I booked 2 adult day passes to Banana Island in qatar for today. I didnt know at the time i was charged weekend rates. I only noticed when a waitress in Teds restaurant thought my voucher should have been 200 qar.
I didnt spend the remaining 300 qar voucher after realising the error. I contacted banana island to ask for a refund. I was informed that is against company policy. I was offered complementary bowling when i dont like bowling. The mistake was not made by me. I expect a refund for the difference. I am hugely disapointed at how this mistake has been handled. I would worry about booking again in the future as the mistake could happen again and i would be out of pocket. I specifically booked a week day to get a better rate. I would like to challenge the company policy where a mistake caused by the company is made. I did not spend the 300 qar voucher in fact i have spent less than 400 qar so again i am out of pocket from a voucher perspective too. It has put a dampner on my trip.
Claimed loss: I have been charged 300 qar more than i should have been
Desired outcome: To be refunded the 300 qar which is the difference between the weekend rate and weekend rate
