The Vision prepaid debit card sucks!!! The customer service is a joke. Every time you call there you have to give your full name, address, email address, work and home phone number, social security number and your card number. I always ask if all of that is nec and they tell me that they have to identify all of the above each and everytime. Getting someone...

Vision Prepaid Freezes my account

First off, good luck getting anyone on the phone. The runaround with the 800 number listed on the website is crazy. It took two hours and multitudes of button pushes to finally get someone on the phone.
Next, be prepared to send in multitudes of documentations such as drivers license, social security number, utility bills, and in some cases even your lease. I kid you not...
I was assured by the first person that my account was good to go when I set it up. No problems. I even set up direct deposit. Come pay day, the account was frozen with several hundred dollars in it. When I called to ask why, they said they canceled the account pending documentation. I asked if the account was pending documentation, why did they accept the direct deposit in the first place? No answer...
The second person I talked to old me that without a utility bill in my name, that the funds would be perm frozen, and I would have no access to the. The third person said they put in a waiver. The fourth person said the waiver was no good. The fifth person said to send a fax with my dl and ss and they would have the account activated by 8am. The sixth person said it would take 48 hrs. The seventh person said the fax never came. The eighth person said the fax was unclear. The ninth person said to email documentation... The tenth person? Well... I'm still on the phone with them as I type this letter.
I feel like this company gives you nothing but the run-around. They do not communicate clearly with their customers, and they do put indefinate holds on funds in the account pending ID verification to their liking.
I would not suggest ANYONE using this company, as there are much better prepaid cards out there. If you do have this card, please constantly check your account to make sure no freezes have been put on funds, because as they told me "it's not our job to notify you of the freeze".

Vision Prepaid They need to be turned in for fraud

I signed up for the Vision Prepaid visa card and have had nothing but trouble ever since. They keep charing me point of sale decline fees of $2.95 even though my card did not decline. I had plenty of money on it and didn't receive any kind of error message of declination. The atm's dispensed my request and my purchases went through. I called them to let them know of their error and they said it wasnt supposed to happen and credited me back the fees. It happened again and I emailed them this time and they required that I call in. Well when I call in they try to charge me 1.95 for calling in as well. I had to email them irrate type emails for them to fix my problem. Also, most of the time they respond, its not relevant to my email. They emailed me with the requirements of card membership...you must be 18 and a US resident... strange... anyway.. Ive had to email the Better Business Bureau about their practices and Vision Prepaid choosed not to respond. their website states that they are an accredited business..but when I contacted the BBB they state that they are not an accredited business of the BBB. I emailed vision prepaid three times and when I get an email back from them it is totally blank...in other words...they chose not to respond to my question... these are shady a** motha fkahs. They need to be turned in for fraud.

Vision Prepaid Fee they dont tell you about

I didnt want a bank account right now so I signed up for a prepaid card thou Vision prepaid cards.. I have never been charged so many fees in my life I would never refer anyone to them because of the fee I have had this card for about 2 weeks and I have paid them about $100 in fees. They say that they will credit you the money back and they do and then they turn around and charge you for something like .95 cent for a weekly fee 2.95 for everything else. I order something online the company only ran the card to make sure it was active the charged me 2.95 they said the 2.95 was for a decline fee and mined you I had money on it but they still charged because the company check to see if when it was time to bill they would get there money. DONT USE VISION PREPAID if you want to keep your money

Vision Prepaid taking charges that was not authorized

Did not authorize the 34.95 that was charged. Web savers obviously got my credit card number and charged me 34.95 four times. It has not been returned to me. I live on a very fixed income so the 34.95 four times could of taken me a long way. I am now a trying to survive with the money I am making and decided that once the money comes back to me it will come back off and I will cancel the card all together. I feel that vision prepaid visa is not worth the time or the money. I also feel that not only has vision has given out my card number they also gave out my wifes email that was given to them so that we can get any alerts on any authorizations were going through that was supicious.

$61.06 was taken from my account by vision prepaid stating that it is a Umbrella protection charge of which I do not have and did not make a purchase. I am on a fixed income and my rent could not be paid full amount because of them taking $61.06 from my direct deposit. They were supposed to take care of this 4 days ago and still nothing happened, who can I report this to?

I've been using my Vision Card for over 15 years and never had a problem like these other people have. They must be using it and not remembering it.

Is this website a joke? Exactly which complaint am I supposed to be directing my "attitude"? A ###ed complaint board for complaints about ###ed companies. It's a ###ed world. Anyhow, ### Vision prepaid. Even worse than greendot. All these complaints are true, except for the guy defendiing them, and the guy who posted the 866 customer service number. That number is an activation number, it's useless for pre-existing accounts.

Absolutely horrible! Hung up on 4 times by customer service. $1000 limit because I applied online, do it on the phone and it's 2500. I've been trying to upgrade for 8 days now even they say it only takes 24-48 hours, meanwhile the vacation I am trying to pay for with it only keeps going up every day. Not a bank, not FDIC insured. Put your $ elsewhere.

Vision prepaid cards have so many hidden fees, you have to pay to talk to customer service, they really do suck. I ammediatly cancelled my direct deposit after they extorted me out $2.95 twice in one day on a pos decline where I clearly had the money in there to cover it. There customer sevice is the worse and they need to be investigated for fruadlent services. Times are to hard today to be having your hard earned money taking from you by these corporate gangsters.

I think that the fact that you have no ability to talk to a live person is senseless. And now I understand that if you do speak to a live person that you will be billed. A friend of mine recommended I try Account Now I looked them up on the internet and gave them a call sounds to me like that is what I will be switching too. I was just trying to wait and see if someone at Vision would take heed to the negative comments and make some positive changes especially giving their customers an opportunity to speak with a live representative without having to pay a fee. As for the above complaints I did not base my decision on those customers situation cause I realize that there are certainly pieces to their stories that would explain why they experienced those declines(I am not new to banking). As I am writing this comment I am suddenly realizing that I have never spoke to a live person...not that I didnt want to as I badly would like to speak to a live agent now but I never seem able to get anything other than an automated system.

Hey Vision when it comes to money people like the convenience of the automated system but when there are concerns and questions that can not be answered in that form what would you like for us to do?
