I ordered the "free trial" of the "Premium Acai Berry" from the above company back in May 2009, which by the way I cancelled right of way. However, this is the third time they processed an unauthorized charge of $85.31. Once again, Monday 12/28/2009 I noticed on my accounty that this company charged my account $85.31, UNAUTHORIZED CHARGE. I have called the [protected] and the [protected] I have to wait over an hour for a representative to answer the phone. They asked me to send them copy of my statement in where it shows the charge. As of today, I have not yet received a satisfactory answer from this company. THIS ACAI BERRY IT'S TRULY A SCAM!

The best you can do is notify your bank and do the stop payment. I tried to do it online as the bank suggested but since the check # is zero the computer wouldn't let me do it. The bank was very helpful and did the work for me without charging me a fee. They suggested keeping a close eye on my account to make sure it does not go through again. I'm planning on starting a new checking account just to be on the safe side.
I had the opportunity to have a nice long talk with my internist about the acai fraud.
First...ANYONE that is hawking a product and starts to talk about "toxins" or things in our body that are "TOXIC"...RUN, RUN, RUN! There is NOPTHING about our body that is TOXIC, except possibly an untreated appendix. THAT's TOXIC! But acai will not treat it. If you need help "staying regular", use Metamucil or some such.
I am REALLY disgusted with Oprah and her Dr. Oz. They are shoveling a bunch of crat!

PS: Doesn't matter how long ago the purchase was made, you can still get your money back.
o.k. maybe we are gullible and stupid but do we deserve to be ripped off! i sent for the free trial not to loose weight but as a detox suppliment i only weigh 8st 7lb i did not ask for them to take money out of my credit account! i have complained and i am now waiting to get an e-mail from them to see if they are going to re-emburse me . watch this space
Hey CommonSense, people sign up for this junk because it's linked to facebook and myspace apps. People get free stuff to play apps if they sign up for a trial.
The KEY is, use a prepaid gift card American Express. Get the $25 ones. Sign up for the trial ($4 or $5) then immediately go to the store and spend the other $21 on food or clothes or whatever, or more trials! For $25 you can sign up for 4 or 5 trials, get your freebies on your apps and still get the products. Sure acai berry is junk.. what the heck send it to a fat friend for their birthday!
So when those scam artists try to bill you, you have a 0 balance! Can't get money off an American Express gift card if there is no money on it. Scam the scammers!
That's why it's important and smart to ALWAYS use the american express gift card when doing trials. If it's only a $25 gift card those scam artists can't get their $79.99 Haha scam the scammers!
CYLAPRIL IS ANOTHER SCAM! Don't order it over the phone!
You won't be able to get thru to CANCEL.
I had to contact my credit card company and I'm still dealing with it!
PS: It doesn't work either!
