I applied for a job offered by Aerotek. Then went to their office and filled out an application with professional contacts included. And waited. And waited. I called three days later and said that they cannot confirm my previous employment so they will NOT be forwarding my app. and resume to the perspective employer. I said why the heck not and was told...

Aerotek cr*p

I was recruited By Aerotek in Jacksonville FL to do a 6 month contract job. The job was in my college degree field, so I was very interested. The recruiter, who was about a 25 year old frat boy, was very persistent and worked very hard to get me on this job. They were having trouble filling the position, because it was 63 miles away in rural Georgia.

I was new to Jacksonville, and needed a job so I took it. The pay was exceptional because of the distance, and considering gas cost me about 220 dollars a week. My recruiter stayed in contact with me for about two months into the job, and that was it. With the end of my contract looming, I called my recruiter about 20 to 30 times with no answer or callback, before I finally had to just *** early and go to there office. He fed me a line of crap about all of these companies who were impressed with my ability, and resume. These turned out to be lies, and now he won't return calls or e-mails.

I have been jobless now for about a month and I am done trying to get anything out of Aerotek. I get very pissed every time I think about all of the unprofessional frat boys that Aerotek employs. I don't even know they require a 4 year degree to be a recruiter. I have worked with high school dropouts that are a *** of a lot more professional than these clowns.

I Do Not recommend Aerotek to anybody for anything. You are treated like a piece of disposable crap, and ignored anytime you try to talk to them. All they want is to fill one job, get a payday out of it and that is it.

I worked for aerotek and was laid-off after three months
It was a great company they sent me to
Do you know how long the aerotek contract lasts.
Is it 6 months or a year?

Aerotek worst staffing company ever

I have been contacted by a recruiter at Aeotek that was very impressed with my resume. I went in and met with him, and we spent just 15 minutes chatting about my previous jobs. At that time they did not have anything that I would be a good fit for. A month later, another person in that same office called me and I thought they were going to talk about a job, no they just asked me the same questions that the orginal recruiter asked, and he told me that he didn't have my references, I told him that I had already submitted that with my resume and application. Then I smelled his BS and asked him if he had a job, and he told me that he would have to check the board with his manager, I asked him why he called and he told me he had opportunites but had to check with his manager first. He never called me back. He had nothing but lies for me.

Aerotek is a scam

I was contacted by Chris Martin with Aerotek from the beaverton office in regards to a customer service job for IBM, I was scheduled an interview and came in went through all their online testing, background check, filled out a I-9 online giving all my personal information, I was suppose to start may 3rd 2010 then molly employee of aerotek called stating the training classes was be pushed out to may 17th and promised no more delays, Well she calls me today which is may 10th and says that all beaverton IBM training class will be Canceled- that means I was dicked around since march and in the end NO JOB! But why would a company go so far into hiring process just to screw with people! This is a major SCAM and I wish I waS NEVER sucked it! I will be filling a complaint with BBB and u should aswell, I want all my personal information back!

I was just hired by Areotek. I am being sent through UPS a package and Company called Archway Marketing Services. I have not a clue what it is. Also they (Areotek) wants me to buy copy paper for the $2000 online check to be printed. "John Dickson" said to go to a casino to cash it? What is this? I haven't done anything like this. I haven't contacted them since they told me that I got the 100% remote at home job. They do have my personal info. I made a huge mistake!

The company, Aerotek as we'll as it's parent company, Allegiance, is not listed with BBB so filing complaints against them through BBB, will be futile. Best way...file or copy and paste your review and post them as much as possible. Preferably on cities where there is a Aerotek.

Strange thing that their recruiter set up an appointment with me, sending me email telling me to be absolutely on time. I came and the recruiter never showed up and I heard nothing from her since. They basically had no jobs match for me and just took advantage of jobseekers' desparation perhaps just to entertain themselves at our time and monetary cost. It also ended up costing me a 300$ traffic ticket to be there on time yet, again, their recruiter never showed up or contacted me thereafter. They suck big time.

