In august of this year, I sustained damage to my windshield (Mercedes G 550 Wagon) requiring replacement from the Safelite dealer on Plank Road, Fredericksburg Virginia. Recently the passenger side began to demonstrate water damage and soon thereafter the amplifier for the antenna that controls door locking and unlocking began to misfunction. The Mecedes dealership in Richmond VA, (Midlothian Turnpike) discovered two issues, significant water was entering the car through the windshield when rain occurred and the amplifier for the antenna system required replacement from the water damage. The vehicle is still with the dealership and has been for the last 3 weeks. I have unable to contact the complaint location prior to repairs - no response to telephone calls and internet messages left. repairs are near completion and costs sustained so far has been the amplifier system for the door opening antenna system. But further charges have occurred with resetting of the windshield and interior carpet damage. I have not seen this invoice as yet.
Because I drive interstate on a daily basis for my employment, Safelite has been my contact person for Porshe, Range Rover and Mecedes for the last 10 years. I have been a loyal customer to date and would like Safelite to reciprocate.
