Operations Manager Marcia D Newman works in Manhattan branch 229 west 36th street 12th floor has the worst Managing skills I've ever witnessed in my life, she is very unprofessional, Manager Never returns calls, emails, or text from employees. You are lucky if you can get a call from Ms Newman to fix a problem, Ms Newman makes employees work back to back shifts, with out calling or informing them that they need to pull a double, and when you call Ms Newman to let her know that you are stuck at work, her phone is turned off and goes straight to voicemail, she will only teach you in the morning to tell you she wasn't aware, or that she doesn't know who's on the schedule or who's suppose to come in . How Ms Newman doesn't know who's on the schedule or who is suppose to come in for their shift is a great example of how not well she does her job. you can't even reach her at the Allied Assurance Center, Ms Newman also Messes up on employees pay either your missing hours, or you didn't get payed for a double or time worked. Manager Newman is not consistent with checking in with employees at Department of Transportation sites she never shows up at all, Ms Newman has no communication skills with her employees, she only reaches out when she needs something but never when you need her, Ms Newman is a Manager to 24 hour shift sites, and tells employees through text that she can only be reached from 9am-5pm and that all call should go to supervisor Krystle Rivera . Poor managing and poor work ethics . Ms Newman is never there when you need her and does not care about employees and there well being she only cares about her self
An investigation should be done on Marcia D Newman she should be fired .
How this person is still employed i have no clue. Manager MARCIA D NEWMAN is lazy and horrible at her job, good luck trying to get a hold of her, good luck on getting help when you need it, Manager never picks up phone doesn't care about problems that guards face at assigned sites, Marcia doesn't like to be bothered after hours but yet she Managers 24 hr sites . Lack of communication with workers, doesn't care if you get stuck at work with no bathroom no lights, only calls when she wants you to work at a site that's all, worst Managing skills ever no Managing Skills at all get rid of this woman and save the companies money for a better Manager that will actually care about their workers !

