Postings blocked on aol news stories.
No reason for blockage given by aol. Which means somebody at aol is blocking all my posts
Desired outcome: Unblock
AOL Comments
Dear Sir's:
I am complaining about "ALL" of my comments being immediately removed upon posting. None of my comments are offensive or in violation of your rules or guidelines, and also never have been. " Why?" Possibly, you have me mistaken for someone else? An answer to this dilemma is very important to me. I and my family enjoy AOL and believe we have been significant and positive contributors.
Sincerely,
Benjamin H Novick

Desired outcome: Restoration of my ability to post comments.
Comments on news stories
I have been blocked from commenting on AOL news stories. I never threatened anyone and if the block is not removed and I am not allowed to comment I am going to contact the State Attorneys office and the BBB. this is a clear violation of my first amendment rights to free speech. Just because someone at AOL doesnt agree with me doesnt not give them the right to block me. You should resolve this now before it becomes front line news on many other media platforms.
All my comments has been rejected
Simple comments like, yes, Agrees, Maybe true...all been rejected.
Why?
I have been civil and fair in all my posts. Never name calling anyone or use derogatory words in my posts.
So, I am mystified why I am banned on ASLO from make the comments?
Desired outcome: I like to have this issue fixed asap
Aol "backgroundbrowser"
the AOL backgroundbrowser pops up an blocks work on AUTOCAD drawings whenever the cursor crosses a portion of the operating screen. The same problem occurs with other graphic apps and games.
Desired outcome: disable AOL "backgroundbrowser"
Password lost due to theft
I have been trying for over a year to reconnect, but II have been burglarized four times and any device I had to set up my account is on devices lost to theft. I have tried by phone and using the "Help" page, none of which has been any help. I am being prevented from accessing the likely thousands of emails because AOL does not offer solutions for unfortunate circumstances like my own.
My email, name, social security number, birth date or home address have not changed, but AOL does not recognize these values. they are more concerned with their power than the position they have helped to put me in. I intend to charge them for all the time I have wasted trying to explain my situation over the phone.
My unchanged email is [protected]@aol.com, but they refuse to understand that I cannot receive emails to help with my situation and will not allow me to set up another account because of the one existing.
Desired outcome: Call me at [protected] with a password to temporarily use.
Posting a comment to AOL News Stories
I have been blocked for a long time now when I try to post a comment on an AOL story and I don't know why. Never got a warning about any of my posts, never threatened anyone or use fowl language and yet every time I try to post it doesn't let the post got through. I have seen on a regular basis numerous people using fowl language or trying to incite arguments of name calling on post even on today's news stories yet when I comment and keep on the subject mine does not get posted..yet I have 61K next to my name. i called AOL support a couple of weeks ago. They had me go to a site and write to the staff who handles the posting section and he told me they would look at it and let me know what was wrong or k]just watch in a couple of days and I will be able to post again after they fix the problem. None of that has happened, so could someone PLEASE let me know why I can't post and if I will ever be able to post again? Even Twitter warns you before they remove you from posting..AOL. NOT so.
Desired outcome: Email answer or fix the problem
AOL is the model of internet censorship. They do this is several ways: 1) do not allow some critical comments 2) do not allow anyone to start posts on some topics 3) refuse to post critical though not vulgar responses.
AOL is a woke [censored]-kissing site.
Had extensive coverage of a Biden speech but has not enabled comments. I am a moderate Democrat and even I think AOL is a slanted piece of S#!t
Not only do I have trouble satisfying whatever AOL pretends are their "community standards"...getting blocked, cancelled, held up in some way or another...the tech side of the issue is far worse. I can generally succeed in posting something for new stories...where comments are even allowed...but in trying to respond to those who've responded to me, the screen freezes up, there's issues with the screen loading, and in the middle of replying to a comment, it'll "reboot" or some such goofy thing. It is the worst platform I've ever seen and given their decades of service, that's more than just shameful. I'm glad I'm not paying for it.
this could be other factors than just AOL. it could be that between the server where the comment is currently and your comment there is a interruption which resulted in a "reboot" of the page as your browser tried to reconnect you to the page. this happens sometimes with me when my connection to the network hiccups. it DOESN'T have to be on your end the interruption it could be anywhere in the communication line to the page your commenting on.
Chances are you're a Conservative. AOL has blocked any and all post I attempt to send. I posted "Good Morning AOL" and that was blocked.
