Ordered Acai 500 never recieved product or refund Invoice 1737148 sent an email that states please allow 72 hours for response I gave them a week no reply. It was suppose to be a free trail was charged 45.82 the same day with the 4.99 shipping and handling. Still am waiting for the product that wasn't recieved and had to close my account to keep them from charging even more. I didn't order anything for 45.82 and want my charges reversed.I will also be contacting the BBB and the FTC.

SCAM, SCAM, SCAM Don't do it. I was charged just like the rest of you for 78.81 for the initial bottle. Called to cancel anddid get a refund for $70 but was then charged again $83.80 . What a scam. I called and argued for 1/2 hour and insisted I get my refund and was given every excuse why they could not. They make the rules up as they go along. I am so angry I was taken advantage of this way. No paperwork or invoice ever came with the product with directions to canel and they were never authorized to keep charging my account when I thought I only getting charged for $4.99 shipping. Do NOT order!

i'm in same situation, called [protected] number and talked to peolpe that cannot speak English and if you ask for a supervisor they tell you that they are in meetings which is a lie! If you look closely on your bank statement they charge Single-Currency International Service Assessment Fee because their bank is in Europe. This company is a scam and to talk advantage of people during this period of time is unacceptable. How can they gie you 14days to try the pills and send a new package without consent. ADVANCE WELLNESS RESEARCH INC disguests me sick sick people.

i don't know why everyone is thinking this is a scam. i personaly tried the product, i was satisfied.you have within your 14 day trill to cancle, or call to extend your trial. everything is stated in the terms and conditions. sorry but if you guys didn't read the terms and conditions that is your own fault. Honestly if that was just a add, that could have been linked to someone is house. but still you guys gave out your banking information. at least advance wellness reaserch gives you that opertunity to cancle. if some crazy hacker freak had your banking information. what chance would you have then? that why they have TERMS AND CONDITIONS... It is there for you to READ.. it states... within your 14 day free trial if you you do not call in and cancle you will be billed on the 15 day for 78.81. if you still don't cancle you will be sent a aditional bottle of pills every 30 days.. what is so hard to understand?

Advanced Wellness Research is a SCAM. Please, anybody considering ordering Acai Berry products from them, DO NOT DO IT! They charged my credit card two times w/o my knowledge and I returned products to them. You can never reach them by phone or e-mail. If you do happen to get them by phone, it's a foreigner you can't comprehend and it does no good. I have sought legal help just to shut them down! If anybody else who has been scammed by them would step forward and complain to the proper authorities (Better Business Bureau, stage attorney general, attorneys, etc.) maybe we can have them arrested and shut down. It makes me mad to know that people like this exist just to scam innocent, trusting people and they need to be shown and stopped. Everyone, please help SHUT THEM DOWN.

I ordered the free trial of Acai Berry from Advanced Wellness Research. When it arrived, I noticed that it contained a lot of caffeine which I'm not supposed to use. I didn't notice that my credit card account had been charged $78.81 until after the 14 day trial period. When I called them, I got someone named "Jennifer" who could barely speak English and after battling with her for an hour, I was told since I didn't call back before the 14 day trial was up, I would be charged. I called my credit card company to dispute the charge, but since I didn't respond before the trial period was up, I was obligated to pay. Today, I received another bottle of the worthless pills in the mail and looked at my credit card online and, sure enough, there was another charge for $83.80. I called the company and they first said something about I didn't call before the 14 days, yada, yada, yada. I then explained I already paid THAT charge - - what about the one on my account this month. I cancelled - - I didn't want anymore of their pills! After another battle, they told me I would have to pay the $4.99 shipping, but could keep the pills and they would credit my account for $78.81. This is a giant scam! Please don't order anything from them!

On March 30th a purchase of 78.81 was charged to my account also and I am afraid to close my account in the instance I may get my money back. When I called, a foreigner kept putting me on hold and then said someone from headquarters would call. They never did. We need to shut them down! [protected] if anyone wants to step forward with me on this. We need a class action lawsuit to protect us and others from this fraud!

I got charged the same exact charges on my credit. I called and cancelled and the indian woman that i talked to said that my order was cancelled and then 3 days after the intial charge of 78.81 i was charged 79.51! I called a number on my bank statement and the person i talked to then said that i could not talk to a supervisor and told me that i could not recieve any refund. How can they do this?

I was charged for the initial "trial" bottle. On 3/13/09 they charged me another $78.81 and on 3/30/09 they charged me $83.80. I received another bottle with the 3/30 charge but nothing when I was charged on 3/13. I am thoroughly disgusted that they can be allowed to get away with this. I have filed a dispute with my credit union and I should be reimbursed. Hopefully, Visa will go after these thieves with everything they've got. Tried calling the number on their so called invoice but the only person who could speak non-broken English is the girl on the recording that first comes on. After that you may speak with Sara or Jennifer or Damien but I would have to assume these are not their real names but rather an Americanized version of their birth names. I was forced to cancel my debit card so that I don't constantly have to monitor my account to ensure that they haven't stolen any more of my hard earned money. Shame on them! I will never again order a trial of anything and that's really sad for the honest, upstanding merchants. I

I also foolishly fell for the FREE TRIAL. First thing is they give you 15 days to try the free trial before they charge you. When you recieve the bottle it says "most people do not see results until the third month". Well that spells SCAM in my book. I guess that goes back to Nothing is free. I can not get a hold of anyone on the [protected] number provided. It tells you that they have a high call volume and you can reach them on thier email. When you email they do not respond. Lesson learned. Exercise and eating right is the only way to loose weight!

