AlterNet Disappointing Experience with AlterNet

As someone who values diverse perspectives and reliable information, my experience with AlterNet left much to be desired. The content on the site appeared to be heavily biased and lacking in factual accuracy. It was disheartening to see articles that seemed more focused on promoting a particular agenda rather than providing balanced reporting. Additionally, the community engagement seemed to be filled with hostility and intolerance towards differing opinions. Overall, my interaction with AlterNet left me feeling disillusioned and seeking a more trustworthy source of news and information.

AlterNet AlterNet: Prioritizing DNC Talking Points Over Genuine Discourse

I got banned from AlterNet 'cause I spoke out against war. Seems like AlterNet don't give a damn 'bout what's good for us humans anymore. All they care 'bout is shovin' them DNC talkin' points down our throats, no matter if they're real or not. If you can't stand conservatives, can't stand progressives, but ya love them corporate donors, then boy, you gonna be head over heels for the new AlterNet.

AlterNet AlterNet: Closed-minded and Toxic - A Disappointing Experience

I stumbled upon this site called AlterNet by accident, and boy, was I in for a surprise! Let me tell you, this place is just awful when it comes to being fair and open-minded. They can't handle a different point of view, even if it's presented politely. And don't even get me started on the people who comment regularly. They're downright nasty and mean, to the point where you can't even take them seriously. I ain't gonna waste my precious time on such a low-class site. It's like they think their way is the only way. No thanks!

AlterNet Disappointing and Intolerant: A Frustrating Experience on this Website

I couldn't find anywhere to leave comments on the articles. The opinions they express are just plain garbage, like saying "all white folks are white supremacists" or claiming that being fiscally conservative and socially liberal means we can't enjoy good things. It's really frustrating to come across such narrow-minded and intolerant nonsense that doesn't even allow for any meaningful conversation. Honestly, I can't in good conscience suggest wasting your precious time on this website.

AlterNet Review: AlterNet - A Platform for Alternative Perspectives and Critical Analysis

AlterNet is a website that offers a plethora of articles that heavily criticize Trump and actively promote protests, sometimes even advocating for violent actions during town halls and rallies. The constant comparison of Trump to Hitler is a recurring theme that becomes tiresome after a while. It feels like they beat the same drum over and over again, ad nauseum.

One of the most frustrating aspects of AlterNet is the bigotry displayed by some of the commenters. Many of them seem to harbor a strong dislike towards Christians and hold anti-Semitic views. It's disheartening to witness such prejudice and discrimination in the comment section. Among these commenters, there are a few individuals who stand out as particularly unhinged, like ScaryMary and HeilMary. It's possible that they are one and the same person, as they both viciously attack Catholics. As someone who is not Catholic, I fail to see the purpose of attacking someone based on their religious beliefs or lack thereof.

Furthermore, AlterNet allows a significant amount of profanity in the comments section. It seems that haters thrive in this environment, reveling in their ability to spread negativity and animosity. It's unfortunate that the platform doesn't enforce stricter guidelines regarding language and respectful discourse.

Despite these shortcomings, AlterNet does provide a platform for alternative perspectives and voices that challenge the status quo. It can be a valuable resource for those seeking different viewpoints and critical analysis of current events. However, it's important to approach the content with a critical eye and be aware of the biases and limitations that may be present.

In conclusion, AlterNet offers a wide range of articles that heavily criticize Trump and encourage protests, sometimes even advocating for violence. The constant comparison to Hitler becomes repetitive, and the comment section is plagued by bigotry and profanity. However, the website does provide a platform for alternative perspectives, making it a valuable resource for those seeking diverse viewpoints.

AlterNet Biased and Ignorant: A Disappointing Publication Ignoring Russian Collusion and Promoting Division

This website just can't seem to connect the dots of what's happening. They don't believe the Russia thing is real, they criticize the DNC and keep causing division on the left. I have to wonder if some libertarian is in control of it. There's a lot of evidence of Russian collusion, but they insist there's nothing there. However, they make a big deal out of a frivolous lawsuit that Sanders is bringing because he doesn't agree with their rules. He's the one who mistreated the DNC and the party by acting foolishly during the primary. Yet, the people on this site still believe WikiLeaks is 100% reliable, which shows they're ignorant because it's been proven that WikiLeaks will release anything, regardless of its truthfulness, falsehood, or propaganda. They ignore the obvious Russian connections and call it a hoax. It's just a sad, pathetic publication.

AlterNet Disappointing Censorship and Bias: AlterNet's Decline Under New Leadership

So, like, I've been posting on this website called AlterNet for, like, years, and guess what? They went ahead and banned me! Can you believe it? And you know why? Just because I disagreed with those author dudes and their lefty agenda.

I gotta tell ya, ever since this guy named John Byrne took over AlterNet, things have gone downhill. It used to be all about antiwar and lefty stuff, but now it's just full of pro-Dem propaganda. They're always attacking Republicans from the right, just like the DNC does these days.

