I arrived at my room to find a nonworking toilet burn holes in the bedspread holes in the window curtain and no towels. When I went down to get towels I had the lovely experience of a half-naked man dressed as a woman in the desk area, well exposed if you understand
Sleeping something off, it looked like with only flip-flops on in the cold. This was the worst experience in my life and being a participant in the dog show, I let everyone know I was stuck at a hooker hotel. /when I inquired about the first level rooms they said" those were reserved for "locals" hello! What does that mean? I was up all night to hear people partying and started my departure at 5:30 a.m.
If it was not late at night with 2 small dogs on a senior and not knowing the area and not seeing well at night to drive. I would have left immediately.
I would like a complete refund and Red Roof will never see me again

2 nice things friendly staff/comfy bed. Checkin late due to late checkouts by 4 hrs; dresser broken; one lamp rusted holes in shade; fire alarm off wall sitting on desk; handicap room did not ask for; handicap bars did not have covers in place over screws; no place in bathroom for toiletries; fan cover falling off; no bath towels had to request; no paper cups in bathroom; no remote for TV asked for could turn on w/remote but had to play with buttons on side of TV for full screen; ceiling light in bathroom not working both lights covered w/nicotine; no lamps on side tables; telephone sitting not connected; one light above bed out; Microwave in SPANISH we read English; only 3 hangers d/t safe mounted below rod rod 4' from floor; wrecked utility trailer parked at curb-no wheels/tires; smell of cat urine everywhere outside; 2 nice things friendly staff/comfy bed. (room 114, 4/22-4/25/22) We would have left and gotten a room at another hotel, however, all hotels in the area were booked solid due to different events happening in Charleston. Pictures on line do not represent rooms correctly; See pictures below.

Red Roof Inn - unsatisfactory room condition
I stayed at the Red Roof Inn in North Charleston, SC on 1/24-1/26/2020. When I arrived the bathroom had used soap in the tub, no trash cans, no towels/wash cloths/bath mat, etc. I reported this to the front desk associate but she did not offer to switch rooms for me or have the tub cleaned. She did at least provide me with towels. There was also trash under the bed that my dog found. The phone did not work and had no cord to plug in. The other clientele was questionable with a lot of local people living there (it appeared) and the smell of pot smoke was strong. I don't recommend anyone stay here. I would like a refund.
