Saturday 09/21/2019 my husband took my 3 boys to get haircuts. My two youngest had the same stylist cut their hair. I usually take the boys but My husband decided to take them. My boys do not speak Spanish, and the stylist only speaks Spanish. When this happens my husband or I translate to our boys. This stylist told my husband that he needs to teach them Spanish. My husband then asked her why. She replied since we live in a border town it's my husband responsibility to teach them to speak Spanish. My husband replied we live in the United States and we speak English. He then told her that she's the one that needs to learn the English language. My husband and I do plan to have our boys take Spanish in high school and learn the proper Spanish language but she has no right telling us how to raise our boys. This conversation was done before haircuts. Haircuts were done horribly. My husband asked for hair wash and was told that they did not have hot water. My husband decided to leave the establishment since we had a prior engagement that we needed to be on time. The following day we went back to the establishment. The stylist was not there but the other stylists took photos and fixed the issues. We were told that there was no problem with the water. The boys both received haircuts and hair wash free of charge. They were very apologetic. I understand that we as human beings will have a difference of opinion but her taking it out on my boys was unacceptable. We have taught our boys to treat others with respect and treat others as they want to be treated.
