1-800 battery a scam & fraud, just review online reviews.
FRAUD ALERT, just read these reviews + Google + the very HORRIBLE BBB reviews = criminal acts…. Their ads + website & phone rep Jaylan say they "test" the battery on arrival to see if it just needs a jumpstart with re-charge as you drive or it is unable to hold charge which means a new battery is needed. Yes, the arriving worker did NOT have a battery charge tester with him & told me that he has NO tester! He told me that he was a recent Iraqi immigrant who is mainly a regular Uber driver who “does this for extra $, NOT a "certified professional technician" as they advertise & he even brought the INCORRECT battery for the car clearly described to the phone rep & even which he tried to install it without ever testing my battery & didn’t know how to install it! He didn’t even know where the battery was in the car until he looked it up in his iPhone Google search. He did jump me & I went immediately to my local Ford dealer service department who told me battery JUST needed more charge (it was parked x weeks without use), NOT replacement. They charged $100. despite ad says $75. only if the jumpstart the battery only. Where’s my $25.? No responses from them x 2 days now. 1-800 battery = unethical & gross biz FRAUD as no battery even needed if tested amps/charging capacity & installer 100% incompetent! The rest of the story is equally bad & sad & clear DECEPTION! Avoid, stay away.
Recommendation: Avoid, run away fast. Contact your local DA & City Attorney & State Attorney General in Sacramento
Bait and switch and no support
I purchased a Diehard battery for $323.99, with delivery and installation it came out to $376.04. The tech came out and instead of installing the battery I paid for, installed an FVP battery that I found on the FVP website for $150. A little less than a full year later, I wasn't able to start my car and when taking it to get tested found out the battery was dead. I contacted 1-800-battery and was told I needed to pay $50 for them to send someone out and an additional $100 deposit. If the battery is found faulty then I get $50 of my deposit back, so at a minimum I'd have to pay another $100 for the $376 battery that didn't even last a year, about $500 for a $150 battery! Very mediocre product and even worse service. Avoid at all cost!
This company, 1-800-Battery, is a complete scam
This company, 1-800-Battery, is a complete scam. I don't understand how they are allowed to operate legally. I asked for their service, but it never showed up. I waited for two days after the scheduled time, and the company didn't bother to contact me despite my numerous attempts. In the end, I had to walk five miles to purchase a new battery. Luckily, an AutoZone employee was kind enough to take his break and drive me back.
This company misled me by suggesting they had the right battery for my car
This company misled me by suggesting they had the right battery for my car. They asked for my credit card number to start the order, and they sent someone with the wrong battery type. I told the company immediately and canceled my order. They charged my credit card for over $300. I emailed their customer service two weeks ago to request a refund, but I haven't received any response. I suggest everyone stay away from this company, it's a big scam!
This company is a scam
This company is a scam.. I went online on the day after Christmas to see where I could get emergency battery replacement service. The website was quick to accept payment and state a service technician would be out within 2 hrs. I waited all day and nobody showed. I was forced to extend my stay at the hotel so I could find another option. I called the 800 number 3x's and never actually had anybody pick up each time after being on hold for over an hour each time. I left a voicemail message, text message, and live chat each time an automated message stated someone would be with me shortly. I now am disputing credit card charges for a service and product never received. Absolute nightmare. A simple answer from anyone explaining the situation would have at least shed light on why I was being ignored and paying for services not rendered.
On January 10, 2022, I bought a car battery from this company
On January 10, 2022, I bought a car battery from this company. They said it had a 3 year warranty. But they won't give me a copy of it, even though they said they would email it to me. I've talked to them many times, and all they say is "you have a 3 year warranty." But they won't give me the details. I don't know what the warranty covers, or if there even is one. No one buys a car battery without getting a copy of the warranty. They didn't give me what they promised when I bought it. They didn't keep their end of the deal. This company has been really unprofessional with me. They don't do what they say. I want the warranty they promised or some of my money back since they didn't give me what I paid for. Based on my bad experience with this company, I suggest you be careful if you do business with 1-800-Battery.
