On April 13th, 2023 I had broken my bar that is glued to the bottom inside front teeth. I was looking for a emergency dental service that could help. I found Aspen Dental on google and called. The call was answered by customer service rep, who I asked is this something Aspen Dental could help me with. She replied yes and had an appointment for me in Oak Creek, Wi. The call got disconnected. I called back and thankfully I did, because the next lady who I spoke to said she sees I have an appointment in Germantown, Wi scheduled. That was the first upsetting thing. So, I go to my appointment and was told we don't fix those bars here but could possibly remove it. I said fine to removing it because I needed it done. I was called and taken for XRAYS. I did not come for XRAYS. I was then put in a room. The dentist came in and went right to putting my chair back and did a quick removal of my bar by just pulling it off. Leaving all the glue behind on my teeth. She then told me that my XRAYs showed back build up in some of my gums. She wanted me to come in for a deep cleaning. It was posters I seen posted in the room. Seemed to be a more intense cleaning then your normal cleaning. I said ok, I guess. I then asked her where to go to get a new bar put in. She said "oh you don't need the bar anymore, I getting you a retainer. You just have to wear it at night". I thought ok. Go to check out and told a ridiculous amount. I said what is on this. The lady told me braces. I said I not getting braces. She took awhile talking to the dental assistants on what I was getting done. I was to make an appointment, come back same day for deep cleaning and a impression for a bottom retainer. I got that figured out and paid for the bar removed, deep cleaning, impression and retainer. The appointment was made for May 4th, 2023. I was called on May 4th in afternoon to see if I could come in earlier. I said well yes I can. When I got there, there was hardly any people like the first time I was there. I was told computers are down and they were figuring out why I was there. What? Ok so taken to a different area then the first time, a different dentist and while cleaning my teeth, she also did not have the XRAY to see where the bad tarter was, told me she usually takes a hour to hour and a half to do this, but she had other patients to see so I was not getting what I paid for in the first place. My teeth are not cleaned properly and for what I paid for. I asked about my impression that was to be done and she said nothing can be done now come back. What? So, I came in June 2nd, they didn't know again why I was there. I got my impression done by a dental assistant. Told to come back in two weeks to pick it up. Went on June 20th appointment time and the place was closed. No call, no email no nothing. A note on door said to all Waukesha Aspen. I did, they told me they call back in 24/48 hrs. No call. I called end of July to the Germantown Aspen number. It transferred me to West Bend. They said they would figure it out. August 10th I got a call, retainer there, make an appointment to pick it up. This is a hour away from me. Appointment made for 3pm August 21st, 2023. I get called back and they do not have my retainer she says. What? Now I am very very upset. She retakes my impression and says she call when its in. Next day got a call, oh my retainer is there in a different packaging that they not use to. I am so upset now and over it all.
Desired outcome: I want full refund price for my retainer. For all my troubles. I would like a proper deep cleaning that was to be done and I was charged for. I would like this done at the Aspen Dental in West Allis, Wi. I would like a sincere apology.
