Aireloom Another aireloom failing mattress

At 8 months old, our Aireloom Carlsbad (a firm mattress) went from great support to horribly soft. Both my husband and I (6’2 195, 5’9 150) wake up with aching backs multiple times a night and take turns sleeping in the one hump in the middle that still offers back support. We cannot see a 1.5” crater so we are concerned we won’t pass a manufacture fail test at this point. Our box springs are fine. Our frame has support in the middle / equally distributed. This mattress is terrible and failed so quickly (8 months from purchase) especially at the price point. Our last comparable mattress lasted 10 years. I can’t scream loud enough to not buy this brand of mattress. I’m also writing to Mancini’s to advocate that they stop carrying the brand. The mattress integrity fails quickly.

Claimed loss: $3,000.

Desired outcome: Replacement mattress or refund.

Aireloom Aireloom walnut mattress and box spring set

This is my second submitted complaint for the same issue. I’ve graciously endured enough pain and suffering from this faulty mattress. After only one year of purchasing the Aireloom Mattress Streamline Walnut Bed, the bed had premature permanent sagging. The sagging on both sides of the bed created this big lump in the middle of the bed. As a result of the first complaint, an inspector measured the indentations(7/21/21). He did not accurately measure the indentations. I weigh 124 lbs and my husband weighs 235 lbs. If you compare the amount of sagging, his side is even greater and is obvious yet the inspector measured both sagging sides to be equal. It feels like I’m rolling down a steeper decline off the lump in the center to his side of the bed. Both sides of the bed have extreme permanent sagging. Since the denial based on the inaccurate inspection. I would have appealed it but my husband and I were consumed with caring for his mother who was newly widowed and had Alzeimer’s. I attempted to even out the sagging by filling the sagging hole with towels, filling, and fabric to level the sag. Nothing helped. Now not having any relief from the stress of the bed on my body, I am unable to sleep on the bed because the severe sag ruins my alignment, I wake up with neck pain, back pain, burning shoulders, pinched nerves, and numb arms every night so much so that I can not sleep on the bed. This bed doesn’t give me rest, it debilitates me. I wake up unrested and in pain. I have had to get regular chiropractic treatments to alleviate the back pain and the burning sensation in my shoulders from sleeping in this sagging hole which in effect forces my body to sleep in a slouching position. Since my husband and I have been waking up hunched back, with stiff and painful backs from sleeping on this Aireloom mattress, we have resorted to sleeping on our guest room bed which is from Ikea. We wake up refreshed and without pain sleeping on the inexpensive Ikea bed. I paid a lot of money for this Aireloom bed and I shouldn’t be waking up injured. I have endured years of pain, suffering, psychological distress from lack of rest, and incurred chiropractic expenses. This was an expensive bed and would like this pain and suffering rectified with a refund or replacement bed at no additional cost whichever is quicker. And I definitely do not want the same bed. I am frustrated, angry, impatient, and at my wit's end. Even this entire process of submitting a 2nd complaint and going through a 2nd inspection not to mention getting another bed is a horrible inconvenience. The bed has clearly deteriorated and no way has improved since the first complaint and inspection. This bed is defective and I’ve read many reviews with the exact complaints.

on June 7, 2023, a second inspection was done on our sagging bed. The inspector found the mattress sagging even more compared to the sag noted in 7/21. He was extremely thorough investigating the cause of the sagging. In turning the box springs over, he found both box springs had cracked supports in the frame which clearly would have caused the sagging.

To date, Aireloom authorized the replacement of the 2 box springs. As advised by Mattress Pros last week, where I bought the mattress, we placed the king mattress directly on the floor to see if the sagging would correct itself without the defective sagging box springs underneath. As expected, the sag was not corrected. The sag is permanent rendering the bed unusable. I believe the first inspector from 7/21 did not thoroughly inspect the box springs. He was quick and did not turn over the box springs as this recent inspector did. The box springs were most likely broken in 2021 when it was first inspected but it was overlooked by lack of thoroughness. This bed is defective and a piece of junk! After over 2 1/2 years of enduring the pain and suffering from frustration, lack of sleep, pinched nerves, and the anxiety caused by thinking I was having a stroke from the numbing of my arms.