I was stuck with a dead battery in a parking lot and picked this company 'cause of their good reviews
I was stuck with a dead battery in a parking lot and picked this company 'cause of their good reviews. I put in my location to make sure they cover the area, set up the jumpstart for ASAP, and paid online. Then waited. And waited. After an hour and a half with no updates, I called to find out how much longer it would be only to find out that they were 'gonna call me soon' 'cause they couldn't get anyone out there UNTIL THE NEXT MORNING. It was evening in January so I was sittin' there with my 2 kids in a cold, dark parking lot. And they were 'gonna call me'? I would hate to find out how much longer it would have taken if I hadn't called to check! It's completely unethical, given that you provide a service that people only need when it's needed immediately to let 'em wait for HOURS only to tell 'em that they can't get helped until the morning. I live in a big city. There's not a shortage of service providers. And they should NOT let you schedule if they can't confirm first that they can have someone come out within a few hours. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I WANT TO GIVE ZERO stars but that is not an option. THE *** LEFT WITHOUT PROGRAMMING MY VEHICLE BACK TO THE ORIGINAL STATE! And you cannot even speak to a manager to get resolution. Oh and they LIE! EVEN MORE DISAPPOINTING AND FRUSTRATING IS THAT I ENDED UP AT THE DEALERSHIP AN HOUR AFTER THE *** LEFT MY HOUSE! The tech left my vehicle with fault alarms and non-working lights as he never coded/programmed the battery to my car. He told his team that he did not have the programming tool. If he knowingly DID NOT have this tool, why is he doing the work? And the next call I made to the the customer service rep said they do not program batteries. HUH? I am now paying Audi to fix this problem. I would steer clear of this company. The reduced price is not worth the frustration and additional fees I am now having to pay. In the end it would have been cheaper to go directly to the Audi dealership. At least it would have been done correctly. AND if something was wrong, they would not have let me leave without mentioning any issues - vehicle lights not working, *** assist no longer enabled, door ajar errors, etc. IN ADDITION, when I contacted customer service, they will not let you speak to a manager and when you insist on speaking to a manager, they say they are too busy to get on the call and when you say you will hold, they hang up on you. *** is purportedly the manager. I spoke to two people (*** and ***). Both times, *** the manager is too busy. And then they disconnect! And then say the call dropped. I am beyond upset for the bait and switch on the battery (as they did not bring the battery advertised on the website) as well as the fact that their tech left the job incomplete and didnt even feel the need to mention to me that there were now numerous faults on the vehicle and the way that I was treated by customer service. DO NOT USE ***! The way they treat people is unacceptable.

It took them 4 days longer than promised, and I had to constantly call and complain. They finally arrived 4 hours late and installed the battery.
I contacted this company for battery and installation services
I contacted this company for battery and installation services. The technician arrived, but they didn't deliver the battery or perform the installation. I tried reaching out the next day in the early morning, but this time the technician didn't show up at all. It has been two weeks now, and I'm still waiting for my refund, which was supposed to be processed within 48 hours. I haven't received any confirmation emails regarding my refund, and I'm unable to speak with a manager or billing representative to resolve this issue.

I've called three times in 2 days about a battery install that was done wrong and my car died
I've called three times in 2 days about a battery install that was done wrong and my car died. I had to get it towed to ***. Now I have to pay $148 to have the car checked and find out that the battery I bought from you wasn't installed right. I think this company should make it up to me for all the trouble I've been through. If you spend $311, it should have been done right. I expect this company to pay *** center or me for the mistakes your employee made.
I ordered a battery installation
I ordered a battery installation. The provider was scheduled for *** delivery (my wife stayed home all day for this). At *** the provider showed up and refused to install the battery. He said that because it had a battery charging harness on the battery that he would not touch the battery. This is not covered in any of the 1-800-battery literature or discussion while setting up the installation. The company refused to give me a full refund. I am requesting a FULL refund. Order #*** on 12/08.
ZERO STARS 0????
ZERO STARS 0? That's a zero from me to them, zero stars, zero service, ZERO! I RECEIVED ZERO. I'm giving them zero. I was charged right away $321.74 for zero people to come out and put zero auxiliary batteries in. Okay, initial time will be 8:30 A.M. At 9:30, I called. Oh, sorry, tech is running late. It will be 11:00. 2:00 P.M. 5 and a half hours later from the original time given. Tech is on his way. I said forget it, cancel my service. They now want to charge me $99, for what? For canceling. I didn't cancel! Nobody ever showed up.
On Saturday, Sept 17, 2022, I ordered a battery from 1-800-Battery to be brought and installed between 3pm to 5pm
On Saturday, Sept 17, 2022, I ordered a battery from 1-800-Battery to be brought and installed between 3pm to 5pm. But by 7pm, I still didn't get the battery and the installation, so I canceled the request. They sent me an email confirmation at 07:07pm. The refund took until Wednesday, Sept 21, 2022, to show up. But then yesterday, they took the money out of my account, $292.10, which caused overdraft fees. I messaged them to put the refund back into my account today, and they replied with: "Yes, I will submit a refund request to the billing department for you." But as of tonight, I still haven't received the refund. I have bank records if you need them.
On 11/27/22, I asked 1800Battery.com to put in a new engine battery with 900+ cold cranking amps for my RV
On 11/27/22, I asked 1800Battery.com to put in a new engine battery with 900+ cold cranking amps for my RV. The battery I had at the moment had 850 cold cranking amps. I made it clear several times that I wouldn't settle for anything less than 900+. But when the technician came, they brought a battery with only 750 cold crank amps, which is even less than what I already had. Obviously, I said no to that.
