Family Dollar

I go from store to store looking for a bargain. When I find a good deal on food, I buy it and give to the needy. I know several people who are struggling with the cost of things, and I try to help them out. Now, I find out that the buggy I was going to is no longer there and no bargains. The employees I see all the time is friendly and Mike at the store I shop told me that they no longer have the reduced items for me to buy. Why? They throw them out to the dumpster. Well, I am very upset with that. The land fills do not need the food the people do. I spend a lot of money in that store just like Dollar Tree. But, I am sickened knowing that the good food, some still in good dates are being thrown away. My dad lived on the streets when he was 12 and had to go through people trash in the streets of NY. He owned a restaurant later in life and NEVER threw out anything. He would close the doors, and reopen for the Bums to come in and eat what he didn't sell. He stopped eating at McDonalds because he found out they threw out food after 10 minutes of sitting. People are hungry not the landfills. Mike is a good guy at the Ashland, VA store, always friendly. Give him a raise for me. I love shopping there, but I am heart sick about the food.
