I have been using Assurance Total Protection for my renter's insurance, and then I switched to their home and *** coverage
I have been using Assurance Total Protection for my renter's insurance, and then I switched to their home and *** coverage. In February , my policy was expiring, and I received correspondence regarding the renewal of my homeowners insurance. However, as they admitted to me during a phone call on August 3, they "dropped the ball" and failed to renew my policy. As a result, my mortgage payment has increased by $200, and it will remain that way until my escrow coverage is replenished, which will take approximately 12 months due to their mistake. Their attempt to rectify the situation is by offering me a $50 *** gift card.
Furthermore, I have had unpleasant experiences with their customer service representatives. They have been rude to me on the phone, even yelling at me because they mistakenly believed that I had hung up on them. Their behavior towards me has been disrespectful. Additionally, they consistently fail to have my correct information on file. They still believed that I lived in my previous rental property from over a year ago.
Given that this mistake was entirely their fault and they have acknowledged it, I expect them to reimburse me for the necessary correction of my escrow coverage.
I recently had a frustrating experience at Napleton Kia in Carmel, IN while purchasing a car
I recently had a frustrating experience at Napleton Kia in Carmel, IN while purchasing a car. The salesman recommended that I speak with an agent named Chris at Assurance Total for insurance. Chris informed me that I could get insurance for the vehicle at a monthly cost of $118, but I would need to make a down payment of $210, which I assumed was for the first month of coverage. Unfortunately, I was not made aware of any additional fees that Chris would be charging.
After providing my debit card information, Chris informed me that the monthly insurance bill had actually increased to $145. To make matters worse, the ID card printed by the car salesman had the wrong name on it. I requested that the name be corrected, but was informed that it would take 24 hours to update.
The day after purchasing my car, I attempted to log into my insurance account using the policy number ***. However, I was unable to access my account because there was an email address associated with that policy number that I did not recognize. I contacted Progressive, the insurance company, and discovered that my actual monthly payment was $153 and the name on the account was still incorrect.
It became clear that I had been misled by Chris from the beginning. He had added a $92 fee without my consent or knowledge. Frustrated, I decided to cancel the policy, but was informed that I would only receive $131 out of the $210 down payment. As of today, I have not received the $131 refund.
My attempts to reach Chris have been unsuccessful, as he has ignored my calls and I have been placed on hold for over 20 minutes. I have also made multiple calls to the office in an attempt to speak with a manager, but have not been successful.
Chris claimed that I had electronically signed documents that prevented him from refunding the $65 fee he charged, but I never signed anything. The car salesman even confirmed that Chris had only sent the ID card with the incorrect name and that we had not signed any documents from Assurance Total.