Desired outcome: I paid over $3800 for this expensive defective bed. I would like a refund or replacement mattress as soon as possible to put an end to my husband and my suffering. Please rectify as soon as possible.

Aireloom Hillsdale Churchill Mattress

We purchased our $4,400. mattress in January 2020 from Mancini's Sleepworld. The top of the mattress has pilled up and there are several slits in the fabric.

The mattress has had a protective cover on it the entire time.

We took pictures and showed them to the salesperson at Mancini's. He said that he had never seen anything like this before. He set up a mattress inspection for us with Integrated Bedding Group He also commented that he had never seen something like this and completed his inspection. We feel that since a Mancini's employee and the professional mattress inspector have never seen anything like this, that it may be a one-off and should be replaced.

We received a call from Mancini's Petaluma store manager who informed us that Aireloom wasn't going to do anything about the damage.

Desired outcome: Aireloom should replace our mattress before it denigrates any further or offer us a full refund.

Aireloom Huge sag

Within a few months of purchasing our expensive Aireloom mattress with foundation, the mattress developed a deep sag in the middle on one side. We contacted Aireloom and the company we purchased it from. There was a light yellow spot on the mattress. As a result, they claimed that voided the warranting. We purchased this from a store in Lewisville, Texas.

Desired outcome: Replacement or refund

Aireloom Aireloom fiji ultra firm-king model 010634

1/22/2021 Purchased Aireloom Fiji Ultra Firm King Mattress, Model 010634 for an additional $2,700 after exchanging a failed Hasker Firm Hybrid Model 369231,which cost $2,500 (deep valley impressions after 1 year). Now Aireloom mattress has valleys/deep impressions on each side, which is completely unacceptable for an ultra firm mattress. There shouldn't be any impressions after 1.5 years in any mattress that costs $5,000! Purchased from Mattress Warehouse, Williamsburg, VA. Sleephappen.com, warranty service company for Mattress Warehouse, promptly sent inspector to take measurements. Within 7-days timeframe, received 'denied' letter that stated product was not eligible for exchange & no warrantable defects were present. That body impressions were expected & innerspring mattresses require an indentation of greater than 1.5" to be considered a defect What? So what in the world does a 10-year warranty do for you if your mattress has valleys that are so deep that causes backaches & such uncomfortableness, you'd rather sleep on the couch? There is a big untouched mound right down the middle of the bed. We rotated our mattress as suggested every couple of months, which is a pain when you're seniors. That didn't make any difference. We decided to make this highly expensive purchase thinking this would be the mattress that would last the rest of our lives. WOW, were we absolutely, positively wrong! Not only hasn't it lasted, but this expensive piece of crap, can't be exchanged, nor does the manufacture honor any warranties, and/or resolve complaints, that most manufactures would do to keep their consumers happy & to have repeat business. Mattress Warehouse wrote it can't/won't honor any exchanges based on inspection report. A copy must be requested from Aireloom/E.S. Klufts & Co. I wouldn't recommend this mattress to anyone, at anytime & am hoping those visiting this site doing research read all the negative reviews before buying anything from Aireloom. For that reviewer stating consumers don't know which firmness to select in a mattress; Lady, that's not the case here! We are ultra firm mattress folks & have been for more than 50 years! We thought we were buying a quality product from a reputable company. Icing on the cake was receiving an 'addendum' to the non-existent warranty to purchase a 'Bunkie Board' for the mattress. What? Can you say 'Sucker'?

Desired outcome: Exchange or better yet, refund my hard earned cash, if company can't resolve issue without making us pay for return/exchange. Please honor your warranties without making your customers jump through hoops.

Bought this mattress a little over 3 years ago. Spent over $5000 which was way more than I intended but the sales person at Star Furniture convinced me that this mattress was superior in the way it was made. After only 6 months of use I could tell the mattress was sagging since it was like climbing a mountain to get to the other side where my husband slept...

