This will be my 2nd negative post within a month! The saga continues! Last month, I wrote about the manager at the Hurstbourne location in Louisville refusing to sell me pieces of a bedroom suite that was out of stock online but present in the store, based on a "no-holes" policy. I even complained to corporate, and I guess they agreed with my logic that, if the set was no longer in stock, that no one else would be able to purchase it, so why not sell me the present items to complete my set? Just good management, one would thing? So, long story short, he sold the set to me, and even had to help deliver it, when it arrived. Hence the problem. He was visibly "not happy" about my going over his head. But I didn't even mention this when the regional manager called to see if he had done his part. I thought it was done... but, not so much.

The headboard had an electric switch to light up and to activate the USB charges present in its frame. After he (the manager) had assembled the bed and hooked it up, he discovered that the switch did not work. Meanwhile, his helper/the regular delivery guy, was putting the mirror on the back of the dresser. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE MANAGER IS THE ONE WHO ASSEMBLED MY BED. He informed me that the switch wasn't working but that he would order me a replacement headboard. 3 weeks later, it arrived and was delivered by 2 delivery guys yesterday only for them to discover that EVERY connecting screw to this bed frame was stripped to the point that they could not undo them! NO ONE HAS TOUCHED THAT BED FRAME SINCE THE DAY IT WAS DELIVERED! I had just moved into my apartment the day before the delivery and have been too busy unpacking boxes to give it a 2nd thought, except when I noticed my mattress was slumping in the middle and removed it to see that he had put my box spring on the bed face down! The mattress was slouching between the boards on the BACK of my box spring which was face up! They are a furniture company... Right?! So, I flipped my box spring and let it go.

The delivery guys were smart and dedicated enough to figure out how to disconnect the actual headboard piece from the connecting support legs and replaced the actual piece with the switch. And I am very thankful for that. But now, I am stuck with a bed that cannot be broken down, because ALL screws (not one or two) BUT ALL the screws in all the corners are stripped. They were not able to back any of them out and they had tools much stronger than what I have access to!

I am too tired to be angry now. I'm just tired of this whole situation. I wrote on the delivery order, asking the manager to call me as soon as he got the note, even as I kept trying to call him. He would not even answer the calls of the delivery guys. Now, mid-afternoon of the next day, and after my repeated calls that have gone unanswered and NO CALL BACK from him, I just want Aarons to come remove the whole set and I will sleep with my mattress and boxspring on the floor until I can find something to replace it. I don't want to pay for something that HE messed up and doesn't even have the decency to call me back to discuss. I don't want to go into the store again, as I did the last time, after he wasn't answering or returning my calls, just to have him not even look me in the eye. I will be copying this complaint to send to their customer complaint link, as well. I've been a customer with Aarons for almost 20 years, mainly in Virginia, and NEVER had any issues.

Recommendation: CHECK THE REVIEWS FOR THE LOCATION YOU ARE CONSIDERING!

Escalate straight to Aaron's corporate office, including all the details you've provided here. Demand they either replace the entire set or take it back, as it's their manager's error. Mention your 20 years of loyalty as a customer to strengthen your case. If they don’t act fast, consider filing a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau or your local consumer protection agency. Keep documentation and stay firm on your request for a resolution!

Thank you. I realize I was venting and maybe rambling in this last review, and have resubmitted a shorter and more concise version, but THANK YOU for letting me know that someone agrees that I'm not just being petty.