4/9/19 will be my yearly anniversary as an armed guard for U.S Security at Oak Hill apartment complex. My vacation for 4/24-4/27/19 has already been approved by the branch and my supervisor. My purchases for hotel, flight and rental vehicle has already been arranged for my vacation and anniversary with my wife to Florida.
This will probably be my third and final complaint made by me pertaining to the corrupt ethical practices and poor management that is established at this specific branch and site. I am in fear of being terminated before my yearly anniversary reimbursement. My job is in jeopardy. To withhold and secure my vacation pay I must place all complaints aside until I return from vacation, in which I did and have now returned.
On 2/25/19 early morning I was contacted by phone by my supervisor Lori Stromberg. I was told there was a mandatory meeting the following morning at the branch in which all armed guards must attend at 9am. Mind you this was my day off, and plans were already made. Supervisor Stromberg then changed the time to 2pm. Upon arrival, I discovered that only three out of eight armed guards were involved in the meeting, and not ALL. Edwards Sanders, Chris Russell, and I. We were all questioned separately for about 30 minutes each.
It turns out that a building captain complained about a specific unauthorized vehicle that was parked in the parking lot at the time of our shift for two days straight without ticketing. This building captain contacted the regional manager whom contacted the branch manager whom then created this meeting we attended according to security management.
Not only was I questioned about why this vehicle was not ticketed, I was told I was pretty much an incapable worker, and that I wasn't doing my job well. I was confused by these statements considering my site rank being number 2 and 6th of 361 in the branch leaderboard with no call off's and perfect attendance. Just this month there were 94 tickets that were written in which 40 of them were written by me. The proof was in the pudding. My job performance was excellent. There are guards that have never written a ticket but still I was an insufficient worker that needs to do his job well. The statistics versus what management were insinuating was not accurate, and honestly didn't make sense. I felt that there was more to this meeting.
After 10 minutes of questioning, I realize this meeting wasn't fully about ticketing or my work performance as I thought. This meeting was retaliation for my second complaint made to human resource this year about my direct supervisor and the branch for breaking business ethical laws. This meeting was a scare tactic and attempt to intimidate me to put a stop to my complaints. In two weeks, U.S security will be acquired by Allied Universal. The image of the branch was in jeopardy because of my complaints to human resource. For the branch to seem professional and free of problems, I must be put in place and gagged.
Through out this meeting I was sculled and threatened. I was told by Gina Krstonich that I broke the chain of command by going to human resources after bringing the complaint to her and that my next step was to contact Mr. Lonnie Sutton before human resource. I was also told by branch manager Lonnie Sutton that quote "I am trying to get more money out of Allied Universal. Your name is coming up too much, I don't want to hear your name pop up again. This is your last chance."
I am appalled by this management group that is running this branch for US Security soon to be Allied Universal. It's a shame when your leaders whom are to be trusted are in cahoots with each other to clean up their filthy image to appear fair and professional at all cost for a couple of bucks. The lies, the deceit, racism, favoritism, and the unlawful practices this specific branch practices are evil and corrupt. Threatening to terminate employees for reporting serious issues to HR is against the law. Writing up employees three weeks after the fact with no notice of wrongdoing is unethical. Creating false accusations and reports to pile up write ups in hopes of obtaining enough paperwork to terminate honest hardworking workers goes against BASIC business ethics. Allowing supervisors to make remarks to employees such as "retarded", "no one likes you" "you don't do anything right", "you smell and you need to take a shower", "foolish and a [censored] up", is brutally rude and disrespectful.
No management should be able to get away with treating their employees in this inhumane manner. This branch has no respect for the soles of their workers. To them we are just cattle of herds that fatten their pockets. Taking the initiative to bring up serious matters to your supervisors, and managers are brushed under the rug, and looked down upon. Attempts to amend or to make improvements for the company are dismissed and cast away. Having an employee that actually cares about their job and desires improvements are looked upon as a nuisance.
On 3/30/19 at 14:21 I received a photo image on my phone from a co worker Chris Russell. The image was Ed Sanders playing with his friends gun in public by the security office in broad daylight and on the clock in uniform. I immediately sent the photo to my branch manager (Gina Krstonich) whom then contacted Chris Russell to verify. Mrs Krstonich waited almost two weeks until addressing the matter with Mr. Sanders on 4/21/19. These senseless acts by our guards and Management are totally careless and endangering the company. With all the cameras, and windows on this property, it takes one person to see and report our fellow employee and his friend playing and pointing guns at buildings. Mind you this is Mr. Sanders 2nd offense involving guns. The first offense was bringing an automatic gun to show off during work. (Pictures are available as proof) This behavior is very unprofessional.
It's very clear that the people running this branch are all out for themselves. When you are a hard worker, wise, intelligent, vigilant, caring, and honest, you are looked down upon and projected as a pain in the [censored] and a threat. Freedom of speech, the United States 1st amendment does not apply to this branch. Speaking your mind does not exist here. Changes must be made. A new system, and or leaders must be emplaced, or I promise you this site and branch will suffer serious consequences. These are not threats being made, they are facts.
On Friday 4/26/19 at 10.39 while on my vacation in Florida, I received a voicemail from Lori Stromberg to have me contact Gina Krstonich. I text Lori why is Gina asking you to ask me to call her when she clearly has my number as a branch manager. It was obvious the branch was back to their deceitful tricks. At 11:22am Lori once again calls me stating that I was banned from property until Monday to speak to her even though I was scheduled to work Saturday and Sunday. She then explained that the client was dismayed because of a snap shot of a deceased woman which I included in an incident report I made on 4/8/19. Mind you the woman is laying outside of the building, not inside her unit as instructed by the security rules emplace. Verbal protocols pertaining to medicals given by Mrs. Stromberg only states to NOT take photos of EMS transfers or in the unit of the tenant. Permission from tenants to use security cameras must be given before use.
Both my partner and I had our video recording activated during the whole incident. The next day Mrs. Stromberg contacted me stating that she deleted just the deceased image, and for me to also delete it from my phone in case the family member somehow retaliates. I mentioned to her that I cut and pasted everything from each phone (my phone and the site phone) straight to the incident report so all images are ONLY on the report that's posted. A day or two later, while working on daylight with Ed Sanders, I ran into the daughter of the deceased to give condolences to her loss and to assure her all images of her mother were deleted in the incident report. She thanked me nicely. Officer Sander can testify.
Incident reports are reviewed and approved by the supervisor. Any damaging "pictures" and or imperfections including grammar are deleted or corrected by Mrs. Stromberg before sending it to the client for viewing. If these reports made by the deceased family are accurate and truthful, then the supervisor should be punished. No training, or protocols were instructed on proper ways to handle incident reports and death were instructed by my supervisor. Again, this was my second death this year at Oak Hill Property. The first death was handled the exact way as the current death with no complaints by my supervisor. If any mishandling or incorrect protocols were initiated by me, it is my supervisor's responsibility to correct, explain and or punish me for the act and not to stay silent.
Back to the matter at hand, I asked Mrs. Stromberg if I should bring my office keys to our meeting Monday which she replied yes. I then text her that I will include my uniform as well. At 11:26, Mrs. Stromberg called back stating that I was not terminated but moved to a new site. I mentioned to her that I was hired for Oak Hill Property and sending me to a different site was something I agreed with. She then stated that the client didn't want me at Oak Hill etc etc. I ended the conversation stating that I needed everything written down and signed with details by Monday. I also asked her to have the regional manager himself contact me, which she obviously denied. To me this is termination because if I am not able to transfer to a different site, and not permitted to be at Oak Hill Property then I am pretty much forced to resign which was also unethical.
I am sure after this final complaint I will be terminated from my position as an armed guard from this company. There will be more employees like me in the future. If there are no resolution to the ethical violation of this branch then complaints will persist, with or without me.
On Monday 4/29/19 termination paperwork was given to me by Lonnie Sutton and Lori Stromberg. Uniforms and keys were returned to the site, and my belongings were removed and taken with me.

