Car Warranty
I purchased an extended warranty through the dealership where I purchased our 2007 Jaguar X Type with 46,000 mile in November 2022. I am totally dissatisfied with the policy and the amount of money I paid to purchase, $2,200.00. I paid "EXTRA" for electrical coverage only to find that the issue I currently have with the car, a fuse box replacement is not listed as a covered item. Equally, it's not listed as a "Not Covered Item" either.
In my conversation with the AGWS CSR Judy, she was absolutely NO help as she continued to tell me it's not listed as a covered item even though it's not listed as a NOT COVER ITEM.
I paid a lot of money for peace of mind when I purchased this car only to get totally screwed the first time I try and use it.
They have quite the scam going there.
Thanks for nothing and I am looking into my measures to cancel this POS Extended Warranty.
Desired outcome: Get my repairs paid for
Car warranty
I purchased a $3500.00 AGWS extended warranty for my 2013 Buick enclave it expires 7/27/2023 and its well under the 100,000 I paid for as well, the transmission started slipping yesterday and I sent them the last transservice paperwork they ask for and denied my claim from the transmission shop by saying that I didn't maintain the car correctly, all they asked for was the last trans service, I have plenty of required maintenance for the last 5 years that I'm going to have my attorney present to them thats blatant stealing do not use this company
Desired outcome: fix my car like I paid for
Incorrect charges for recurring issue
On March 23 I had a service tech come out to my camper. The teck came out for the following issues, 1. Electrical issues 2. Black tank issues 3. Fresh Water tank issues, 4. toilet seal issues
During this call it parts were ordered for 2,3, and 4. Parts arrived and all repairs were completed.
The Electrical issues began in December of 2022 when I noticed I had 12v lighting flashing throughout the camper. I checked the batteries and wiring to make sure all was intact and that no animal/rodents were present or had created any damage. I also tested both batteries and found one to be at 2V and the other at 8V. I purchased two new batteries expecting the issue to be resolved.
Again, the same issues were occurring where the lighting was flickering. At this point it is beyond my general knowledge and expertise and I reached out to a repair facility. I also included all the other issues I explained in paragraph 1. The Electrical issue could not be duplicated on the first visit. The tech removed connections to the relay to see if is was an issue but at this point it was a waiting game to see if the relay was causing the problem of the batteries not being charged. He also checked out the converter and all appeared to be just fine at that time. "Could Not Duplicate" Approx 30 days later the lights were flickering again. Therefore, the relay was not the issue. I checked the batteries, and they were dead... again. I was asked to check on the converter to see if I could hear it running. When listening for the fan, it was not. Therefore, the converter appears to be the electrical issue. The repair facility came out again for the same recurring issue and brought a converter. Upon Inspection he found the converter so hot that it could have caused a fire. He could not touch it. The converter was replaced June 9. Throughout this entire time of six months the converter actually failed a total of four times. Of which no one could duplicate. As it would restart on its own or after I threw the 50amp circuit breaker. The tech and I knew this was an ongoing issue that would not be easily resolved.
When the tech called AGWS he was told there would be a 100 deductible and have to charge a service call fee as this was a new claim. I am here to say this was NOT a new claim. It was an ongoing issue that was not resolved initially.
AGWS needs to treat this last call as part of the original service issues as I have stated. I also have all the tech notes and details from the initial call.
Desired outcome: I want the $100 deductible waived from AGWS and for AGWS to pay the service call fee to the tech and his shop. This is only right.

Motorhome exterior paint protection
Be warned this company and their products are a scam. They deny everything with no explanation. Paid 1800$ for their exterior paint protection package on a motorhome. The front cap is faded and they denied the claim. If a dealership offers this warranty to you, run away. I will be taking them to small claims court. They denied the claim within one days do to “roof runoff”.
Total scam.
Desired outcome: Honor the services I paid for.
Coverage of electrical issues with my trailer trailer
I just completed all of the information related to my dissatisfaction with the coverage for repairs to my travel trailer a few minutes ago in the review section.
I have the Platinum Travel Trailer policy. Currently I am in Tallahassee Florida (over 3000 miles from my home) . Last week we began having issues with the refrigerator check light and it would not switch from electrical operation to propane operation. In addition, the trailers interior light flickered from time to time.
