They tell you that they are selling a cruise for a set price $88.00 and then they call you months later and tell you that the 88.00 is towards "taxes and port" fees and now it's going to be additional 148.00 and another 20.00 - I asked the rep about any port fees or taxes and Joshua said point blank "I see no port fees for this cruise " . On top of the scam, they are moving the prots around. I hope no CRUISE line will work with these SCAMMERS. They are RIP OFF ARTISTS !

I received a phone call from Jenny that I had won a cruise vacation from Your Travel Headquarters and she left her number for me to return her call. I returned the phone call and talked with Tom who congratulated me and proceeded to tell me that I had entered my name into a drop box for a free cruise or vacation and had won. The package included a 4 - 5 day weekend vacation aboard a carribean cruse line ship with cabin, meals and all activities on board paid. There was a minimum of two adults and I could include as many as I wanted. All it would cost is $88 per person for U.S. sales tax. It had to be taken within the next 18 months and needed to be booked at least 60 days in advance. There are 6 ports of call to choose from. It sounded too good to be true. When I asked if I could call back at my convenience since I was at work when I called them back, I was told I could and was given a number and at that time was asked MY NAME!
I just received the same call. thank you for posting this as I would have also taken advantage of such a great deal. It sounded way to good to be true.
I too just received the same phone call last night. The message was pre-recorded and it said that I won a cruise and to call this number back by 5pm on thurs. I did and the guy told me all about the cruise and that there were no strings attached and that the only amount I would have to pay is $88.00. I thought to myself that isn't too bad, and then he went on to tell me that I had to pay an additional 88.00 for another person. I told him I didn't really have anyone else to go with me, but I might within the 18 month period. I started to wonder about this being a scam and when he told me that I had to pay today, and that it was a one day promotion, I really thought that it could be BS... Nothing but.
Well, I’m certainly feeling like a dope. I fell for the scam, even though the little voice in my head told me this free cruise deal was a rip-off. Aaron Barnes was my telemarketer, and I could not get him to tell me how I had been selected as a winner. Be smarter than I was. Don’t send any money to this agency. As mere humans, it’s natural for us to get excited with the offer free vacations. That emotional rush causes us to be vulnerable, and these slick telemarketers know it. They tell you that you must lock in the award -today- because the offer is about to end, then they hit you with high pressure sales tactics. It’s impossible to get the $88 “tax” money refunded, so be wary. If it sounds too good to be true, it is.
Has anyone been able to go on a cruise through this scam? What happens after you submit your requested days for travel?
I fell for it. I have talked with them several times since pre paid the $88 for two tickets. They didn't have room for me on my first option. I returned the call when they said they wanted to schedule my second option. Then they said they needed to check and see what the Port Fees and Taxes are. I said WHAT? They wanted about $140 more per person for port fees and taxes. I said Yall said that the total cost for the cruise was $88 per person. Then they said but we mentioned you would be responsible for taxes. The guy that sold it to me only mentioned to avoid Federal holidays or I would have additional federal taxes. The confirmation guy mentioned that I would be responsible for tips, alcohol, and he did have taxes in that list, but I am thinking that cannont be much. At no point did anyone say anything about Port Fees and certainly no one mentioned taxes which far exceed the cost of the cruise I had paid for. I am angry. I asked for my money back but they said now. I am pursing getting my money back through consumer complaints to the Better Business Bureau in Illinois, and if they doesn't work, will see my attorney and as that I not only be reimbursed by that they pay the attoney fees also. I am disappointed too, since I was looking forward to the cruise. What ### must work for this organization - they know it is a scam! I hope the Illinois attorney general procecutes and that all that participated in this are criminally charged.
Wow, do i feel ripped. The above comments are exactly what i am going through now. This is a scam if i ever saw one. The saying if it is too good to be true, is so true. This company has probably jipped so many persons out of this $88.00 with no intention of honoring what they have promised and it is such a shame.
I had the same call from Jenny at US Travel Group and had to call back immediately. They wanted $93.00 in taxes for each person up to 16 people. I'm glad I checked up first! It sounded too good to be true!

Paid for cruises for five individuals for September 2010. Everytime I call to schedule the cruises I get a recording that says that someone will call me back. Nobody ever returns my call.
