I've placed an order for a recliner cable about 2-3 weeks ago at the Rochester store in Rustenburg, North West, where we bought our lounge suite a few years ago. The lady at the counter took my details and said she will phone me once it has arrived.
On Saturday, 19/09/2020 myself and my wife visited the store to buy some furniture to upgrade our school office.
I've ask one of the staff to check if the recliner cable has arrived and the guy said he will check. He came back and said I must come back on Monday, 21/09/2020 as the lady that placed the order will then be back. I then approach him politely again to check if the order has arrived. After a few minutes he came back and said the Manager said I must come back on Monday.
I then ask for the manager and only realised he was standing at the main door entrance
When I ask him for assistance he immediately respond with a very disgusting bad attitude and ask me if I were not here already a month ago.
Trying to explain to him how I've ordered the item he said again with a very bad attitude that he will not order the item and give it to me for free. My wife and I were really shocked with his comment and I said I have no intention to get it for free. He then still refuse to help me and said I must bring my order of purchase of the lounge suite.
I the said to him it's very clear that he is not going to help me and I will find another place to get the item.
When we were busy walking out of the store he said it's fine, they do not need me as a customer or to buy from them.
This attitude is absolutely unacceptable and I will make sure that I will never enter your store again, as it seems that Rochester Furniture is selecting only certain customer to buy from their stores.