Aerotek very unprofessional

I worked for a client of this company for a month in Arizona. Then I had a minor injury which was work related. Their whole attitudes changed then. The manager at the client appreciated my work and understood when I left that due to my injury I could not work there anymore. Most of the office staff at Aerotek in Phoenix were very cold towards me when I informed them I had some pain in my back related to the work. Their own doctor agreed it was work related. I only hope now they will at least pay for the doctor bill. I would never recommend this staffing company. I have worked for many smaller agencies and have had better luck.

Aerotek lack of integrity

My *** is with AEROTEK employment services(staffing) I applied for several positions they advertised and sent my resume to them, only to have them ignore me.

My resume reflected the skills and qualificationas they were looking for to satisfy thier client. Because mty resume didnt reflect any recent aerospace industry exp. they shunned me.

What seperates a aerospace warehouse from any other warehouse? Is it the concrete? The smell of the product? The people? I dont get it. At any rate, Aerotek staffing gets an award for the most STUCK UP, *** UP, LOUSY staffing services around. And thats about it.

I think Aerotek is fronting as a collection agency too. There is big money in debt collections and selling Emails. My spam box jumped 2 fold since trying to do business with Aerotek. BE CAREFUL.

I think both of these comments are very disturbing. I've worked with Aerotek several times and have been treated amazing every time. It was explained to me from the get go that Aerotek doesn't find every person a job. They are in business also and place people who are the perfect fit for what their client is looking for. I'm a technical writer and that is what kind of jobs they put me in. I have some experience from 10 years back as a graphic designer, but I'm not stupid enough to think they could find me a graphic design job because why would a company want to pay Aerotek to have me do it when they could find someone with recent experience. Also that's complete BS that they take money from your check to find you a job. That has never happened once. Aerotek is A ok in my book

Be Careful what you wish for...
I wish I searched complaints regarding Aerotek before I took a job assignment with them. The office in California I worked for didn't care and didn't offer to get you out of the assignment even when I complained the 2nd and 3rd day that the company they sent me to was Unprofessional in it's training. I was given a suttle threat to make sure I had something else lined up if I felt I could not work the assignment and I was hung up on. I don't understand how they even call themselves looking out for their clients b/c looking out for the rep in turn helps you with your client especially if you know ahead of time that the person you assigned and have no plans on getting her placed some place else might quit on you b/c the training environment was unbearable. If I were the client I would consider it a rip off of their time and money. Aerotek still get's paid not to mention the 40-60 bucks they take from your first check for them "finding the job and assigning you". I was more verbally professional on the phones than the rep who was training me not to mention there was no training materials no print outs no manuals, no simulations on the computer nothing. I did learn a huge lesson and that's to find out and ask when your sent on the interview by a temp agency to go and interview with the company you Might be working with ($10.00 in gas) is to find out exactly what they use for training because if the training is crappy and if the temp agency doesn't care about you you have are screwed and you better pray they are taking out any extra fees that they say you owe them due to you breaking your contract.

I have had the exact same experience with Aerotek. My resume is posted on [almost] every job board as well directly submitting it online to [almost] every staffing/placement agency in the western hemisphere. I am located and have 'applied' for every position matching my qualifications in and around the Phoenix, Arizona metropolitan area. A large percentage of these jobs were posted by Aerotek. There was absolutely NO RESPONSE to any of my phone calls, emails, or submitted applications/resumes regarding their posted open job opportunities. I would bet the farm they are a fly-by-night operation targeting [us] down and out, unemployed, and 'willing to try just about anything' people for [our] personal information they can use and abuse for their own financial gain. Do yourselves a big favor and steer clear of this company's job postings!

Aerotek bogus company

I tried to use aerotek as a professional recruiting/job placement firm and I was deeply disappointed. Their initial interviews were ok. I was excited by their enthusiasm; however I have realized through time that this is a bogus phony organization. I have contacted this organization 3-4 times over the past decade with the same results each time. They suck! Do not waste your time with these creeps.

I will not use this bogus phony placement firm...

They waste your time, you driving to them for a job interview which is nothing short of smoke and mirrors, and when you thinking you're going to hear back a year have past then you realize nothing came from them. I live in Indiana I have driven 1+ hour away (Illinois and southern Indiana) for a bogus interview at their "main office" just to get nothing for the time and gas investment and that happened twice...stop using their Santa is real service.

