I've had these two accounts since 1991. Always make my monthly payments on time, many times early & have paid extra. I've never missed a single on time payment in 28 years. I've paid my balances in full several times during those 28 years before using my accounts again.
This fall, as I've done throughout the past 28 years, I began using my accounts for Christmas gifts & decor purchased, staying within the budget I set each year.
A week ago both companies denied orders for one specific item. Upon calling I was told that due to already ordering I would have to pay the cost of new item in full at time of order & make my 05 November 2019 payment early. I thanked the young man & hung up.
I made payments Wednesday, 23 October 2019 on my Ginny's & Country Door accounts. Each of those payments not due until 05 November 2019.
Friday, 25 October 2019 I received two letters from Country Door, one letter from Ginny's stating I would have to pay full price of the specific item I'd been trying to order, or my order wouldn't be approved. Not 10 minutes later both companies sent me emails stating my credit limits with them had been increased.
I called both companies & was treated very rudely and coly by the women taking my calls. The woman at Ginny's had her say & then hung up on me before I could complete my own.
I've never been treated in such a despicable manner by any company until these past two weeks. It is quite obvious Ginny's & Country Door no longer desire my business or want to conduct business with me after 28 years. I've not done anything to deserve their disrespect.
And am preparing to contact both the BBB and our state attorney general's office regarding this matter.

Country Door - SCAM
Be aware of “Clearance Sales” SCAM by countrydoor.com. They send your order to a store (a distributor) and they do send your credit card number along. On the day my payment was to go through, I called to confirm delivery. Well, no delivery! The order has been cancelled. The excuse: well, we are out of the items. Well, guess who has my money? Just glad I was able to block the transaction.
I have been a country door cardholder and have ordered products on and off over the past 2 years. I have been a really good customer always paying my bill on time and at times paid it in full the next month. I just went to place an order the other day and they send an email stating that I have to make a down payment? I call them the next day and they tell me that I have no available credit because I did not pay an account With a sister company 19 years ago?The man that I spoke too was very rude and did not want to hear a thing that I had to say.I have never in my life heard of such nonsense. I would not recommend county door to anyone. Beware !
I ordered two galvanized planters from Country Door. One of the planters is falling apart. I have sent numerous emails, with no response. Until this is taken care of, I will not recommend this company, and I certainly will never order from them again.