We have a Mobile RV Technician analyze the issue and he called the needed repairs. Estimated repairs were about $1950. While discussing the issues, the insurance representative asked if this could have been caused by a power surge. He answered honestly, saying we had no idea what initially caused the issue. The insurance representative then said if that was the cause, repairs were not covered by my policy. We actually don't know that was the cause, but it could be many things.
I have decided not to do anything at the present time, but continue on our trip hoping that we don't have any more serious issues because we did nothing.
I have since spoke to my local home insurance agent and we also found it questionable that this issues were not covered by my AGWS policy. He recommends that I contact the Oregon Insurance Commissioner upon our return to Oregon and he will assist me in making that happen.
Desired outcome: Authorize the needed repairs.
$5000. Claim for turbo engine repair
As the old saying goes Buyer Beware!
Due to weather, covid and medical needs we had to pay for a new turbo and sensor on our Tiffin Phaeton and get on the road.
For those reasons we could not wait 48 hours for the AGWS inspector to come out and say yes or no. The computer codes showed numerous codes for mechanical
And electrical problems from the turbo.
Since we didn't follow every protocol or hoops as many other reviewers call them AGWS has refused to pay the $5000. claim.
There are reviews that show this company has done well for some policy holders. For me I wasted the huge premium for the policy and would have been much better off self insuring. So as I said BUYER BEWARE!
Not wanting to cover items under Warranty
Under items: 14 and 17 on their Warranty Agreement. They are refusing to cover items which are covered. They sent an adjuster out and they deemed the problem to be the same as our tech. However, they said they just don't want to cover it.
Desired outcome: Agreeing to cover the items
Warranty service
This company does not pay diagnostic fees, though you the customer are required to have the diagnosis done to diagnose the problem(s) needing repair. This company denies coverage for manufacturer defects when non-related maintenance [like an oil change at the suggested number of hours] isn't done - though no proof exists that the manufacturer defect can be directly related to routine maintenance. The bottom line is that this company provides policies that apparently they do not fully honor, and we found out too late it's a waste of money and they are NOT consumer-friendly. It is not recommended to purchase a policy with this company for any reason. Supervisor was rude. They do their job saving the company's money by not honoring claims. My family is on a low, fixed income as we are disabled and feel taken advantage of. Repairs will cost us $2000 that we just don't have. We have to ask our children for help now. WISH I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS!
2006 american tradition (rv) headlights not working
On 11/2/2019 my husband and I packed our RV to depart from a campsite in Tunic, MS. He started the unit then clicked the headlight switch to turn on the headlights. The lights would not come on. He checked the fuses and they were good. We stayed overnight and departed the next morning. On 11/4/2019, my husband took the unit to TAG Truck Center, he spoke with Mark Sampson and explained the problem. Mark's contact# 901-345-5633, direct# 901-344-0237, email address msampson@tagtruckcenter.com. Mark Sampson confirmed the problem is the headlight switch which the "SM210 Smart Wheel Control Module" which is connected to the headlight switch to turn the headlights on needs to be replaced. There is no other part connected to the headlights to turn them on and off but the SM210 Smart Wheel Control Module. (Headlight switch button + Smart Wheel Control Module + headlights). Our claim was declined(Agreement# AUM80967661)because of the part name by George. Mark at TAG Truck Center has tried explaining to George twice and can not get him to understand how the headlights function. There is no other part to control the headlights and the headlights (Electrical) are covered under the warranty. What else can a person say or do to get George or someone else to understand that is the headlight problem. RV lights will not come on due to the headlight switch (Plastic Switch) connection to the headlights needs replacing. This is not rocket science to see that we are not just talking about the plastic switch that you press to turn the headlights on, the headlight switch is listed under "Electrical" meaning the function of the headlights. Please give authorization to TAG Truck Center to repair the headlights. Please CC me on your response. Dennis & Sarah Williams, [protected]@gmail.com.
