Good day, Sir or Maam
My service was June 1, 2022, 11:08 am. I had my vehicle towed for service of Alternator service Oil change and State inspection on my 2004 Honda Odyssey Lx. I arrived with tow service to Firestone, I spoke with Service Dept. manager, I previously day before May 31, 2022, Donald the Service Advisor in regard to concerns of my vehicle had assured me he has look it over to ensure locate the problem and call me with the found. I received a call from Service manager stating the work was completed the only concern was the battery need replacing, I declined battery replacement due current battery in van is under warranty and asked when take battery back for replacement to AutoZone if they could put in van. the Service manager stated that was service they could not offer. Upon arriving to paid for the service $628.20. I went out to take my vehicle and it Idle extremely high, I asked Service manager why my vehicle idling so high he stated he forgot to mention it needed servicing of Idle. I asked when he called to inform of the battery why did he tell me. then my two sliding doors opened, and they had never done that before it taken 15 minutes to get them manually shut as the automatic open and close button did not keep the doors closed. Driving the van to my resident the siring wheel was hard to manage it felt like adjustment had been made also the brakes where extremely had to stop I had to stomp to stop the van it was the scariest moment of my life as I one live less than two miles from Firestone. I called Firestone upon my arrival home terrified and state to Service manager what I had experienced, he states it was the idling. I look under the hood of the van and notice black electrical tape on my parts under hood. When I take my old battery back refund of cord fee refunds my engine light was on, I ask sales associate of AutoZone if could check and the results was Coolant Thermostat below regulated temperature and 02 Circuit. Firestone never completed a diagnostic test before rendering any service of my vehicle, if they had they would have found these discrepancies and completed my vehicle work more efficient and my vehicle would not have been at the shop for even more repairs they have caused more damage to my van. I had the van towed back to Firestone on Saturday, June 4, 2022, I spoke with Service manager upon my arrival, and he treat me as if I was the problem. I asked for the store manager spoke with him about my vehicle he stated he look at and give me a call. I have not received a call as of 12:46 pm today day. I feel like I am being mistreated and taken advantage as woman getting vehicle service.
Desired outcome: Diagnostic test to find the correct Maintenace needed for before the actual service. No Diagnostic test was ever done.
Saturday, June 4, 2022, I had my van Honda Odyess towed back to Firestone Auto Care due to previous work was not completed. I had to call Firestone this afternoon to find out if my van was repaired, the Service manager stated it was ready for pick up. If had not called, I would not have received a call. Upon my arrival asked the Service manager did find problem, he stated it was the battery cable wrap around other cords from whom ever replaced the battery. I stated he no cord were wrapped around battery. He told me from the being when I first pick up it was throttling issue. than the service went under hood of the van to show me the cable cords he was talking about, and I asked why their electrical tape on part was (name of part I don't remember), he than stated he want to secure the part because it was minor and then stated it cost $90.00. So, if cashed paid for work for my van to operable $90. 00 least of concern as long van operable. I asked him if could put air in my tires because it had not been done per first maintenance. I take my van for test run and started to experience loud sound I pulled over to plastic part come off the van running under the tire once again they have put my Life in danger, I wonder if their family (wife kids mom partner) would have received such awful Maintenace Life threating Unprofessional work to their vehicle. I want a complete refund of monies back from non-work they completed. I am completely disgusted being treat with such disrespect and no human decency.
