I received a letter from Kia for my 2014 Sedona I did not look at the top which that the recall was for the 2015 to 2017 however my 2014 model also has a recall on the same sliding door issue just a little bit less coverage for the 2014 then the 2015 through 2017 models. When I had my car towed on October 19, 2021 to the Kia dealership in Schenectady because of another issue and I told him I had a warranty extension coverage for my sliding doors he told me The diagnostic is only covered if it falls under the warranty my sliding doors would not latch they would not unlatch. They didn't do anything then I finally got a call from Ken Hoffman on October 22 which was Friday that if I could hold off until Monday they would fix the Kia sliding door on the passenger side that they said fell under the warranty but I still have to pay the diagnostic fee of $146 for the driver side sliding door the permanently locking itself because it unlatched as we were driving. I have had nothing but the runaround from Kia corporate offices in regards to this I have a complaint number they keep telling me to be patient I am a single mother with an autistic child I am going through medical treatment twice a week that I have to drive to Albany for that I cannot get to because the Schenectady dealership has had my car since October 19, 2021 and nobody has even gotten back to me to tell me that it is finished and then I can pick it up nobody from Kia corporate or consumer affairs has gotten back to me either in regards to my car and this letter that I was sent for the extended warranty coverage. I just want my car back so that I can take care of myself and my son. When I called corporate today I got somebody named Jeff this is at 2:00 PM Eastern time I felt like he was yelling at me because I did not notice that the letter said that it was 2015 to 2017 that's not my fault they mailed me the wrong letter. However to yell at a consumer I'll make them never wanna buy your product again and to tell them it's your fault for not reading the letter properly is horrific. I need my car back so I can go get my medical treatments and then I can take care of my autistic son and take him back-and-forth to his doctors appointments as well. The manager Rob over at Kia in Schenectady was not very helpful either it seems that the men who speak to you from Kia want to yell at women and put them down for not reading it right or understanding it right. I got a letter and I thought it was a blessing from God that my doors were going to be fixed so that I could safely drive my son back-and-forth To his doctors appointments without fear that the sliding back door is going to open.
Desired outcome: I want my car back with both sliding doors fixed and not being charged a fee when I received a letter that the diagnosis would be at no cost to me and fixing it would be at no cost to me