Comments rejected and now blocked from commenting on news articles
My comments have been rejected and now I am blocked from commenting on news articles. I was even blocked from offering a prayer for a person in an article that had come down with Cancer. Or criticizing the Biden Administration while other praised it. I have read dreadful comments on the comment feed even wishing death on people not vaccinated for Covid -19 or wishing harm and death to our former President. My last response that was blocked was to voice my opinion about an article telling us how sick a child has become from Covid 19 because she did not have the vaccine. I voiced my opinion that AOL should offer articles about people who came down with auto immune diseases or died shortly after receiving the vaccine. I was told that I did not adhere to guidelines. I am a paying customer of AOL and do not feel that I was treated fairly.
Desired outcome: Restore my ability to Comment and stop the biased treatment of subscribers.
I don't comment on any administration and yet I am banned from posting too. No answer from AOL as to why
Complaint against Aol
AOL is sooooo biased! They banned me from commenting on their articles for life. In the beginning I used comments that a little bit insulting to certain political figures, but not anymore.
Moderation on 7/11/2012, 7 am
My post were within your guidelines but the moderator has cancelled my ability to post. A moderator has to put aside their political differences and follow your guidelines. Please take a look at the QAnon story.
Desired outcome: Tp be able to post as i did not violate your guidelines and for this moderator to be replaced.
News articleds
You folks are so corrupt! its almost (and shoud be) criminal how you do not report real news and slant...no simply LIE about facts so far to the left your frkklin traitors. By the way in case you didn.t notice...Triump is no longer President...you have managed to corrupt the system to elect a demented old fool. what a farce!
Desired outcome: fire the news loosers you employ
AOL discussion blogs after a news story
Aol has stopped me and anyone else who uses my computer if they want to join in a discussion. Even if they write "that's great" they say it goes against their (aol) policy... I mean hellooooooo... What the heck is going on with people these days! Pissed off to say the least! It seems if you agree with the moderators you are safe from having your speech (writing) suppressed! I am really upset by this action...
Desired outcome: I want MY FREEDOM OF SPEECH REINSTATED!!!
Can't get into email
Where is AOL? Can't get into my mail. Won't let me change my password even though I've entered the right password multiple times. Service on the phone is very poor. It is July 4th and customer service number says they are not open on Sundays. And if you decide to wait to speak to someone it will be a long time before anyone picks up since they are flooded with calls.
How does one get help? The help button on AOL's sign in doesn't work either.
Closing this account asap...and it's been 25 years.

Comments being rejected
I have been a top commentator on AOL for probably 25 years. All of a sudden all of my comments were rejected the second they are posted. I have never committed a TOS or guidelines violation--no hateful or abusive material here. Despite numerous "feedback" reports, calling AOL, and attempting to track down those who control this aspect, I have had zero success. I, and others noticed a change in AOL starting about a year ago. Much of their reporting became bias as opposed to objective and any questions were met with either silence or chastisement. What is going on? Is AOL being run by China? Does anyone know how I can get this corrected, after having tried all of the above? Thank you. Ben Novick
Desired outcome: Restore my comments
2nd complaint, with no response. Why are my comments instantly removed when I am not in violation of your guidelines or any reasonable TOS? Why not answer for a change? Who is running your comment moderation over there--some foreign country who doesn't share our views of free speech? Please answer.
I am in the same boat. None of my comments were derogatory, only truthful. They were my OPINIONS which is why a comment section after an article is there for to begin with. I am an Independent. There is alot of good and bad to place on all parties. I think the last draw was that I did comment about Kamala Harris and her forever laughing regarding issues that are far from laughable. My only conclusion is that if you speak anything against the current Biden/Harris administration AOL will eventually ban you. So, I don't know why they banned you or reject your posts, which is virtually the same thing. No worries. You're better off not commenting. It just a venting mechanism anyway. No big deal.
Balanced news
WOW! Who is running your operations? I have been on AOL for over 20 years and have stayed with AOL when friends stated it is outdated. However, I have been shocked by how BIAS your stories are ! Can you put someone on your staff who can give us BOTH SIDES to each story? It is SO EVIDENT that you have a MAJOR AGENDA, PLEASE help all of us get a well rounded view of what is happening in our nation!
Desired outcome: Reply
Your news department
You know after reading about the Honolulu killing of a black man and the prejudice way of you people putting it out that made it sound like the police work fault I am getting very sick of your news reports it's people like you and it's right up like this that caused problems in the United States because people listen to the goddamn fake news you're the cause of half of this your associated press wrote it you should have never published it like that I'm getting sick of this you know if it wasn't for your mail I wouldn't want to read your God damn news once in awhile but you're starting to really piss me off I'm 63 years old and I've been sitting back I just watching all this my brother has a black wife and he's white my sister has a black husband and she's white this s*** doesn't go on like this you people are really pushing and if a man enters a room or a house my house the wrong way and I asked him to leave and he doesn't I'll be damned I'm going to shoot him too I don't give a s*** you're trying to get us in the sense or not if he's black white green red or blue the son of a b**** should never been in the house this right up should have never been wrote at least not that way I'm really getting sick of you AOL I really am
comment moderation
Dear AOL:
What is going on over there? All of my comments are being censored--rejected, and they do not remotely violate your guidelines or rules.
