My husband has been a lincare customer for many years and a customer of Liquid Oxygen that his doctor ordered. We had to make an emergency trip to Ohio so on the 4th of August my husband called to get the small liquid oxygen tank for the car. "Kim Perrido" told him he could not get it filled in Ohio because the Medina Lincare did not do liquid oxygen anymore. My husband told he would get it filled some how and she "snickered" and said " good luck!" and told him she would deliver the unit and two tanks of oxygen. When it was delivered to his sisters house where were going to stay she told the driver he was on liquid oxygen in Charleston and they had delivered it to her house last year. The driver did not understand why the office in Charleston did not have them deliver liquid oxygen.
After many calls to SC speaking to "Kim Perrudi" she said he had agreed to that (HE DID NOT) and she just keept repeating "we are not taking any more new liquid oxygen patients!" my husband kept telling her he was not a new patient! ( we got nowhere with her at all) (Thankfully the Lincare office in Medina Ohio knew this was just not right of our office to do this and took care of our needs, and I am ever so grateful for their help. I understand they bid a very low bid to get the contract for liquid oxygen from Medicare and are now even refusing to deliver it, because they are not making enough money because of their low bid and giving the customers no other choice and this is not an issue that our insurance will not pay! ( "Kim Perrudi" caused my husband so much stress that was totally uncalled for and I intend to pursue this as far as I can!)
We will help as much as we can, I just got out of the hospital my self. But this needs to be resolved, I truly beleive that is medicare froud to make a bid and then not deliver on that!

I agree completely with what was said in the original complaint. I too am a Lincare customer of many years. I am also prescribed liquid oxygen. I've been told the same thing that Lincare underbid the contract with Medicare to provide liquid oxygen. As a result they are trying to eliminate that service. For myself and others like me, liquid is superior to a concentrator and in my doctor's words, if it works better I will continue to be more active, which will prolong my life. I recently went to Tampa, Florida for some stem cell treatments. I tried to arrange liquid while there through Kim Perrudi, the branch manager and was told that Tampa would not deliver liquid to a traveling customer. Fortunately for me, I had been left a "shorter" model reservoir just prior to my trip to Tampa, that is about 2" shorter than the normal ones. I was able to get that reservoir into our car. It cleared by about half an inch or I would not have had portable oxygen to take to the clinic for my stem cell treatment. Last night I called Lincare because they did not deliver my liquid oxygen to my house on my scheduled delivery day. I'm going to file a separate complaint about that when I'm done here. In the nearly four years I've been a liquid oxygen customer I've never had to order oxygen on my scheduled delivery day. Why was yesterday different? Kim Perrudi and the Lincare staff at the North Charleston, SC office have no regard for the health and safety of their patients. That was demonstrated to me last night, as I tried to find out why I was not delivered oxygen on my normal day, even though I told them I was out! Somebody needs to do something about this woman before she gets somebody killed. My name is Tom Baumberger. I live in Givhans, SC and I'm in the phone book. Look me up Charlotte Briggs, maybe we can do something together to get this menace working somewhere more suitable to her lack of regard for another human being.
