Sono Bello - Liposuction - dr wright
On May 9 I had liposuction done at SonoBello. It was actually a revision from a previous procedure that I had done in 2018. I was unhappy with the results and the company and doctor who originally did the procedure agreed to redo the areas of concern. So I was scheduled for May 9, 2019 which was after my six month follow-up. My 19-year-old son and I arrive at the office around 11:45 AM and I was taken back to the pre-op room around 12:15 or sometime after 12. The nurse gave me a concoction of pills which consisted of Oxycodine, Xanax, Celecoxib, the Cephalexin, Promethazine, Zofran to take that was supposed to make me sleepy and relaxed and I was taken to the surgical room about 10 minutes after that. Understand the medication had not kicked in when was taken to the surgery room and I actually walked in the room and I actually climbed on the table myself without any assistance. It was freezing cold in the surgical room and in the pre-op room so they kept putting hand-warmers in my hands and on my chest because I was shaking tremendously. I remember Dr. Wright saying you're going to feel a little pinch I felt him cutting or making incisions. Again the drugs have not kicked in I felt everything when he inserted the big suction needle into my body and started pulling out fat and blood, he was only supposed to do the lower half of my back, my upper and lower abs during the process I started screaming and asked him to stop he went above my bra line which is an area that I did not pay for and it was made known to him that I was not going to pay for that area in our pre-op appointment the day before. That area also was not actually there was no numbing medication used at all to my knowledge. I remember dropping the hand warmer on the floor the nurse picking it up and putting it back in my hand, I remember asking him (Dr. Wright) to stop and if we could take a break and he told the nurse to hold my arms down because I was moving too much. I screamed out several times an African american nurse ran into the room I do not remember her name but I know exactly who she is or what she looks like (she had Big bushy hair). I guess I must've passed out sometime during that time but I do remember them rolling me over and dressing me they fully clothed me and left the IV needle in my arm (it was in my arm when I arrived at Presby Plano).
I also remember looking on the counter and the containers that they use to gather the fatty tissue there were three of them two were full and one was half full. My purse was on the counter and my clothing were in a bag on the counter as well. They never even took my personal belongings to my son until after the ambulance arrived and left with me.
Also they never use the IV needle it was there just for show there was no IV ran there was no anesthesia given there was no heart monitor. There was no dressing put on my wounds they fully clothed me in a bodysuit with no dressing or gauze on my wounds, there was blood all over my dress soaked to my clothes my son was in the waiting room and he actually said he heard someone screaming but he did not realize it was me until later. When they put me in the recovery room I was sitting in a chair I do believe in the nearest keep asking me to stay awake stay awake but by that time the medication that actually kicked in and I could not stay awake. I do believe that the doctor and the nurse thought that I had lost consciousness but I didn't it was the medication I woke up to the doctor giving me CPR I was trying to tell them stop I am awake I can see you I can hear you and the doctor continue to give CPR I heard the ambulance as it approached the building and I do remember them about to use the defibrillator and at that point is when they realize that I was actually alert. I do not believe that I coded or lost pulse, I believe that the drugs that kicked in and I was knocked out from the drugs and the doctor and his staff could not understand or determined that that was the actual problem, they panic and again I felt everything during this procedure I was awake I was not sleep the doctor at Presbyterian Plano which is where the ambulance take me called Dr. Wright on Friday and he told her that I was sleep during the whole procedure which was a lie on Friday evening or Saturday morning once I gained all my senses and calm down from being so upset I called and made a police report.
When I originally had the first procedure done I was asleep the whole time which means I gave the drugs time to kick in. I also was injected with some type of numbing medication because my entire body was numb for at least three months and the pain did not kick in until after the third day. Also there was continuous drainage of the lidocaine medicine or fat from those incision areas this time I have drainage there was no medication used..the hospital got the bleeding under control because they said that it was nothing but blood coming out of my back.
Neither the nurse of staff provided me any copies of the paperwork that I signed. the picture of the nurse is the person that held my arms, provided medication and that was in the surgery room during the procedure.
The staff at Presbyterian had to continuously change bed pads Thursday and Friday because they were soiled with blood.