Please take my complaint seriously. You don't know how hard it was to even track down this venue for issuing a serious complaint.
You may respond to me personally at [protected].
Yours truly,
Benjamin H. Novick
Desired outcome: Removal of the blocker on my comments.
I have the same problem and I have been blocked...My posts are always edited...I have seen many crude and offensive contrarian views that were allowed to remain...double standard ?

I do not recall her name, unfortunately, but she would not connect me to tech support that I requested the Bot to do so many times re the problem I was having. I had spent over two hours or more trying to set up another account, making my no. of AOL account 3 in total if I had succeeded to do so today. I had in the past a business/social account by the name of: [protected]@aol.com for many years but not for over three years of more as that was ended and was not seen on my aol account for those years and for some time since being closed and removed. I still keep a website online but inactive, etc. Today, due to some requirement of Indeed.com, I needed a third email address and I decide to resurrect BostonHomeLanguage and so I tried to make a new account on my phone along with my other two accounts that are actively working on lmy Google account: [protected]@aol.com and [protected]@aol.com. I had all set up and ready to go and all I needed was to push one button for it all to fall into place with AOL but I received a message on the screen that there had been too many negative activities on my email today and tha AOL was unable to add my account today! That was all! I as done. Well that was not what I liked, of course. I pay $4.99 per month since the 80's per month for tech help and so I decided to call for tech help and to get some help to rectify this problem and to get someone to add this email to my account so I could finally look into a something of interest there.
I called in and, of course, the Bot could not find my email which I pronounced as clearly as possible — the first three letters for ALPEnglish1515, etc. I repeated and repeated, etc. Then, the AI sent me just to a regular service person instead of a tech person as I clearly requested for my $4.00 paid religiously per mo. for so many years. A young woman answered and after a long, long time of screening me refused to send me over for tech help. She was unable to send me a code to verify me since the code never reached either of my email boxes. I don't know why but they didn't. I begged her to send me to a supervisor but she said none were available and tried to get rid of me or one would call me back in 24 hours but that would not due as it would be too late or my phone would be faulty or I would be outside, etc. Plus it was a too much of a stall. She did not understand me in the beginning and I had to explain over 4 to 5 times what my problem was and I told her to at least get to a level 2 person. She said she had to verify first. This is overkill! You will lose clients this way! Just remember, I have been with you since the 80's! That is something!
I begged her to send me to the Accounts Dept. and I could get verified but she said she was that too and she had to other forms of verification that were not working first. I cannot see how she was really the accounts and the regular pick up service as well? She just stalled and stalled and and I was left with no recourse but to hang up but I told her that I would report her and that AOL could look her up as the person who had me on the phone no. above at 4 - 5 PM EST taking that hour for nothing when I could have gotten my account established and accomplished something at least.
This is not the first time this has happened but it was one os the worst times I have had and I am ill from this day, really! You need to find out who this young woman was and improve her use of English online, and prep her better on what techniques to use with clients regarding assistance when they have businesses and need just to get verified. I could have verified with the c.c. used, for example, etc.
I am angry about this really but want to add my new account and want this smoothed out tomorrow — too weary tonight. Please call me tomorrow PM after 12 noon to sort through this whole thing. My home phone is better for incoming phone calls: [protected] Thank you! Please check been with you since the 80's! Marlena A.L. Karami
Desired outcome: I would like to know you looked into this really and will make improvements in your customer service personnel.
getting on my aol account
You keep on asking me to receive a text to my land line which does not get texts to assure that I am me. Enough! If I cannot access my account, I guess I will have to go to g-mail. This sort of idiocy belongs in the government, not a fortune 500 company
Desired outcome: get me back to aol
Email and AOL site
AOL is claiming 1k on my site which when you go to edit and you see the correct numbers of people that there were good marks. AOL is stopping me by keeping the point system from posting any remarks/ That is a freedom of speech they are allowing when people on that site is saying much worse remarks/ I have tried to contact them and they will never email me or even call me. But when it comes to wanting me to buy something from them I am good enough
Desired outcome: Remove the restriction from my account or give me a reason for why.