Asked him for information as he started to talk he smelled like alcohol and marijuana. Security Bryan Cater-Bullis at the Ocala Regional hospital has been using company equipment (golf cart) intended for assisting patients to the Emergency Room to stop and smoke cigarettes during his shift. On average I see him 5-7 times per day doing this while his post is unmanned. On top of that Ocala Regional is a no tobacco zone and he is smoking on company property as you can see, which send mixed messages to patients. He also engages staff in inappropriate conversation about personal matters and makes me feel very uncomfortable. If this is not addressed by Allied I will take care of it as the CEO and VP of operations are in my office every day. Scott Bentley the security manager has repeatedly seen Bryan smoking in an unauthorized area during his shift soo many times I would need a calculator. This is not the type of behavior I was expecting from security and again it will either be handled by you or the CEO of the hospital.

Hello my name is Diamond Thomas. I was working with US Association security in February and in that same month our company switched to Allied. My supervisor has not giving me a full time position. They did not pay overtime. I did 16 hours shift they cut my check in half and did not give me overtime. I'm still getting 3 days out the week. Something need to be done. I recently was let go from the Kia Plant in West Point, GA because I was accused of falling asleep on the job. I was not asleep. When that happens they suppose to take a picture. I was not shown a picture or anything. The Lieutenant on that shift called mine. I didn't have a meeting or anything. So now i am banned from that site which is the highest paid site there. I was reduced to being offered making two dollars less an hour to drive further away. I feel like i should have at least plead my case in the whole scenerio before all that happened. The Sergeant on second shift on the back side of the site chews tobacco while on duty and no one says anything to him. The Assistant Chief, The Lieutenant on first shift, and the Sergeant on the front side of Kia on the first shift all do nothing but ride around speeding in the company car. I was sick in the Winter months. My excuses were approved by my Lieutenant but yet i was still written up. The Assistant Chief told people not to write a statement on the first shift front rover which is the Sergeant. He was caught stealing time but was saved from getting fired by the Assistant Chief. I use to work at this site about six years ago and i worked at every post there but yet i wasn't given the opportunity to retrain there after asking for months but others who come in after me get more opportunities. I use to work there with my wife which was my fiancee at the time. The manager and the receptionist knew of our relationship. After six months of working there we got married and told them. Two days later we were both moved from our post to "avoid potential problems". There has never been one incident involving my wife and I. We were at the same post but different shifts. There were two sisters, many best friends, and roommates there who were on the same posts and/or same shift but was never moved. I find it unfair that this and many other things are going on and there are a lot of people who have been let go unfairly and people who are there who can vouch for what i am saying.

Our account manager is the most unprofessional manager i've ever worked for, he doesn't acknowedge any of us employees (but sure does when we commit any mistake, no matter how small), he holds "Mandatory AlliedUniversal" meetings, but theres never any HR representatives around, which then causes a clear conflict of interest, his reason for not allowing us to get a better/higher pay is because there's a few rotten apples that come in late or call out often and he said "we're lenient with you guys, just be lucky to have a job" as if someone else being irresponsible, even though I am, warrants me not having a better way of living, one where I make an actual decent salary for what we do which is secure one
the supervisor never protect us
We the guard are requesting a full review of the way the onsite supervisor are playing favoritism with some and being rude to the others. The district manager came on site a few months ago but dint stop to speak to the guards to see the positive or negative of the problem that we have on a daily work day
If everything are working well. Why there are guard resigning voluntarily and the supervisor announcing they got terminated. Why so many guard are being terminated and walking out of post if everything are working great. Why the guard dint wants to take a supervisor position for example the lieutenant position that have being open for months but no one want

