Johnny Carino's

My family and I were going to a family dinner, since my husband is a truck driver and we were able to meet. I hadn't seen my husband in 2.5 weeks and I figured since Johnny Carino's was one of our favorite restaurants, we would go there. My husband was informed that since there would be 6 people it was considered a large party and since they only had 1 server, that we would have a 45 min wait. There were several other customers that came through the door and were sat within 15 min or before. We watched 2 groups of 3 and a group of 4 being seated. After 45 min my husband asked the hostess if they knew where they would be seating us. The hostess very rudely told him that he wait just have to wait since we were a large party. I have never in any restaurant that a part of 6 was considered large (as a family of 6 had left just 15 min prior).

A woman that was waiting to be greeted was still standing there and had been waiting for 10-15 min. She made a comment of how rude the hostess was. Then started telling him he didn't have to be so rude and impolite. It escalated to the waiter coming over and yelling at her. She said something to him about being rude and he yelled at her to leave. She had seen the manager and headed that way to talk to her. The waiter started chasing after her and yelling at her to leave.

My husband came back over and sat down. Right then the waiter came over and was yelling at us to leave the building, that they would refuse to give us any service. The hostess would refuse to seat us and the waiter would not take our order. I asked them what we had done and all we asked was where we would be seated and how much longer. Since we had already waited the 45 min they quoted us. They continued to yell and telling us to leave. I walked over to where the manager was standing and was politely talking to her. The waiter ran at me and was yelling at me to "Get out of her face". I looked at the waiter and told him I was not in her face. The manager also told him the same thing. I told the manager that I had seizures that were brought on by stress and anxiety and that the way I was feeling I could pass out. Behind the manger the hostess made a comment and then laughed.

I have never been treated this way at a restaurant in my life. Johnny Carino's has always been one of my favorite places to eat. Not anymore! They have now lost a customer that has been eating in their restaurants since 2002.

The day of our visit was 11/05/2023. Time that my husband checked in was 13:19 and the time of the incident with waiter/hostess was 14:06.