My husband is a Journey Mechanic and work on large trucks and know the schematics of the RV. He and George are shocked that this repair is being declined because the part name.
warranty claim
Purchased this warranty in good faith to have peace of mind that my $76K investment would be protected against breakage. I took my 2014Jayco Greyhawk purchased with 2, 348 miles to where I purchased it, All Seasons RV & Marine in Bend Or. The service department submitted my claim for a microwave falling off the wall, a broken exhaust strap for generator, rubber seal molding coming off the door, inside door molding pealing off, and molding on carpeted area coming off. Jeff informed me a few days later that AGWS rejected all claims. In an attempt to understand why AGWS did not honor my claims the agent there became aggravated with my questions and proceeded to quote all the exclusions form a very extensive list. He then hung up on me. Mike the manager a All Seasons to their benefit has agreed to split the total cost of repairs. This company has no concept of customer relations. Do not do business with these people if you are seeking peace of mind. PS - Warranty was sold under Compass RV Protection
We have reviewed the comments above posted by one of our customers. We appreciate the time taken to voice their concerns and we will kindly respond.
The customer purchased a "Mechanical Repair Agreement" for specific parts that could fail. The repairs listed above are not listed as being covered or coverable and that is what we conveyed. Body work, clamps, straps, adhesives, moldings are not included in the coverage. We are not affiliated with the manufacturer and can not speak on their behalf for work that may be covered under manufacturer's warranty.
Should the customer have repairs specifically listed in their contract as eligible for coverage, we would gladly evaluate these repairs.

Tire/Wheel Warranty
This company is a scam! All you do is get the run around and give you more hoops to jump through. A paid invoice from a the service center along with a copy of the check isn't enough proof to them that a bill was paid and they need to reimburse you. That will stand up in a court of law but not with AGWS. Basically called me a liar and told me to go to bank and get a copy of both sides of the check. Took three calls to even get a claim number to start the process. Then they wanted pictures. It never ends with these people. Went to bank as requested now waiting to see what their next excuse is. Process has been going on over a month now.
cheat out of claim
OHHHH, NOOOOOOO! I was without my car for 14 weeks, and got the rude, uncooperative, incompetent service advisors. Then, they gypped me out of a legitimate claim.
This is a company whose representatives argue and swear at you when you initiate a claim. A company that does not do what they promise. A company that is slow to respond. A company that hassles the mechanics. A company that does not pay a claim which they have authorized. A company thst takes weeks to send you a reimbursement, (short hundreds of dollars and without sn accounting.)
Without too much detail, for my first claim, they couldn't find my contract. The repair took 10 weeks; I did not rent a car. The mechanic complained about American Guardian. They sent a used part which failed in 525 miles. I paid for my own towing both times. A new repair shop took a month for the replacement repair. The mechanic complained that the company was only pying him for four hours of work, and he spent three hours n the telephone with them aline.
I called to authroize a car rentalthe second time, and the representative told me to deal with the supplier of part, as it was under warranty. When I insisted that was their job, not mine, the customer service rep said "Fu...ing unbelieveable" to me. I then called the sales agent for assistance.
I rented a car for 2 weeks and two days, getting prior "authorization by "the boss, " senior customer service rep.
The check they sent me was short two hundred dollars and five weeks late. No explanation of the deduction on the check.

Unauthorized charges
They send you to run down shops and do not pay for the mistakes they make. I have dealt with them numerous times and each time they always try to get out of paying for something. They constantly send you to the cheapest run down shops they can find because they do not want to pay labor costs. The shop charges me $180.00 for diagnostics and tell me I have an oil leak in one of my cylinders... Guardian wants them to do another test on the car before they choose to pay for anything that would cost me another $250 on top on the $180. I say no and call Guardian telling them I am not authorizing a test that you want and I have to pay for if it is not needed and is just for your personal satisfaction. So the man has me take it to a different shop. I told him I didn't want to go to the shop in the first place and I asked the lady if there was any other place I could take it and she said no. He told me if I had the name of the lady that told me this over in some other department he would pay me the $180 back. I gave him the name and he told me no one existed by that name there... what the hell? Why did you lie and say if you were going to do something and not do it... I take it to another shop, they tell me the real problem is my spark plugs and I need a new one. I call the old shop and tell them they lied, there was no oil found anywhere and I wanted my money back because they were liars and their diagnostics were wrong. They refused to give me my money back and it was an on going battle between the warranty company, me, and the first shop I went to. In the end, spark plugs weren't covered and I ended up paying for the whole thing out of pocket ($450) on top of the needless $180 dollars Guardian caused me to lose sending me to the whole in the wall poor excuse for an auto shop. DO NOT EVER LET A CAR DEALERSHIP WEASEL YOU INTO BUYING A WARRANTY!
Never got my money back...
