On August 13, 2019, I brought my teenage daughter to Ashley Homestore to shop for a bedroom set. She had two criteria. There would be shelves for storage and it would be black. There was a set she liked and a price was negotiated for $1075.00(Invoice number2520561) with sales associate Sina Mehdipanah. This past Saturday, 9/21/19, the bedroom set was delivered. It included the poster bed without the underneath storage unit.
My husband and I later that day made a complaint with the manager. It appears I signed a form with a number for the poster bed without the storage unit, the number that is posted on the sign by the display of the bed with the storage unit. Since one of my daughter's critieria for the bedroom set was the storage unit I would not have knowingly done this. I believe the sign was misleading and I was led to believe that I was purchasing something other then what was delivered. The manager offered me the unit for half price. My argument was that the original negotiation included the bed with the storage unit and I should receive that item at no cost. I feel that I was misled and manipulated into purchasing the wrong item.
Are there any steps I can take to rectify the situation.
