Fred Meyer - Permanent ban

On May 4th, 2023 I was sold alcohol two separate times throughout the day without my I.D when I was purchasing for instacart orders. I came back a 3rd time, and even though they had sold alcohol twice before that day and even though I had the instacart ID, they refused to sell to me. I picked back up the alcohol and turned around to tell them I was going to take it back to put on the shelf and they said that I could not touch it. The Customer service representative working at the front monitoring the self checkout called me a [censored] so I dropped it. He said that I did it on purpose. I responded with “maybe I did because apparently I’m a fa***t,” and proceeded to call him a [censored]bag for using a slur about my sexual orientation. I was then banned after I told him he should clean up the mess. I don’t have a criminal record and even called to apologize for dropping the bottle of wine.

It was very triggering for me to be called a fa***t and yet I’m the one banned from stepping into a Fred Meyer because I dropped a $10 bottle of wine and told the abuser that he should clean it up and that he was a [censored]bag for using a slur about my sexual orientation. I am also on the autism spectrum and this situation has turned my whole life upside down.

The only resolution I will accept is a lift on the trespassing ban that Fred Meyer has put me on. I rely on going to Fred Meyer as an instacart shopper as my 2nd job to pay my bills and take care of my family. This has caused mental stress and is causing me to not have enough money for all of my bills and groceries.

They refused to contact me about why I was banned and they failed to let me know I could not visit other locations until I called and asked. They said on the phone that since I visited other locations that my ban was permanent. Management (Jamie) also said over the phone that anything that was said to me was well deserved. I will not accept the way I was treated and I deserve to be allowed back at all Fred Meyer locations without any exceptions.

Management has proven at this location to be homophobic and unwilling to come to a resolution to allow me to shop again. Do not shop at this location.

Desired outcome: I will only accept being allowed to return to any location.
