lasers and staff had changed, which are all mediocre. They hire young girls from Clinique counters and such, who know nothing about handling lasers.
In November of 2007 I expressed my dissatisfaction and asked for my money back. I stopped all treatmetns at this time. I was also concerned that all these laser treatments were causing other health problems, which may or may not be related to laser treatments.
They took pictures of the area with a digital camera (which does not show the hair, since mine is fine and dark) and submittted it to their headquarters with my complaint. No one ever responded to this compalint even though I called and called numerous times. I finally demanded to speak to their CEO which is when someone finally called me back. Her name is Karina Rodriguez. At first she told me that I would get my refund. But when the refund never arrived, I called back again dozesn of times before I got a call back. This time she claims she never told me that I would get a refund and that the pictures show I had improvement.
I explained to her 1. that the digital camera used does not show what is seen with the naked eye (the camera makes it look better than what it is) 2. that any improvment I had was when I was with the clinic they acquired 3. that ALC never took before pictures so she had nothing to compare it to.
In March they requested I go back to ALC on Broadway to have pictures taken again. Again, with a plain digital camera, they took pictures that do not capture the fine hair. They called me again stating I can not get a refund because they don't see the hair in the pictures. Since I'm not a man, my hair was never thick enough to be seen on camera. Now they will not respond to my phone calls or emails. I am looking into a class action las suit against ALC. They really need to be put out of business. I am also in the process of reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. I wish I had never signed up with them.

I HATE AMERICAN LASER CLINIC! Never agree to free trial treatments because they will scam you and say you got actual treatments and try to charge you for them! I canceled 10 minutes after leaving their office to cancel and they didn't call back for 4 days! they are trying to get me to pay for the full treatment (5000) when i canceled that SAME DAY because they persuaded/scammed me into getting "FREE" trial treatments! I hate them soo much and wish they would be put out of business!

Hello Everyone,
I used to work at ALC for 4 years, and let me tell you, this company is a SCAM. Worst company you could ever spend money with. They are sales driven company and will do ANYTHING it takes to make a sale, (this includes, lies, deciet, and false information) just to get you to pay! They do NOT have a refund policy! (they didnt for 5 years with Rich Morgan being the founder, and then Gary Graves took over and said YES we do give refunds, but then he resigned and guess what? Rich Morgan is back, and NO REFUND POLICY is back as well! Please be very careful. There hair removal machine is not the newest or most efficent machine out there, ask syneron (the makers of the machine, its the lowest model they have!) no one has EVER seen 100% hair removal. There Velashape machine, IS BOGUS! as well as fotofacials skin tightning! Please do not invest with this company. For those of you who are seeking a refund, take the legal route...because ALC will not give you one

I sent my complaint to the BBB in my area. I have a letter ready to be sent to the Attonerney General. I have hired a well known attorney. I have been getting treatment for over 5 years. There has been no improvements. I don't even think they have a customer service. I am the proof that they are a false company. Five years of my life they have wasted with lies and deception. Everyone remember my name, I will take them down!

This is MY MANUAL BOOK FOR KICKING ### AGAINST AMERICAN LASER CENTERS:

In May 2008 I went to American Laser Centers in Santa Rosa, California.

I was told about this company because my friend gave me his $300 coupon he won at a fair.

Long story short. I too signed the contract. The next day I was feeling I was being charged too much for only 6 appointments = + $5, 000

I talked with a friend who said you should not be paying in advanced.
His example was: If you go to the dentist, get a haircut, dr. appt = you pay as you go-- NOT in advanced.

I called to cancel my laser appointment. No work or services were ever done to me.

I was then told I had to pay the 10% administration fee. (I was furious! = + $500)

I told the laser people under the California law according to the “State of California Department of Consumer Affairs, The Consumer Transaction with Statutory Contract Cancellation Rights there is a three-day no fault cancellation.”

American Laser Centers would NOT honor this Law!

I then consulted my friend who is a business person.

That DAY I DID THE FOLLOWING—

Department of Consumer Affairs

7.) I sent a certified letter to the location of where I went to American Laser Centers. I told them to: Cancel my contract and services.

8.) I emailed the office manager of American Laser Centers of the location that I went to. Look at your paperwork for the business card and the email address. Tell the office manager you want to cancel your treatments and services.

9.) I emailed Customer Services at American Laser Centers:
EMAIL: CustomerService@alcpartner.com

10.)I went to Small Claims in my area for extra help. Do a Google search with the name of the county of the state that you live in and “small claims” for the location. BRING ALL YOUR PAPERWORK including your contract!

MOST IMPORTANT: Keep copies of all your letters, your certified mail receipts, correspondents, emails…!

BE Business like!

Good luck! Think positive!
Please write your letters!

P.S. At first I did not want to write the letters. I was feeling like I was causing too many problems. That was until I was told I had to pay $500 + for no services or treatment.

Do your BEST!
