Thousand Trails - Unethical practices

I went to work for Thousand Trails as a salesperson in March of 2020! I absolutely loved Lake Whitney park. Even though COVID changed things in the middle of March, I still loved it. I had fun working there, and the staff was great. I loved it so much, I gave up my RV site and purchased one of the tiny homes there.

Our manager resigned in June or July. The park went downhill from there. The office staff made working there miserable at best. I finally had enough of the harassment and rudeness and the park being so rundown that it made selling difficult at best, that I resigned. I resigned in August. Once word of my resignation hit the office staff, they called to tell me I had to leave the park. Now, mind you, I am also an Elite member of TT. I filed a complaint with HR who finally determined I would not have to leave the park. There is nothing in my contract, or the employee handbook that says I cannot live on property.

Well, coming back home after a Thanksgiving trip, there was a letter on my door again stating I had to leave the park and they would not offer me another annual lease. Just in case you are wondering, I had not broken any rules, been written up, had a confrontation, nothing.

I had to hire an attorney. Then I had to sell my home! Elisa Patino, the Operations Regional or District Manager did not want me living in the park. She doesn't like employees, or former employees living in a park. Plus, I filed a complaint with HR.

She did tell my attorney that Thousand Trails would purchase my home. I have since received an email telling members how they can purchase homes at various Thousand Trails properties. I guess she wanted to make money off of the misery she has caused me!

Now, she doesn't want to acknowledge the sale of my home to the person who bought it. She wants to keep charging me for the time the home is there. The gentleman who purchased it is getting so frustrated that he is thinking about asking for a refund!

I have filed a complaint with the EEOC, because this is clearly retaliation. I was supposed to have my inquiry with EEOC on 2/15, but they had to postpone because of the weather in Texas. I will follow through with my complaint, and hopefully file a lawsuit against them.

In the meantime, however, Elisa Patino seems only to want to make my life miserable. She is charging me rent for a home I no longer own. She just doesn't stop!

Desired outcome: Mediation/Compensation
