I requested the Pure Acai Berry free trial supply which was supposed be shipping and handling only of 4.99 and then 14 days from ship date to cancel my trial without further product/charges. They shipped my trial product on 11/19/2008 and then debited my account on 11/26/2008 for $78.86. That was only 7 days, not 14. I have tried to call their toll free number several times and all I get is an auto answer, put on hold for several minutes and then a please leave a message. I've left 2 messages and now when I call I don't even get the auto greeting, it just states that the box is full. I am getting the impression that this company has no customer service only an automated answering machine that never gets answered. At this point I can not find a way to contact them via e-mail.

I would like to cancel the order of the PURE ACAI BERRY. It didn't help me. And for that price it didn't help my checking account either. I am sending this last order back. Please refund my $78.81 into my account. And take me of your order list.
Thanks,

I called within three days of receipt of my "free" trial offer when I saw an additional two $1.00 charges and one $.05 on my account. Then six days later, another two $1.00 charges. And then eight days after that one, a charge for $.63 and another charge for $78.81. I had no trouble getting through to them on the 800 number listed on my bank statement but the "John Miller" who I spoke with (yelled at) could barely speak English. He told me he could refund $70.00 and my "free" trial sample would only cost me $8.81. I emailed the company, filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, disputed the charges through my financial institution and had my card canceled so they can't put any more charges on it. My bank told me they have had numerous complaints about this company adding on unauthorized charges. Total fraud and thieves!

Yikes!
I wish I had known to check this Co. out before ordering. I too have begun the nightmare re: this false charging for services not requested. I am thinking this is false advertising and therefore fraudulent. Is there any such thing as a Better Business Bureau for the internet? Anybody having any luck on contacting Oprah - and what does her people say re: this situation? Any tips from ya'll and how to further extricate myself from receiving more product and being charged for it on my debit bank card? - Sherri

I have been charged twice for a product I have cancelled and have rec'd no refund. I had to call twice and rec'd two seperate RMA numbers to return the products. The email exchange from the company keeps telling me they do not have a return policy.
What is wrong with this company?
Plus their policy is to outsource to another country which makes it difficult to communicate.

Oh! My God. I have been ripped off as well and I am living in Australia. The only way I can cancel my order is if I ring a phone number that doesn't exist. Meanwhile they are debiting my credit card at a rate of over $122 au a month. Is there no end. I email all the time and I believe their responses are computer generated as they just dont seem to listen. How stupid are we to be sucked into this. Whats more is they continue to offer you discounted products when they can't even acknowledge your cancellation.

This company is a rip off. They trick you letting you think that the 4.99 you pay for the trial offer is the total cost, and as most people said, once you get your billing statement you are charge 78.81. When you call the sercive center, you realize that the call is going to India. The poor guy tries to stick to his script, but you quickly realize that he is no help and the company has clearly given him clear instruction about NOT OFFERING REFUNDS!

Check this out. I am a heart transplant patient and their product conflicts with my medication and I requested a refund and they refused. My next step is to contact legal counsel to pursue legal remedies. If they would have only taken the product back I would have just left it alone. But when the product is a danger to your life, you would think they would be understanding.
If you used an ATM or BANKCARD for your purchase, you can dispute the charge throught the bank. If it is a Visa account you should be covered.

I also was scammed by this company! I received the free supply and paid the s&h. I then received another supply that I did not want but DID pay for through my credit card. I was ALSO charged for a third order that I never received. I have spent $4.99, $78.81, and $83.80 and I HAVE NOT LOST A POUND!

I found a phone number on my checking statement and called to cancel. I was given a hard time, but hopefully was successful in cancelling. I asked for the confirmation number. I will NOT do this again!

Beware this company is a scam. Acai berry capsules for $78 + bucks and teeth whitener for about the same. Called the idiot who answered and she tried reducing cost on next order when already told of being not interested and to cancel order. Angry got scammed as I didn't read on when order placed, to cancel after 15 days. Please beware about this type of free scams with only shipping charge for trial purposes. They get you back as cost is ridiculous and your ignorance in not reading order completely. You will pay the price and not be refunded!

I am on the phone right now with Advanced Wellness Research, Inc. and they charged my credit card $78.00 for the 1st month and $78.00 for the 2nd month. I didn't even pay attention to my account and they never sent me the product. I was looking at my e-mail this morning and it was a confirmation that another charge was being put through. These people are frauds! Do not order their product. On top of everything else, the product did not whiten my teeth! Now I'm going to call Facebook where I initially found the advertisement and tell me to please take them off!

Sincerely,
T. Schwartz

Try "freezing" your credit card, and ask your bank to re-issue. Otherwise you will continue to have monthly charges. Believe me, I know.

I also ordered a free trial of Pure ACAI Berry, and I also was billed for the shipment and auto deducted from my card. I also had a very difficult time finding a customer relations number to stop any further shipments. Due to illness they bilked me out of three shipments worth as I was told by my Doctor to not use the product as it would interfere with Medications I am presently taking. After numerous attempts to contact them, only voicemail, then messages, then the mailbox is full, I finally connected with a person called "John" today, he said he cancelled my order today. This is after receiving three months of product, and paying for it, without recourse due to ilness and unavailability of accurate contact information from this company. Oh, by the way this "John" was another boiler operation out of India, I am sure they are very efficient and honest, ... note sarcasm. Jesus, what a lousy corporate citizen, honesty and good customer relations are not part of this corporations creed. These people are scammers and unfortunately I was duped hopefully you will not be. I have read all the comments about this product. When I checked my bank account at the end of the month, I was so shocked to see that $83.36 was automatically taken from my acount. What a crock of bull...I too ordered this product for only one month and keep getting it every month without my asking for it. I am sending back this month's supply and will also call to cancel. I will not recommend this product or company to anyone I know. It's a racket to get you to try a FREE supply for one month and get you while you're not looking. Kathy Borkowski

I went to Whiteningnow.com's site and read the information carefully before ordering the product. It clearly states a free 14 day trail with a $4.99 non refundable fee for shipping and handling would be the only amount deducted from my account. The next day when I checked my account an additional $24.99 was deducted without my authorization. I called the number provided and spoke to someone in India even though the site clearly states the product is made in the USA and all the addresses found on the site are in the USA. The person I spoke to sounded like a robot, continued to repeat the same information without an explaination that the $24.99 was for a light that comes with the product and is a non refundable amount. I explained no where on the site was that mentioned and I did not agree to that deduction and they just continued to repeat, it was a one time non refundable amount. When a week past and I still did not receive my order I called again and spoke to someone in India and was told it was never sent out but would be within the next 48 hours I said, cancel my order and refund all my money. They said they could not cancel the order until it was sent and received by me so the $4.99 and $24.99 amount would still stand to cover the shippment being sent. By this time there was an additional .12 cents and .60 cents deducted from my account and I was told by my bank these were international charges. How can something be made in the USA but have international charges? When speaking to my bank I filled a dispute with the company and have been refunded ALL the charges and I think if enough people did this, this rip off company would be forced to stop doing business like this. I will never buy ANYTHING from them again.
They claim to be located in Florida and Illinois and state the product is made here in the United States yet all their phone numbers connect you to someone in India. The kicker is, the person I spoke to at my bank said they used the product and had to stop because it was making his gums sore and teeth sensitive so I guess I'm lucky I didn't get the teeth whitener after all!
