While our experiences have typically been good with Fairfield Properties, our last stay completely debunked this. Staying at this hotel during its hard core renovation, was the worst choice we could have made, without even being told it was going on during the reservation process. You would have been better served to have closed, than exploiting loyal customers. Not only was the property dusty and mud filled, the noise while trying to rest in the days between funeral events was nearly impossible. The loud repetive continous banging started early, our wake up call and lasted both days until after 7:30pm. The kicker of it was when we awoke on day one and had to eat our breakfast in nasty old outdated and dirty hotel rooms 107-109. Tables were jammed so tightly, you could hardly manuever through the space. There is no way an ADA (walkers, wheelchairs) customer could have manuevered safely around that room... absolutely NO way. The food was placed on old hotel cresenza's and jammed next to dingy dirty walls. The flooring was filthy matted down carpet with old furniture bed marks in plain sight. The bathrooms were not usable with the tacky paper signs taped on them that read OUT OF ORDER. No place to even wash our hands, which felt like a must in this extremely dark unappetizing dirty space. Our view out of the hotel eating room windows were of muddy landscaping men, (mostly swearing) while we tried to eat the really stale bagels and watered down coffee. Without a kitchen, where ever was this morning food prepared? No juices of any kind because the machines were taken apart, much to the dismay of your food server.in retropect, I wish I would have contacted The Waren Health Dept, as it all seemed not only extremely unapealing, but your conditions bordered on unsanitary. Your server vocalized her frustration as well as we dined. We never did return for another breakfast, or even a cup of morning coffee. Breakfast out both days was an added expense we did not anticipate. Although, the staff we encountered was certainly kind.
We will always remember our Warren Fairfield Inn as one of our worst hotel stays and at a very painful time of family loss. It really was a waste of money, as we left your hotel tired and very unsatisfied. Had we known in advance or been better informed about the day/evening construction events both inside and out, we'd have definatly made another choice to stay elsewhere in the Warren area.