We purchased an aireloom-a12245-ekm 6/6 mattress serenity plush from sit n sleep in california. It was delivered on 2/14/2014, so the mattress is now only 6 years old. I weigh 200 lbs and my wife weighs 130 lbs, so we are very average in weight. During this last year with the mattress, we are finding that it has become much less resistant to our body weight...

Aireloom Aireloom pure luxury collection

I bought this mattress at Raymour and Flanigen a couple of year. I was told that it is the top mattress they have in the store that we would love it and they last forever with a great warrenty so I was told. My mattress started show signs of wear and tear fast and started to falling apart. The sides are bulging out, I have deep sink hole spots in multipule areas on the mattress.. My wife and I both are have neck and back issues and have horrible nights sleep toss and turn all of the time! I spent over $3000 on the Mattress for that amount of money I should not be complainingabout any of the things in a short period of time after my purchase. I was toldin the store it was the top of the line mattress and did some research and did get good reviews. I hate to say I'm very upset with my purchase and would like to see if I can get someone to repair my mattress, replace it, or refund my money back so I can buy another mattress that I could sleep on comfortably at night. I would like to get a email back ASAP at [protected]@yahoo.com or a phone call at [protected]. Thank you I hope you can help me out and solve my issuses with you faulty mattress.

Aireloom Aireloom king size firm

I have tried multiple airelooms from multiple different retailers and I love them all BUT our bed. Our mattress never felt or performed like the 3 showroom models. Our bed was delivered with a ridge on the middle from the box springs and you have to roll uphill to lay in the middle. If you lay anywhere near the middle your body slants and isn't flat. While rotating our new mattress, we noticed this ridge was present in the bed in any position we moved the bed, right over where the box springs meet, even if the mattress was diagonal. The motion transfer was the worst we ever experienced contrary to what aireloom states about the product. When you lay on a showroom model they have a magical hug. Ours feels like weird mountains and valleys unlike 3 separate showroom models. I can also feel the tufting under me pressing into my skin instantly from day one unlike showroom model. We also feel the transition between the side layers and middle of the bed. We were asked to place the bed on the floor and most of these issues went away, such as, midline ridge and motion transfer but it's just not the same bed as the 3 showroom models. We spent extensive time laying in 3 different store's airelooms and ours never felt anything like those. In fact, our mountains instantly create pressure points. Laying on the showroom models where extraordinarily comfortable instantly but ours never felt anything like the 3 showroom models. We tried to sleep all over it but due to the midline ridge this was impossible. So we massaged it and had our son walk all over it. It's been 2 months and it's just not the same bed as the showroom floor models. The store owner doesn't understand our complaints but other bed experts do. So we have contacted aireloom directly and we shall see. We do have the option to pick any other bed in the store but we love the aireloom showroom models. We just want our bed to have same features and feel of the bed we tried in the showroom. We understand and appreciate the handmade beds and materials that are used. I love the aireloom feel I want to sell them. But for whatever reason some of the king's seem to have this strange ridge in which you feel the midline of the box springs hence creating an instant cradle on each side as opposed to being flat like showroom models. My theory is the mattress is unable to perform like their supposed to. It performs much better on a flat hard surface. I'm not sure why you can feel the box spring through the mattress. We are determined to have the aireloom sleep system I experienced we felt in 3 different showrooms because they are that extraordinary.

Aireloom The 20 year "warranty"

We purchased the Aireloom Emerald Queen bed set in 2012. Although it cost more than double what we intended to spend on a mattress set, we were reassured by the 20-year warranty backed up by the company. The bed afterall looks plush and is very comfortable when it first comes out of the plastic. After the first 5 years of use, and many rotations, the bed has a sag. We are not of unusual size or weight, and we don't jump up and down on the bed. So this was not expected. We have contacted the company twice in the last 10 months complaining about the mattress performance. Each time, they sent an inspector, who conducts various measurements on the mattress. And, each time, the determination was that the mattress did not have enough sag for the warranty to go into effect. THE ISSUE IS THAT NO MEASUREMENTS ARE TAKEN WITH ANY IMPRESSIONS OR WEIGHT BEARING ON THE BED. No matter how unsaggy a bed looks when you're not laying on it, it's worth nothing if it sags with weight placed on the mattress. In order to cash in on their "warranty", you have to sleep on a SAGGY MATTRESS for years, until it sags so much that their NO PRESSURE/NO WEIGHT measurements reflect any kind of sag. You think you're getting a high-end product that will last you 10 or 15 years, but it's worth less than a cheap mattress after a few years. We are very disappointed in the deceptive 20 year warranty.