We the security officer are complaining of the lack of training and professional of our supervisor on side. The onsite supervisor are friendly with some guard and discus private and confidential company matter with guards. The onsite supervisor announce to other private information. when a officer call out. by telling other officer the reason of the absent of the call out guard and by publicly announce the reason of an officer getting a written. We believe that this act is a humiliation to the guard. When this publicly written in front of other co-workers happens that written should be automatically be dismiss for not following proper procedures of private matter. There are no reason why co-workers should know the life and private matter of their fellow worker
If the office requests the human resource phone number and the address to request or complaint about a supervisor mad attitude. The only thing the officer get are retaliation and let go of the company. A female security officer have a confrontation with the Director and request to speak with the human resource and that same day she get terminated.
We will like to request a full review of this matter or a complaint will be file at the labor dept.

not following proper procedures on private matter. There are no reason why The west palm beach Human resource Department should discuss The name and the complaint a employee give in private to the site management of any of the Allied Universal contract location cause according the the regulation are a private matter . The west palm beach Human resource are famous for not keeping in private the concern and confidential of there employee . always getting on the site management and cause of this action the security Guard get retaliation without doing anything to protect there good employees Can the C.E O of Allied Universal send a professional group of staff to investigated this complaint

Our account manager is the most unprofessional manager i've ever worked for who only cares to hire his Marine buddies for upper positions which is the ultimate bias hiring, he doesn't acknowedge any of us employees (but sure does when we commit any mistake, no matter how small), he holds "Mandatory AlliedUniversal" meetings, but theres never any HR representatives around, which then causes a clear conflict of interest, his reason for not allowing us to get a better/higher pay is because there's a few rotten apples that come in late or call out often and he said "we're lenient with you guys, just be lucky to have a job" as if someone else being irresponsible, even though I am, warrants me not having a better way of living, one where I make an actual decent salary for what we do which is secure one of the biggest and iconic NY corporate buildings, somewhere thats viewed as a hotspot for possible crime or terrorist activity, Rockefeller Center. We recently got a raise because the NY state minimum went up to $15/HR, and the account manager (Israel Crespo) recently stated that we dont "need" anymore of a raise because we already got one, as if the NY state minimum wage going up was his working and not something that we legally were already entitled to. We are securing a high target building, working long hours, having to abide by corporate rules, while someone in Mcdonalds is making the same as us while eating for free and none of the sensitive responsiblities we have as guards. I believe any mamager position should be filled with a leader, not someone who takes care of logisitics and has no interpersonal / leadership skills. How is our morale supposed to be high, how are we to execute a game plan to secure our operation, when the highest AlliedUniversal employee here doesn't care about his guards, or even respecting us?
unprofessionalism
I was leaving work on 1/12/19 and security officer karla bramlett was very rude and obnoxious. She stated "she don't give a [censored] what we do" I think that is unethical as a security officer and that kind of behavior should not be allowed in the work place. If this issue don't get resolved than I will have to go to higher authority. Where do this company find these kind of people at?
poor management/ unfair treatment
I am writing this complaint for a couple of reasons, the management in this place is unproffessional I am a security officer working under a contract for Freeport-Mcmoran at the chino mine in Vanadium, New Mexico at the time when I was let go the manager Victor Romero did not do the termination face to face instead he sent me a text message saying I was being let go, a co-worker of mine was a rover and was taken off and put at a gate when he had his first minor wreck with a company vehicle it was his first time wrecking while other rovers who had wrecked the trucks multiple times and caused greater damage to the trucks are still rovers, one employee totalled a truck to this day he is still a rover...how is that fair to the other employee? I believe this individual is being singled out for reasons unknown the job is not bad but the management needs serious changing there is lack of communication on the part of the management, when they removed this employee from being a rover they did not notify this individual he found out because of his co- workers the day before he came back for his rotation he got a text message from Victor stating that he was to report to the mine gate to do traffic at the end of his shift he got another text saying he was to report to the mine gate to do traffic again the next day and two days later then informed him he was being put back on traffic because of his incident with the company vehicle. At the moment this location is on overtime and nobody knows when they work because of lack of communication by management. The management also shows extreme favoritism to individual employees that they like they let them get away with anything, one employee could not make an overtime scheduled day and was written up for it where as another employee that is a favorite called in her entire rotation without a valid excuse and was not reprimanded or punished at all! These are my concerns with this site and the management and hope there can and will be actions taken to better this situation and concerns.
scheduling and work/life balance
Since the acquisition of the Steelwave account here in Thousand Oaks, CA in late November 2018, the Oxnard, CA branch of Allied Universal has repeatedly scheduled officers to work mandatory 6-day work weeks, as well as mandatory overtime if someone doesn't show up for duty. This is being done on an ongoing basis, and there is no work or life balance.
The managers in the Oxnard, CA branch never even inquired as to how much of an inconvenience or hardship this might pose to some officers...they just arbitrarily push us too hard, thus compromising our ability to be productive.
