Applicant Tree pam text messages

I don't know how these people got my number, but they need to lose it. I have followed their instructions SEVERAL times to simply reply STOP, but they still send messages. I NEVER agreed to receive information or job information in any form be it email or text.

It is really stupid that these complaints need to be at least 350 characters. What a waste of time.

Applicant Tree Scam Job Posting

I am currently unemployed and looking for work. I received a list of job opportunities through Philadelphia Jobs. I clicked on a link for a Human Resources Assistant. I seemed to have the qualifications, so I applied for the job. I filled out the online application on Applicant Tree. I was then prompted to call [protected]. This seemed fishy to me. I thought it might be a scam to recruit prospective students, so I looked up the name of the employer listing the job opening. It was a legit organization. I called the number. After the representative verified the info from my application, she then began to ask questions about my plans to go back to school. When she pressed, I finally said I wouldn't be interested within the next year or so, she said I didn't qualify for the program and good luck with my job search. Then I looked up the job search site and then Applicant Tree. I found numerous complaints regarding Applicant Tree. Now you can add mine to the list.

I received an email from Jobungo about jobs in the Greensboro area. I clicked on "Receptionist" for Winston-Salem, filled out the form and uploaded my resume'. After doing this it indicated I needed to call immediately for an interview regarding this job. I called [protected] for an interview. The gentleman, whose name was "Keith" said he was a verification specialist and asked me the same the information that was already sent over to him. He claimed that employers want the "best and most qualified applicants" because of the large number of submissions they were receiving. I asked him where I was calling- and he said he was in Florida. I indicated I was just making sure and that this wasn't a scam, because it sounded like he was selling online education instead of screening a job applicant. He was hesitant about answering my questions as well. This is a scam!

I was responding to an employment ad on a job board for an administrative assistant position with the Kaiser Permanente, and a minute after I finished filling in the form and including my resume, I was prompted to call a number for a quick interview which I did not. I was prompted to set up a date and time to return the call back. I called the number back and was answered, they asked for my number and when I gave them a bogus number, they hung up on me. That is when I realized that this was a scam- I did my research into this company and it is a scam! The owner of the co. is an ex-con that went to jail years ago for this kind of fraud. He makes money by signing people up for career programs with fly-by- night -schools. Beware! If you become a victim like I did, contact the Federal Trade Commission and make a consumer report.

hey, I actually work there, I can tell you its not a scam. Yes, we do offer a free service to get applicants interested in going back to school info, but our primary purpose is the jobs. I offer the service to most applicants because honestly I have been surprised, applicants that tell me they have a masters degree and their career goals are to find an easy part time job near home sometimes do a one eighty and say they want a degree. I myself had a ged and then went on to get my bachelors, I seriously didn't realize I could go to college let alone receive fin aid so I really enjoy helping people that have a genuine interest, best part of the job really it can get boring lol. When people tell me they are not interested I move on, sometimes I ask again if they say something along the lines of well I would love to go back to school but... then i might say well you might qualify for fin aid or if they say they are too busy have you considered online, that type of thing. It's not a scam, we actually do just offer a free service, btw we don't deal with any 'schools' that aren't regionally accredited, we will do exactly what we explain in the beginning about verifying your info, asking general pre screening questions, and hope fully match you with other jobs you might want to apply for. Yes we offer the service, but it is not our focus, we don't pressure people or get them the annoying calls from schools, by you didn't 'qualify' for the service all the rep you talked meant is, you don't sound interested in school, lets not waste eachother's time and just finish up here.

I concur, there are too many scams. I googled the number as I also filled in a job application which undoubtedly is non-existant except to lure individuals into the scam.
