Very unfair with how they handle charges to tenants. I am a new tenant, barely a month and have had lots of annoying issues already. During my application process, I was charged certain application fees twice and asked them to refund the overcharged payments--they did not take care of the problem. I continued to remind them since they were so busy filling their units by phone, email and even wasted my time to come in to the office to talk to them in person. After having to waste lots of my time, I decided to contact the bank since The Bradford Apartment said that I was not charged (they couldn't seem to see any charges on their end). I even showed them proof of charges but they did not reverse the charges. Therefore I had no choice but to contact my bank to reverse the charges for me. My bank charged them some NSF fee and the apartment said that I am responsible for the fees even though I am not at fault. What the heck! I haven't lived here more than a month and this really pisses me off and once I find a condo or house to buy hopefully soon...I will end this lease. Supposedly, they said I could break the lease by just paying one extra month's rent and letting them know 60 days in advance. Hopefully there's nothing shady about that and more unexpected fees that they did not tell me about.