Well I'll disagree with that they are bogus..they do exist. But in the same line that kids believe Santa Claus exists because they get presents.

It's an awful company to have any dealings with..steer clear..and find it yourself.

Aerotek poor customer service

Once again this agency is not responding to a position I've applied for. I even tried contacting them through their live support which was of course of no help and very frustrating. I asked the live support agent if they could help me get through to anyone at this agency's location and they just kept repeating themselves and saying that I have to call the office. I responded that I had tried that several times and could not get through to a representative that could speak with me about a position that I was interested in and that this was not the first or even second time this has happened. Why is it yesterday I had a perfectly normal and positive experience with a different agency (miracle!) and when it comes to Aerotek you never get a respone, not even an email, and you seem to be better responder as an applicant than they do as a recruiting agency. I don't know who they are recruiting but it certainly seems that other people have the exact same negative experiences that I do with this agency. They better shape up because there are plenty of other agencies out there competing against them and people are going to start going elsewhere!

Aerotek unprofessionalism

This company is full of unprofessional people. They contacted me to present my resume to the employers. Gathered all sort of personal information and professional references and promised to reply back within 2 business days. I waited for a week but there was no phone call or email. Finally when I wrote an email asking the status, still there was no answer whatsoever. Then another idiot calls me promising the better level of service. He told me he has 2-3 companies interested in me and scheduled an interview for me with only one company. As soon as i went for an interview, he started calling me every now and then to enforce me to accept the offer with the company without even giving me a choice to go for an interview with other companies and decide which one is better for me in terms of career advancement, working environment and people.

I accepted the offer and started working, and the very first day when i was taking lunch, i saw a small dog roaming around in the office. Then i found out that people bring their pets to the office and let them loose to check people whether they are eating or drinking. When i called Aerotek to complain about it, they told me to talk to the employer and sort it out and refused to find me another job.

I personally consider my work place similar to a worship place. My question to all working community out there, are you allowed to take your pets to your worship places?

Please DO NOT get trapped by AEROTEK. They are very unprofessional and unethical and rude.

I emigrated to the US in 04, and signed up with lots of agencies, Aerotek being one. In the 8 years I've been here, Aerotek have called me numerous times, blowing smoke up my behind with promises they can't keep.

First of it's the How you doin phonecall, with the premise of lots of jobs in your field, then please post your latest resumes..excellent, and professional so far. Then they want you to travel from anywhere Ohio, to meet the recruiter for the 10 minute handshake, (which is a waste of time, it's checks a box for client visit) and pump you up about the job you're about to get hired for..how could your next potential employer say no?

Several times this has happened, and always at the last minute Aerotek have come back and said "Awww..they wasn't looking for you specifically..and then give you a counter offer, of a job that they have been trying to fill for weeks.

Bait and switch.

I was offered a job, details over the phone sounded wonderful, came in to sign the contract, and the hourly rate was different, the shift was different, and I had never set foot inside the factory, or knew who I was working for.

Bait and switch, and very unprofessional.

If you're desperate, fresh out of high school, and need a job..look in the newspapers, or do the leg work yourself.

If your in your 40's, 20 years of experience, and expect a certain level of courtesy and professionalism, go to Career Builder, and tell Aerotek, to step up their game.

There're lazy [censored]s, and don't give a crap about their clients.

After many attempts s to reach the Aerotek agent Corrie Wells, in San Marcos, never returning my calls...Her exact words “I don't spend much of my time on Low Level Positions such as yours" This person went on to tell me she just got back from Europe and did not have the time.

Personally, I think that's pretty cool and I'd love to work in an office that's that laid-back :) It's not so unusual though-- many companies around where I live bring their pets to work: hair/nail salons, small mom'n'pop stores, etc. 'Course the animals are pretty well-behaved, but still...

Aerotek no follow ups

I, too, have applied for several positions for which I am well qualified. I've followed up with Aerotek to thank them for their time and to then ask where they were in the hiring process. Of couse I had to leave voice mails because no one ever seems to be at their desk.

One time, however, I did receive the chance to talk with someone who was dumber than dirt (he had no idea or any information as to be resume I had sent). He told me he would get back to me. Well guess what - no getting back to me.

I would like to understand how this business stays in business. If I ran my current part-time business this way I would be "belly up" by now.

