The Vision prepaid debit card sucks! The customer service is a joke. Every time you call there you have to give your full name, address, email address, work and home phone number, social security number and your card number. I always ask if all of that is nec and they tell me that they have to identify all of the above each and everytime. Getting someone who speaks clear and concise english is another story. I had some fradulent charges on my card and called to start a dispute. They told me that I had to write this dispute down and fax it to them and it would take up to 120 days for them to investigate and resolve the issue. They said that they wouldn't credit my account until after this time. I wanted to cancel the card at that point but then I still used it. I reserved a hotel room not too long ago and the hotel placed an authorization for 50 on my card. They told me that if I didnt have any charges to the room then it would be up to my card provider as to when the money would be released. It has been 2 weeks now and the money still hasn't been released. I called Vision and they told me that it can take up to 30 days before the money is placed on my card again. They also boast about free roadside assistance. I called because I ran out of gas and didn't have my purse with me. I tell them that I need gas and tehy tell me that I have a $75 limit. The man comes with gas and then tells me that I need to pay for the gas. I tell hime that I can't pay and he leaves. I call the company back and ask why wasn't I informed of the charge and theyl tell me that they are sorry for the miscommunication but yes I am responsible for the charges. ANOTHER RIP-OFF! I am cancelling the card as soon as I get my direct deposit on another card. PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY DEALING WITH THIS COMPANY. THEY ALSO CHARGE A FEE TO SPEAK WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEY ARE NOT 24 HOURS. TRY THE AMERICAN EXPPRESS CARD AS IT IS TOTALLY FREE AND 24 HOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE WITH NO CHARGE.