We purchased our Airloom believing at Haynes Furniture Richmond Va in 2018. At the point of sale we were promised 12 year warranty with proformance guarantee. This mattress sags and is collapsing around the rims with normal use. We are senior citizens and expected our mattress. To be comfortable for myhusband who had back surgery. Thats why we want what we were promised with the purchased. I have reached out to your representative through Haynes Furniture as well as sending emails to your company for months with absolutely no response. We are now losing rest and sleep and will have to go forward and replace this mattress rather than suffer. It was misrepresented and consumer fraud with the lies of endurance and customer service. Very disappointing

Aireloom Mattress sagging and has a lump in the middle of mattress

We bought a brand new Aireloom king mattress September 1, 2016 and cost us around 2100.00. The mattress felt nice in the store (Mattress Discounter) however after several months it begin to get body impressions and start sagging on both sides of the bed, even through we rotated the mattress as stated in manual. There is now a lump in the middle of the bed between my wife and I. My wife has not had a good nigts sleep and wake up most mornings with back aches. She now has to sleep with several pillows in order to get comfortable. No one should have to experience anything like this especially when paying this kind of money. We would like to request a refund or unchange for another mattress.

Aireloom Quality of product

We purchased an Aireloom mattress and after 3 years it was so uncomfortable that we had to replace it. We contacted the store where we purchased the mattress and we were informed that it was within the parameters set by Aireloom- sagging less than 1.5 inches without any weight on the mattress. Unfortunately, mattresses are intended to be slept on and when you laid down on this mattress the angle was so steep you almost rolled off. This issue is not described by Aireloom as sagging, but instead as a “body depression” and “body depressions” are not covered by their warranty. The issue is not whether you describe the mattress as sagging or suffering from a “body impression”. The issue is whether the mattress is comfortable or not-it is that simple! If after 3 year the mattress has degraded to the point that a “body depression”, as Aireloom choses to describe the issue, has formed and it no longer provides a comfortable night sleep then the mattress in unacceptable and must be replaced-full stop! I replaced it, not through a warranty claim, but with hard earned money and NOT with another Aireloom product. I learned my lesson the expensive way. It appears there are lots of satisfied customers out there, but based on the feedback I have read there are quite a few customers whose mattresses also suffered from a “body depression”. Of course what you do is up to you, BUT “buyer beware” and if you do buy this product I wish you better luck than I had.

7/8/2022 Wish I had read these reviews before clunking down my $5,000 for a Fiji Ultra Firm King. See my complaint under manufacturer, E.S. Klufts & Co. Also filed BBB complaint 7/5/2022. Received usual canned response from Mattress Warehouse, need 1.5" depression, blah, blah. Then when I didn't accept that response, received another snarky response, that if Aireloom wants to go against their warranty, they would be happy to comply! What a thing to say, in writing! Then called Christine back at 'Kluft' to let her know Mattress Warehouse was awaiting their decision, she was rude & said that was a mistake & that they had no intention of exchanging anything & that that was the end of the conversation! What? You steal $5,000 from me for a matress that's useless after 1.5 years & you don't think I'm not going to yell & scream about it! Shame on these folks! I no longer want an exchange, I want a refund! These folks are not reputable. Run, run far away from them!

Aireloom Failure to honor warranty

I purchased an Aireloom Mattress. The store that I bought it from no longer carries Aireloom. The inspector from the independent inspection company determined that the mattress failed. Originally, Linda Menzel from Aireloom wanted me to spend about $1420 to ship the mattress to California from New Jersey and back. When I pointed out that they had a plant in PA, Ms. Menzel stated that it would cost $620 to ship the mattress to and from PA.