Raspberries to Aerotek. As far as I'm concerned, you are useless and should not be permitted to prowl on folks who spend a lot of their time applying for positions they will never get or even hear about again.

You're scums and scammers and thankfully we're fortunate enough as Americans to be able to allow our voices to be heard.

there is just somethign wrong with aerotek-- everytime i tried applying for a position through aerotek---they somehow either make me go through a 2 hour interview and dont call me back or they mistreat me-- ALWAYS. I am always qualified for these positions and it makes no sense-- I think either they discriminate or something is wrong with the people who staff or work at these places...this happened with the aerotek in orlando on corporate drive...strange place with weirdos who work there...unprofessional idiots to be honest...

i agree aerotek is horrible...I applied for a job and went to a job fair--i was beyond qualified for the position...and probably one of the better candidates for sure...yet aerotek didnt even give me a fair chance or a real interview-- I was rejected before the interview as the female claimed she'd 'sit down with me a few minutes' condescendingly then drilled me for a bogus interview---which was more just a negative campaign towards me...they are a shoddy company and their recruiters are horrible...immature rude beware

My experience with Aerotek in the DFW area has been a bad one with the exception of one employee. The rest have been horrible at follow up but that seems to be the case with most agencies. Aerotek employees never seem to answer the phone and email? Forget it. They don’t seem to pass along resumes to each other.Don't they get paid through commissions? You can be up for a job, be interviewed and if you aren’t hired you there is no further contact. Then you see a job posting you’re obviously qualified for and you have to contact them again. I need a job so I contact them but what are they doing with resumes after someone isn’t hired? Seems that an efficient company would have them on file to pull from. There I go being all logical and efficient again. What is wrong with me?

I have read the many comments about Aerotek and I would like to say this much: Yes they are courteous enough to respond to my emails, and phone calls; but, however I went through a Hazmat training class, 24hr 12 hours a day for the oil-spill clean-up project. I put in time and money running here and there from Ocean Springs MS to Pascagoula MS back to Ocean Springs to be told, I would be contacted in 48hrs as to where I would be working and when. Unfortunately after 48hrs I'm still waiting, I've tried to contact my recruiter who will not return my calls or emails. I've done my physical and drug test and background check which I passed. And here I am still unemployed waiting feeling like a sucker, because I'm not working! Aerotek needs to be up front and honest when telling you yes we will contact you! then do it, stick by your word, we have families to support, as I'm sure aerotek employees do too. Which should make you understand the importance of a follow-up call. Whether to say yes you are hired, no your not and we put you through the b.s. process and class for nothing! Please take into consideration the time and money we put into looking for jobs, going to hazmat classes, being told we had the job, til still waiting.. i mean.. really? This is a bit much.. Step it up aerotek!

I would disagree with the above statements. Aerotek along with other recruiting agencies help thousands of people find employment every day. Many of whom would never even be aware of the opportunities. Not to mention having a partner in the industry to push for interviews and market your skills. Usually, when candidates are not called back it is because they are not employable through the service. They have too much expereince, too little or not the correct background, etc. The clients that recruitng companies work for only want the top 25% of the work force. If your are in the top 25% you would get called back. Remember these companies are RECRUITING companies, not employment agencies. They are looking for specifc people for specific jobs. If the posting are vague, it's because of the erroneous laws that prohibit details. Moreover, from my past expereince working as a recruiter for 3 of the major recruiting firms I would say that it's almost always a situation of the applicant THINKING they are qualified for the job that causes problems. Most recruiters field between 100-150 calls per day and they ARE trained to spot good resumes and decifer B.S. So maybe you should just relax a little because recruiting is a 5o billion dollar industry and companies obviously find value using a service. Probally so they don't have to deal with people like you.

First of all, thanks for sharing your experience. Secondly, I would suggest our employers to hire directly from the job market, cutting these idiotic recruiting companies from the middle.

As you mentioned, these idiots don't have any idea whatsoever about your resume and which jobs you applied to. All they care is about their commission.

Please DO NOT fell to their sweet but false promises. They are bunch of illitrate idiots who earn their bread and butter riding on the shoulders of educated and professionals like us making us look like beggers.
