In November 2011 I purchased a 1959 Corvette from Vintage Vettes . This dealer advertised the vehicle to have a rebuilt engine. I drove the car properly for 600 miles and decided to have the engine checked out because it seemed to lack power. It was determined that the engine was in need of a rebuild I contacted Donny Dement of Vintage Vettes and he had no information in his file on the so called rebuild. I asked Mr Dement to split the cost and the next thing I got was a letter from his attorney stating that his client would not help. I still attempted to settle this matter with no luck. I filed a civil action in California Small Claims court and on September 5 2012 I was awarded an judgment Vintage Vettes still refuses to Pay
They ripped me off too! I cannot describe how badly Tommy Dement and Donny Dement of Vintage Vettes ( vintagevettes.net ) in Murfreesboro mis-advertised a 1960 Corvette claiming it's "Engine Very Strong" but their own delivery person was unable to start it upon delivery. Tried to work it out with them but zero customer service and they hid behind a lawyer. I had to spend thousands out of my own pocket to replace the engine. Beware this buyer -- guard your money. -Michael Price
By the way, here are more details on how they ripped me off:

We are Tommy and Donny Dement of Vintage Vettes in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. We have sold over 500 Corvettes at our store and over the Internet to customers throughout the United States and around the world. We have 44 years of buying and selling Corvettes experience, with 33 years of conducting business at the same location. We have had 430 positive reviews and only 1 negative review on eBay. In short, we take great pride in our business and have an outstanding reputation among our customers and in the Corvette community. Unfortunately, we have had to deal with two individuals who have attempted to extort funds after a sale with threats of ruining our reputation through negative comments on the Internet. Michael Price has already sued us and lost his case in court, but has continued to attempt extortion. Vintage Vettes has now filed a libel complaint against Mr. Price in our effort to stop his unlawful activity. Feel free to contact us with any questions. vintagevettes.net@gmail.com
So to summarize, not only did the Dement Brothers deliver cars with bad engines to both me and another victim in California (who won his case by the way), they refused to make it right, then sued me for posting the truth online for all to see just how "reputable" they are. Posting the truth is not unlawful as everyone knows, watch your wallets everyone!
The parties have resolved the complaint amicably.