I was told that my credit card, which had the payment on hold, wouldn't be charged until the job was done and I was happy with it. However, I got a text saying that I would be charged $99 because the technician had shown up, even though I rejected the battery. Nobody called or texted me to let me know that my request couldn't be fulfilled, and they didn't mention anything about a fee if the technician arrived and I turned down the order.
I bought a car battery from 1-800-Battery on 01/17/2022, and it got put in by their technician later that day at my place
I bought a car battery from 1-800-Battery on 01/17/2022, and it got put in by their technician later that day at my place. I paid $251.99 for it, and the invoice number is ***. On 2/1, I noticed my SUV's meter was going down, so I took it to a mechanic at *** to get it checked. He did a diagnostic test and discovered that the battery had a bad cell and was too small for my SUV. Additionally, the battery was installed incorrectly. It was supposed to have a tube connected to it to redirect any fumes from the *** away from my SUV, but that wasn't done. I reached out to them and explained everything, but they just told me to throw away the battery. Now, I've been going in circles trying to get a refund. The person I spoke to was named ***.
I called 1 800 battery to replace the battery in my 2017 **** F-150
I called 1 800 battery to replace the battery in my 2017 *** F-150. I asked them if they register the batteries to the vehicle. The customer service person said they do register the batteries. The technician arrived and said they don't register batteries and my vehicle doesn't need it. I showed the technician where their website says my vehicle needs that service. He said he would cancel the call and I would have to call for a refund. I called to get a refund and talked to *** who said he can't process refunds. He transferred me to *** who started making fun of me, saying they replaced thousands of batteries and I apparently knew more than him. Then he hung up on me.
On August 20th, I ordered a service from 1-800-Battery to change my car battery
On August 20th, I ordered a service from 1-800-Battery to change my car battery. I talked to a customer service person on the phone to start this service. That customer service person told me the final price was $263.99. But they charged me $307.17 for the service. In the past month, I called 1-800-Battery's customer service line twice asking for a refund of the extra money they charged me. After listening to the recording of my first customer service talk, they confirmed that I was quoted $263.99 for the service. But 1-800-Battery hasn't done anything to fix the overcharge. They just said things like "I'm making your claim more important" and "I suggest you follow up by email." I sent a follow-up email and got a response this morning from 1-800-Battery. They admitted that I was quoted $263.99, but said "If you were charged more than $307.17, please contact us again." I want a refund of the extra money: $43.18. I hope this helps the ComplaintsBoard.com.
I bought a car battery for my 09 ** gt, but it died shortly after
I bought a car battery for my 09 *** gt, but it died shortly after. I called the replacement number and they said I had to pay a $99 refundable hold in case the battery was tested dead. The technician tested it and confirmed it was dead. I agreed to these conditions. When the tech arrived, he told me that the battery they gave me wasn't strong enough for the electronic components in my car. He suggested a more expensive and powerful gel battery, and I agreed to pay the difference. I was hoping this would solve my issues. However, less than a month later, the new battery died again. Thinking it might be another issue, I waited and got some diagnostic readings over the next 2 months. The tech charged the battery and tested it. After charging, he tested it for about ten minutes and it went from 12 volts to under ten, even when it was not connected to anything. I called the replacement number again and they told me, "Sorry, we already replaced it back in *** and we're not doing anything for you." If there's a warranty for the batteries they sell, why am I being given this answer? Especially since I've never had the upgraded battery replaced?
On 4/5/22 at 1pm I ordered a battery to be delivered and installed at my workplace
On 4/5/22 at 1pm I ordered a battery to be delivered and installed at my workplace. The shipping address was in the back parking area. I requested an appointment date and time as soon as possible for my CR-V 2014 L4 2.4L. The color of my vehicle is blue. I also provided my vehicle plate number. The estimated time of arrival was 2 hours and 2 minutes. Here's what happened and the email I sent back to them afterwards:
"I was told I would be charged a delivery fee of $105.93 because I didn't cancel the order in time. I clearly did over the phone, and there was also a confusion with the time frame. By the time I received the notification, I had already left work and went somewhere else to get the battery replaced. I don't owe them any money, and it's not my fault that they sent someone from across the state. Nope. I was given a 2-hour time frame when I ordered it at 1pm today. 4 hours later, I hadn't received any word on this, so I called at 4:26 pm to get an update. I was told it would be 45 minutes. I then said if it was later than 6pm, to cancel it. While I was on the phone with customer service, I received a text at 6:09 pm that it would be 3 minutes till arrival. I told customer service that I had already left and this should have been cancelled. I then learned that the service man was coming from across the state. I wasn't told any of this previously. Why would you take a job when you didn't have anyone in the service area? No communication! This is very poor service, and I will not pay this. If you insist, I will fight the charge and report this to the ComplaintsBoard.com."
