on 8/20/23 at 8;34 am I went to HEB on 2300 N. Shepard St, Houston, TX 77008, [protected] to get prepared sandwiches for a Church monthly meeting to occur at 1pm right after church. I have been buying there prepared sandwiches at this HEB for all my gathering/meetings all year of which I still have all my receipts for. on this day, I bought a variety of sandwiches/wraps and one of our elderly female church members suddenly spit out 1" piece of gathered plastic with a metal clip. she was eating a Meal Simple Tuna Salad sandwich, unit price $4.50, Used by 8/22/23 [protected].

The elderly female stated that she kept chewing and chewing and finally spit it out. This could have turned into deadly event had she tried to swallow it and choke to death from swallowing this piece of plastic. I am a nurse myself and by looking at the plastic, I am not sure if she had choked on the plastic, if doing the life saving Heimlich maneuver would have brought this piece of plastic up out of her mouth. The reason I am submitting this complaint is because, you need to make sure that the people that prepare these sandwiches are aware of this and more cautious in preparing these sandwiches. I have pictures of sandwich package, the plastic/metal clip but I do not know how to up load from my cell phone onto desktop computer . I also still have the package/plastic with clip. Unfortunately, I myself and all others at the meeting are hesitant now to buy any further prepared food from HEB due to lost of trust. thank you for hearing me out.
