I started with Affinity Soultions and ADT bought them out. 2 1/2 years now I have been with ADT. My complaint has been escalated starting with my call 10/21/2024. After several hours with tech support both on the phone and virtual I was told a tech would come out and no charges. The issue that the in-person tech said was not the doorbell but Spectrum as my provider. On his recommendations I switched to Metro Net. When the doorbell would still not work, I spent another 4 hours between calls and in person. Agent in accounts management agreed to send another tech out and no charges to include the doorbell if that is what needs to be replaced. Mustafa arrives and tells me it has nothing to do with my internet company and the battery in doorbell is fried. We talked about what Salvadore had done the week prior and puts a new doorbell on. He takes it off after testing that it works because I did not have a service plan. I had been asking if it is a battery issue for over a year. He then removed the doorbell when I asked to hang on so I can get accounts management on the phone. It is this point I started asking him his name and he refused to give it to me. I became angrier and he left while I was on the phone with ADT. I have no doorbell hanging. Another 8 hours of phone calls back and forth and a total of 11 agents yesterday and today my account is now closed. Over frustration being told one thing from one agent to transfer the call to a different department and told they can't do what the previous agent promised. The last agent Megan is telling my account will not be cancelled until 12/29/24 and I will be charged for November and December. Agent prior in Billing assured me on 11/14/24 my auto payment will not be charged. Javona last night had assured me she resolved the issue and is crediting my account the $170 for 10/24/24 I should not have been charged and will credit me one month of service and replace the doorbell free to include the tech to install and the service call. She then transferred me to, Brandi who said she can't waive the charge of $354.00 for the new doorbell.
Claimed loss: My total compensation I am seeking is $299.96.
Desired outcome: A new doorbell installed free of charge for equipment, labor and tech call coming out to the house. A counseling with the 2 agents I am most disappointed with. Mustafa and Javona.
