Roses Discount Store - Cashier / representatives

My name is Judy C. Smith. My address is 1373 Ferry Point Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23464. I were at your Roses Store # 265, 6529 College Park Sq., Virginia Beach, VA 23464 on June 14, 2020. My bill came to $51.66. Since I had just came from the bank and drawn out some money, I decided to pay cash instead of using my card. I gave the cashier $52.00. All of a sudden the cashier turns her back to me call 2 other cashiers over. I ask were something wrong? A light by the size of the palm of a hand were put under the $10.00 bill. I asked again were something wrong. I asked were something wrong with the $10 bill and stated that I had just drawn it from the bank. The cashier along with the other 2 she called over would not answer my question. However, the cashier got on the intercom and call what I think were security. One of the other women position herself to look like they was thinking I was going to run. I was looking for the police to come in the doors at anytime. I asked again was something wrong with the $10? If so I will take it back to the bank and just pay with my card. They still would not answer. I became so nervous and became afraid thinking or wandering would I be the next Floyd from on tv in the news. Didn't know what was going on, a 65 years old woman and being black too. I truly became afraid and was afraid to move. If I had been thinking I would have told her just to give me back my money and would have went somewhere else and purchase the pillows, etc. This did not make any sense to me. Finally one of the other cashiers (or she may have been a manager, I don't know) told the cashier that was checking me out to give me my change. When she gave me my change I asked again have ya'll been getting some funny $10 bills? Again no reply. They kept me there about 15 minutes. If your employees can not recognized the different in good or bad money may I suggest using the machine or pens. Because there were no cause for me to be put through what I experienced. I was thinking yesterday about going to pick up something there but I just could not do it. Instead I went to Walmart and purchased it. I don't know as to whether I will be shopping there anyway soon again. But I do know that I become very nervous about shopping there. I have lived here for 36 years and have shopped there. Just because the world have became crazy don't mean that your cashiers and managers have too. Train your people better.