When I accepted their offer to ship the mattress to PA, Aireloom wanted me to sign an agreement not to disparage as well as waive any future legal rights. After questioning Ms. Menzel, she stated that even if the mattress were defective when it was returned to me, I could not sue Aireloom. By adding the requirement of not to disparage and to waive all future rights, they violated the terms of their warranty and thus defrauded me.

In my opinion, Aireloom is a terrible company to deal with because they do not honor their warranty. If they did this to me, do you think they will treat you any differently?

Aireloom isl building a bad reputation. Just purchase an Airleloom mattress and reported a problem just after delivery. I recommend to avoid Aireloom mattresses as the build quality is not up to par for a high priced mattress.
Very expensive mistake.

SOUNDS LIKE YOU SHOULD KEEP AT THEM, EACH TIME ASKING TO SPEAK TO SOMEONE HIGHER IN AUTHORITY. EVENTUALLY THEM MAY SUGGEST SOME COMPROMISE JUST TO GET RID OF YOU! YOU HAVE TO ASK YOURSELF "IS IT REALLY WORTH ALL THE EFFORT". MAYBE POINT OUT TO THEM THAT THEY ARE BUILDING UP A BAD REPUTATION ON COMPLAINTS BOARD?. IT WOULD BE NICE IF SOMEONE COULD WRITE A GOOD REPORT ABOUT THEM! THAT COULD BE YOU !

Aireloom Sagging mattress

I have had three CalKing beds from this company, two Airelooms and one Kluft. The Aireloom that I bought for about 3K in 2004 is wonderful, the best bed I've ever had. Still is. I bought another Aireloom in 2007 and it sagged and was deemed defective by Aireloom, so we took the credit and upgraded to a Kluft. The Kluft was a very unfortnate experience. It began sag after only a few years into use on a 20 year warranty. There is a visible and detectable rise in the middle of the bed. You can't sleep on it, you can't put weights on it to diminish it, you can't get rid of it no matter what. Aireloom then sent a measurer to measure the second Aireloom bed. On the measurement report, I saw one of the depressions listed as 1 3/8" which is 1/4" less than the depression depth requirement of 1 and 1/2" that is needed to meet warranty replacement standards. Of course, when I later received a call from Aireloom, the deepest number wasn't the same, according to Aireloom customer service. "Oh, no, the report says 1 and 1/8." I protested, but Aireloom customer service insisted I was mistaken about what was on the report. Aireloom then said that they would send me a copy of the measurement report, but guess what! a fewa days later... "Woops...!" Now the measurement company has lost the official report that was made at my house, and none of the paperwork is available. INTERESTING! So, Aireloom sent another measurer, new measuring company, and low and behold, on the second report, the deepest measurement was 7/8", so guess what! "No warranty issue here!" Of course, it's obvious what game is being played here, and it's simply a company that doesn't want to uphold their warranty. Don't ever buy an Aireloom or a Kluft, no matter how rich you are feeling. The quality of bed that they used to offer is no longer available, and the company goes to great lengths to escape their warranty responsibilities.

Aireloom Customer Service, bad communication and poor warranty

I absolutely dislike Aireloom, after spending $3000+ on a King mattress, you would expect it to be more durable and better put together than the $200 twin mattress my daughter sleeps on. Also sad to learn that their warranty does NOT cover poor stitching that caused the rips along the bottom / side of mattress. After two years of use, we now have a Sealy, which we should have purchased then. They should spend time training resellers what is covered under the warranty as we were told, since the mattresses are hand made, stitching would be covered under the manufacturer warranty; well, it wasn't and ended up spending $2000 for a new Sealy mattress and $10 haul away for this 2 year piece of s***! I think Retailers are offered a bigger commission if they push Aireloom. I will never buy or recommend Aireloom (Kluft) to anyone!

I have purchased an Aireloom Mattress at Mattress City in Pasadena, CA in October2010. Ever since purchasing I have had problems with it, tried returning it at the dealer but they are just too busy to deceive customers and do not want to take responsiblity. They asked me to approach the manufacturer as it was a defective mattress. The manufacturer...
