I am a ubereats driver, I came to pick up food for a customer at subway located on 6394 rittiman rd, there was only one worker at this time, the time was around 11:00am on saturday feb 23, 2019. She said are you ubereats your order is not ready yet, so I understand. As customer was coming in the door, they got in front of the line, so I stay in the back to wait. There was 2 customer who was in front of me when I walk into subway, now there is 3 in front of me, as soon as she continue to help the person that just walk into the door, I said are you not going to take care of my ubereats customer, she said, I have to take care of all the customer that comes into the door first because it's our protocol. I said that not right, no matter if the customer walks in or if they use ubereats to order their food there should be a list so each food is made in the order they were requested. I don't blame the one person that was serving food that day, she was just following orders, I don't blame the manager either, what I think is wrong is who made this rule that it should be a protocol is wrong, I think customer is how we get paid, no matter how they come in to subway. It can be walk-in, or it can be food delivery, but it's not right for ubereats or any food delivery to wait long, we are drivers who is helping subways bringing money into the business. This is the first time I have experience this issue sense I been delivering food for subway, never had issue like this at mcdonalds. I hope this rule changes, I must fight for what I believe in is right, and this is a broken system, but if this don't change, well I guess I must accept it. Life can be so much better if we can treat people fair, honest, and have integrity within ourselves.
