We joined Westgate Travel club only to find out that our travel is now costing us more money by using their services. We are apparently in an expensive un-cancellable contract which we never had a chance to read nor were we given a readable contract copy after the fact. When we attempted to cancel cruises we booked, we were told we would lose our deposit even though the cruise is 1 and 1/2 and 2 years away. The amount we put down on the two cruises is over $1500. When the cruise line recently cancelled two cruise due to the Corona virus pandemic, they still refused to give us back our deposit even though this cancellation was not our request ($200 and $456 deposits). We were never told this was their policy. I could go on and on but unfortunately we were duped by their disreputable and dishonest slick sales pitch and their poor customer service.
In addition they owe us a $339 refund on a travel insurance policy we cancelled the next day on January 29, 2020. We are still waiting for the credit even though I have phoned multiple times and sent many e mails.
Please tell us Daryl & William, that you were able to get out of this Westgate Resorts nightmare. If not...a politician or a class action suit is in order. We need to contact a Floridian State Rep. ~Jackie.