And you know what's even worse? They've got these moderators or censors or whatever you wanna call 'em, and they're using this thing called Shadow Ban. It's like they ban all the lefty commentators, but from the commentator's point of view, it looks like their post is still visible. But guess what? It's not! If you open a private window, you'll see that nobody can see your post. It's like they're hiding it or something.

This kind of censorship is just plain wrong, man. It's like the lowest of the low. And you know what? It's exactly what you'd expect when a website that used to be all antiwar and left-leaning sells out to the Democratic wing of the War Party. It's a real shame, dude.

AlterNet AlterNet: A Far-Left Echo Chamber with Zero Coverage of President Biden and Poor Editorial Standards

What kinda left-leanin' news website reports on precisely zero articles 'bout the current POTUS Joe Biden? Everythin' on this website is 'bout ex-President Donald Trump or someone in the Republican Party and then hyperbolizin' whatever is bein' said into an end-of-America scenario, typically illustrated with a mix of weird editin' choices and bad grammar to match. Even Fox News has somethin' resemblin' a grasp on reality: Alternet makes Breitbart look like NPR in regards to overall writin' standards and self-awareness, and that is pretty disturbin'.

The worst part, however, is the general userbase givin' commentary. Any comment that discusses factual information or commentary that may be at odds with said-article is spammed and downvoted by fake bot accounts and Disqus sock-puppets. It is one of the most poorly moderated echo-chambers I've ever seen, and that's sayin' a lot in 2022.

Most news sites have their fair share of problems, but Alternet is a particular egregious example of what happens when you drink the far-left Koolaid a little too often and exercise zero editorial standards. Avoid like the plague.

Now, lemme tell ya, AlterNet, or alternet.org, is somethin' else. I mean, seriously, what's up with their reportin'? They claim to be a left-leanin' news website, but they don't even have a single article 'bout the current POTUS Joe Biden. Can ya believe that? Instead, they're all about ex-President Donald Trump and the Republican Party. It's like they can't get enough of 'em. And let me tell ya, they take everythin' they say 'bout 'em and blow it way outta proportion. It's like they're tryin' to make it seem like the end of America is near or somethin'. And don't even get me started on their editin' choices and bad grammar. It's like they don't even care 'bout writin' properly.

But ya know what's even worse? The people who comment on their articles. It's like they're livin' in their own little world. Any comment that goes against what the article says gets spammed and downvoted by these fake bot accounts and Disqus sock-puppets. It's like they can't handle anythin' that doesn't fit their narrative. It's one of the worst echo-chambers I've ever seen, and believe me, I've seen a lot.

Now, I get it, most news sites have their problems. But AlterNet takes it to a whole new level. It's like they've drunk the far-left Koolaid one too many times. They have zero editorial standards, and it shows. I'd steer clear of this site if I were you. It's like the plague, ya wanna avoid it at all costs.

AlterNet Disappointing and Divisive: My Experience with Alternet.org's Comment Section

I first heard about alternet.org from Robert Reich, a man I greatly respect. Gotta say, I wasn't too impressed with it. Don't expect to find any rational discussions there, let me tell ya. There's a clear bias, and it's just downright depressing how people attack each other in the comment section. Most of the subscribers seem to be Caucasians who act like they're the champions of the liberal world, as if being tolerant is some sort of competition. It kinda reminded me of the Daily Beast, but without all the flashy stuff. And let me tell ya, the web design is just plain awful, to be honest.

So, I decided to comment on a post about Bill Maher being an Islamophobe. And what do you know? I was immediately labeled as a right-winger and a bag of crap for trying to defend him. I mean, seriously? Not even five minutes after I posted, one of the regular commenters, who had like 4 thousand upvotes, just went off on me and started attacking my personal character. And to top it off, someone flagged my comment as spam, and it's been almost 12 hours and it's still under review. Can you believe that? It's just ridiculous, man.

I actually enjoy writing and debating with people, but this experience left a really bad taste in my mouth. I think I'm gonna take a break for a while. You don't have to attack people to make your point, whether you're a Democrat or a Republican. Personally, I lean more towards the left when it comes to issues of equality and civil liberties, and I'm constantly disappointed by the people who represent the Republican party. I even expressed my disdain for Trump, but I still got labeled as an intolerant right-winger. Can you believe that? It's just frustrating, man.

AlterNet AlterNet: A Breeding Ground for Intolerance and Censorship

Amanda Macrotte, a writer for AlterNet, has a collection of articles that can be found on their website. If you take a gander at the link below, you'll see the hate pouring out from the page, and that gives you a good sense of the website's overall tone.

Check out this cool bunch of comments too, found at the link below:

http://www.alternet.org/comments/belief/why-are-so-many-christians-so-un-christian#disqus_thread

And take note of the ones that have been deleted. Those are mine. You might be wondering why they were removed. Well, I have no clue. They didn't bother to give me any warning or indication that I did something wrong. If you waste your precious time reading the responses to my posts, you'll witness the anger and see that their comments are still there, despite their own intolerance and hatred. It's strange, considering that the article itself was all about those very things.

