Firestone Complete Auto Care - Service on vehicle

Work order 228751, Firestone, Gulfway, 6050 S. Padre Island Dr., Corpus Christi, TX. Brought truck in for new tires and alignment check. Dropped off at 7:15 a.m. 3/7/23.

Also wanted brakes inspected, transmission serviced, differentials serviced, transfer case serviced and coolant system serviced. I asked to keep the two rear tires, which were still in very good condition. Please mount one as a spare and put the other in the bed of the truck.

I was called by the manager and he told me that the brakes looked fine. I said well the last two places I’ve taken it to said I had about another 10,000 miles left on the brakes, I have 96,000 miles on the truck. Would you please re-look at those? He said he would. Then he called me back and said that I would need new pads and he gave me a price. I said what about the fronts he said the fronts looked good. Then a little while later I received another phone call saying that we would need to replace the rotors do to pitting and they could not be turned? He gave me a price and said do what you can do for me and he said he would. Then he called back and said I would need brake calipers. Then he called back and said I would need to do the same to the fronts and it will be ready in the morning. And then asked, do you have any specials or discounts that can help me with this. He said he would check and try to help. I told him I needed the truck by 11:00 a.m. so I can go out of town for my mothers operation. He said no problem. I stop by the store on the morning of the eighth and spoke to Danny. He had just come back from vacation and had no idea what was going on. but he said he would get it handled. Was called when the truck was ready and I came and picked it up. Not much help on the bill. Transmission service was not done. Transfer case service was not done valve stem caps not put on tires. So I left for my trip. I’m driving through San Antonio and I started hearing a clicking sound on the left-hand side. Pulled into my hotel in marble Falls and went back up and could not back up because the brakes were locking up. Went into hotel room called Firestone spoke with Danny and told him what my problems were. I said I would not be back through till Saturday but I would drop it off Saturday morning first thing 7 o’clock. He said the manager would be there. So I drove back. Once I got home, I decided to crawl underneath the truck. I found that the left rear caliper only had one bolt in it. I also checked the brake master cylinder and there was no brake fluid showing. I have pictures of it and the loose brake caliper. I dropped the truck off Saturday morning 7 o’clock spoke with Justin told him what was wrong and also to please re-check everything and the front end alignment which they said they did prior but there was no spec sheet showing the alignment was in specs. I also gave him a list and he also wrote everything down. I was called told the truck was ready. Came back to pick up that Afternoon. Ask that everything was taken care of and they assured me. Then I ask about the information on the alignment check the gentleman who helped me went out and spoke to the manager and came back in and said they forgot to do that but they could do it. I was pretty much at the end of wanting them to do any more work on my truck. I also asked about the transfer case not being serviced, and I just received a blank stare. As I left I noticed a sign on the window that had been painted $100 off for every $600 spent. I spent $4500. Needless to say got back to the truck still no Val stem caps either. Still no alignment check record or anything else that I asked for besides the caliper being taken care of. I have lost all confidence with Firestone and particularly this store. I’ve had work done here before and had no issues, but that was several years ago. I have recommended people to the store. But that will not happen again.