They charged me for two bottles of Acai Berry and was given a credit back for $78.81, was told by an agent once I send the 2 bottles back I would get a refund for the other bottle. I insured the package and wrote the RMA # on both the packaging label and inside the slip along with my address and name and order order #. I waited two weeks, but didn't see a credit back to my account, contacted the company and was told that my package was lost (how could they knew, when they didn't even check? was just an EXCUSE), luckily I bought insurance. I contacted USPS, they sent me a letter stating that the package was delivered. I contacted Advanced Wellness Research and told them that I had the letter and they needed to credit me back for the other bottle. They told me that they get millions of returns and they won't be able to locate my package, they needed my RMA# (I trusted the company and also I bought insurance from USPS) why would I need to write it down. They then told me that they were unable to credit me back. I demanded to speak to a manager the agent told me that they were in a meeting, how weird that every time I called and demanded to speak to a manager they were in a meeting? I finally got to speak to a supervisor and was told the same excuses that I was told by the agent (maybe it wasn't even a supervisor? I could barely understand what they were saying) I was then told to e-mail over the copy of the letter from the postal service and I would get a refund. 1 day later they e-mailed me and said they can't because the need the RMA# (shouldn't they have it since on of their agents gave it to me?) Excuses after excuses! The company is a FRAUD!

I read the horror stories as well. Called to cancel from the numbers above as well before eveining recieving a notification of the order. Reprsentative again spoke broken english. Said they could not cancel since it hasn't been sent. I explained that i didn't want anything posted to my credit card. Rep assured me i would be able to cancel. Asked why. Told him that this product was plaster all over internet with problems and horror stories. Said that he should research the product he is selling and stop reading a script. I immediately called my credit card company and had my acccount documented. They assured me that they would block all charges going froward from this company and that after the transaction posts they will reverse the charges and remove it from my account. Thanks to all who post warning for other people. Lessoned learned. I shouldn't have let my guard down on something like this. Normally I don't fall for things, but with Rachel Ray endorsing I trusted. Very disspointed in her as well. I got through on the [protected]. Good Luck and don't fall for it.

I also have been going aroung the globe to India. [protected]. I was changed 78.81 and when I called to ask for a refund, the person I spoke with advised me that I would receive a 40.00 refund, but only on the next shipment, which I didn't order and didn't want. offered several times that all future shipments would be $23.80! I called again the next day after finding the $83.80 charge on by bank account. I refused to hang up until someone agreed to a refund.First I was told that all floor supervisors and managers were in a conference for the next 2 HOURS. after 30 mins, I was givent to a :supervisor" who proceeded to tell me that no one in the company would authirize a refund OR even give me a return authorization. My next move is to report this to the Fl Attny General and thinking of checking for blogs for Oprah or Rachel Ray. I don't think they would be very happy to know that their names and repputations are being used in this way.
I'm sorry to have to join this ever-growing group.

I too have been victimized by this company (Advanced Wellness Research). I only placed an order for the trial package, expecting to pay $4.99 for shipping and handling. Here I am 3 months later, and over $300 in the hole, with 4 of their unopened packages on my desk.
I have tried everything I could think of, to both stop any further shipments, and get credit for the 4 packages I never ordered, to no avail.
These people need to be taught a lesson. In today's ecnomic climate (recession, unemployment, etc) $300+ is a lot of money to have taken
from you, without your consent. My only mistake was that I didn't research the company before placing the trial order. I, like many others
was taken in by their use of Oprah Winfrey's picture in their add, as if she had tried and endorsed their product (which would make it legitimate). What a scam! In case anyone is having trouble contacting these ripoff artists, I finally found a number where someone actually picked up and promised to cancel my account. I even got a cancellation number! The phone number is: [protected].

I also was scammed by Advanced Wellness Research when I ordered the free trial Acai Berry supplement and was expecting to pay the $4.99 shipping. I did not see the stipulation that you had to cancel within 14 days or they would continue monthly shipments at $83.80. I immediately cancelled my credit card and called the company to cancel the shipments. They said that they could not locate my order because I no longer had my order number. What a scam! I have no choice but to pay the $78.81 and $83.80 that I was charged and will know better for another time.

Advanced Wellness Research has obviously made millions of dollars scamming people. One signs up for a "Free" sample but it looks like in most cases (certainly in mine) the recipient gets hit for at least one, usually two, $80+ fees.

When I called, the representative at Advanced said that returning the product (which was still sealed) would be useless and that I should have read the "terms & conditions" of the free sample offer.

There really should be a class action against this company and something should be done to make them stop this theft!

I never ordered anything. Received the product and was told by Advanced Wellness that someone must have used my credit card account. Was charged $4.99 for the shipping as well as $4.99 from some dermatologist. I was told to call my credit card company which I did and had to cancel the credit card. This company is a total scam.