A website that only allows those who agree with them to have a voice is a breeding ground for animosity towards those who don't share the same views. And let me tell you, that's a problem. When you create an "us vs them" mentality, even on a website, you become the reason why certain groups attack others based on their thoughts.

Every website has the right to establish their own rules for moderation. One would assume that these rules would apply to everyone, not just a select group, while others get to do and say whatever they please.

This website reminds me of Current.com, and we all know what happened to Current. It went belly up. And it seems like AlterNet is heading down the same path.

If you happen to waste time reading the responses to what I posted you'll see how angry are and that their posts still are there despite their intolerance and hatred. Which is weird considering that's what the hit piece article was about.

A website that only wants those that agree with them to post is a website that fosters hatred for those that don't think like them and that... that's a problem. When you create a us vs them mentality even on a website you're the reason why there are groups of people who attack others for the way they think.

Each website has a right to dictate how they'll moderate their website. One would think the moderation rules would be for everyone not for a specific group while another group gets to do and say whatever they want.

This website reminds me of Current.com and we all know what happened to Current. It failed. This one is headed down the same road.

This review is so obviously biased, I wonder that anyone can take it seriously.  I came here looking for honest evaluations.  Other reviewers managed to provide commentary without resorting to personal insults and blanket condemnation.  If there is never any real news in AlterNet, why is anyone (including this reviewer) reading it?

AlterNet Frustating User Experience: AlterNet's Ad-Cluttered Maze & Slow Loading Times

AlterNet, man, let me tell you, it's like a maze of ads and stuff. They got these Java scripts all over the place, making it a real pain to get around. AlterNet Debunking Seth Norrholm's Outrageous Claims: The Nonsense of 'CULT SYNDROME'

An article written by Seth Norrholm recently caused quite a stir among Americans, with over 81,000,000 people feeling offended and labeled as "Deplorable." In this piece, Norrholm boldly claims that we all suffer from what he calls "CULT SYNDROME." Now, let me tell you, this arrogant individual has the audacity to pen such nonsense and attempt to back up his outrageous ideas with what he calls "psuedoscience" clap-trap!

I mean, seriously, who does this guy think he is? Writing such rubbish and expecting us to believe it? It's downright infuriating! Norrholm must be living in some kind of alternate reality, where he thinks he can just throw around derogatory terms and make sweeping generalizations about millions of people. Well, let me tell you, Mr. Norrholm, your ideas are nothing but BAT-$#*! CRAZY!

And let's not forget about his so-called "psuedoscience" evidence. I mean, come on! Who needs real science when you can just make up your own, right? It's like he's playing a game of Mad Libs with scientific terms, throwing them together without any regard for actual research or evidence. It's laughable!

Now, I don't claim to be an expert, but it's clear to me that Norrholm's article is nothing more than a desperate attempt to grab attention and stir up controversy. It's a shame that some people actually take this kind of garbage seriously. We deserve better than this kind of drivel passing off as journalism.

In conclusion, Seth Norrholm's article on AlterNet is a prime example of the kind of nonsense that passes for news these days. It's insulting, it's baseless, and it's just plain wrong. We should not let ourselves be swayed by such ridiculous claims and instead focus on seeking out reliable sources of information. Let's not fall victim to this kind of bat-$#*! crazy thinking!

AlterNet Disappointing Depth and Sensationalism: A Review of AlterNet

When I first went on the AlterNet website, I noticed that my spyware alerted me about being tracked by six other sites. It was a bit concerning, to be honest. As I spent some time exploring the site, I couldn't help but feel that it had a rather negative vibe. It claims to strive for objectivity and rationality, but it often veers off into trashing and hating.

I was hoping to find some valuable insights and alternative viewpoints on various topics, but I must say, I was left disappointed. The content seemed to lack depth and substance, focusing more on sensationalism and stirring up emotions rather than presenting well-researched information. It's a shame because I believe that alternative perspectives can be incredibly valuable in fostering a more well-rounded understanding of the world.

Furthermore, the writing style on AlterNet was quite simplistic and lacked nuance. It felt like the articles were written for a younger audience, with basic punctuation and grammar errors scattered throughout. While I understand the desire to appeal to a wider readership, it would have been nice to see a more sophisticated approach to the content.

In terms of the layout and design of the website, it was fairly user-friendly. Navigating through different sections and articles was relatively easy, and the site had a clean and organized appearance. However, the constant bombardment of ads was a bit overwhelming and distracting. It felt like every click led to another pop-up or video ad, which made the overall browsing experience less enjoyable.

Overall, I wouldn't consider AlterNet as a reliable source for finding truths or alternative viewpoints. While it may have some interesting articles here and there, the overall tone and lack of depth make it difficult to take the content seriously. If you're looking for well-researched and balanced perspectives, I would suggest exploring other sources that prioritize accuracy and thoughtful analysis.
