Food vendors
I am at the airport now, it is 7:00pm on a Monday night in terminal D. Most of the food establishments are closed. Popeyes rudly yelled they were closing and made everyone go away. Honestly, if I could have gotten a bag of chips from one of the stores I would have been happy, also all closed! My husband and I were stuck on a diverted plane for 3 hours due to weather and missed any connecting flights. After booking to a completely different destination and arranging a pick up for us over an hour further from home, we were starving! Any establishment that WAS open, had a long line and we wouldn't be able to get the food in time to make our flight. This is NOT the first time we have traveled through wanting food and been unable to find anything open. There are people everywhere! Why is this happening?
Desired outcome: Vendors need to be opened during normal restaurant hours (at least until 10pm) or should not be servicing an airport. This is not unreasonable.
Wheelchair Assistance
My parents flew in on May 28th,2022 and they are both needed wheelchairs. We ordered the service with their tickets and called to confirm to make sure everything was set. Once getting to( ATL airport) there was no wheelchair people to meet them or golf golf driver. Unable to walk more than a few steps they had sit and wait ( not even the gate people assisted. After minutes passed a fellow passenger noticed them, went found wheelchairs and assisted them to the next gate(running). I'm disgusted two disabled people left with no assistance
Desired outcome: Refund, apology, first time flying ( free tickets)
Fall on wet floor
I fell from wet floor with no sign. Was told a spirit worker called 911 and to wait there. No one ever showed up to access me or make a report. After 30 minutes I then asked another worker what to do. I was given a number to call. The person who answered was very rude and told me they only document if I call 911. At which point my flight was boarding and NOTHING was documented or attempted to be documented or help at all
Desired outcome: Documentation and follow procedures for me to receive care for my leg pain
Parking
The North Parking garage is an absolute disaster! The lot was open and yet I spent 7 minutes searching for an open spot with no luck. Just to exit the lot took another 25 minutes because only one ticketing booth was working. It took 15 minutes for an agent to come fix the machine and the line was backed up. I ended up missing my flight because of this issue! For the busiest airport there should be more organization.
Desired outcome: Refund for my missed flight!
Multiple employees
I arrived from Rome went through trusted traveler with fiancé. As I rounded the turn after customs a lady to my left rudely said get over here on the other side of the line. I said my finance’s coming behind me. She yelled rudely again get over there. I told her didn’t want to get separated from my family that he is coming right behind me. The some gentleman with a European accent came to harass me saying he would escort me out of the airport. So I moved and was separated from my family. Went to security where multiple agents were immediately rude. I was tsa precheck and had a light weight scarf they told me to take it off. So I quickly tossed it to the belt and again they yelled at me saying don’t you throw things. 9 employees total were rude and disrespectful. By the time I made it to my gate I had been verbally abused multiple times. Then when at the gate I sat down near an unattended suitcase. I told security who came by and he rolled his eyes and walked on. What kind of place are you operating here?)
Desired outcome: Improve for others. People don’t deserve abuse for doing nothing. Employees should at least try a nice attitude.
International Airport CNN Store
2:00 PM December 25th International Airport
I had a flight to catch to Lagos and the line was already long. My wife is pregnant and she needed something to drink as she was feeling lightheaded and dizzy. I waited for whoever this African America lady on the clock to check me out as she was breaking down boxes and talking on the phone. She also hung up on accident and decided to take a break from checking me out to call back the person she was speaking to. I was in the store for 7 minutes waiting to buy a snickers and a honest green tea. I was never greeted and this type of customer service shouldn't be accepted. Especially when I told her to move with some urgency. I wasn't able to get her name, but as you guys know the scheduling. Please handle this.
North security employees
Wednesday December 8th I was flying from Atlanta and went through the North Security. The employees were extremely rude. I realize this is one of the busiest airports but I see no reason why we have to be treated so rudely! They are yelling to stop and then get irritated that we aren't moving forward or they are irritated that we have moved forward when they want us to slow down to let things get caught up. How are we to know what is going on. When I got to the area to place personal items on conveyor they kept yelling unintelligible directions and then getting mad we couldn't understand. The man behind me kept putting his things in between my containers and I asked him to stop and the security person yelled at me and said it didn't matter what order they go through. You ask we keep our eyes on our things and yet they go ahead of us and sit there waiting, if your things aren't together it is easy to miss or pick up the wrong things. Everyone should have all their containers together not separated by other peoples. The man in security kept yelling at me to hurry up and wouldn't let me put my containers together. How about a little kindness and patience after all we are taking off shoes and jackets and unpacking our computers and other personal items. They make traveling more stressful!
Desired outcome: Consideration and respect!
Inappropriate TSA agent
I was treated extremely rudely by a TSA agent at the North Terminal security checkpoint at the Atlanta airport at 10:15am today. I was extremely confused and asking for clarity because I was asked to go back and forth through security several times and I didn't understand where to go or why. A young African American male told me "stop acting like a 5 year old!". I am a 40 year old woman who travels frequently and have never been treated to poorly in my life.
Desired outcome: This employee should be provided disciplinary counseling and education about how to interface with the public
Disability assistance
The is the second time in a row I have flown in to Atlanta after arranging for assistance being visually impaired. I need help getting from the arrival gate to baggage claim and to the exit to me meet my transportation. The first time no one arrived to help and the second time I was told they are short handed and I would have to wait and the man said he would point me in the direction I need to go! This is absurd, unprofessional, and definitely uncalled for! The airport is well into almost 2 years dealing with Covid and this cannot be an excuse! The fault lies with who is controlling the airport and that would be the city of Atlanta! I assume not to hear from you as that would be typical! Another big democratic [censored] hole city! Have a blessed day!
Customer Service
I called customer service to gain clarity on how to deal with my luggage not being able to be taken off of the plane due to having to rebook my flight. When speaking with the
representative and explaining the situation, she cut me off in the middle of my sentence, "as I said before.." with a nasty tone. Not only was her tone bad, but she assumed she'd spoken to me before. This was inaccurate. I did not call her or respond to her negatively and therefore did not deserve her non-customer service-like response. Additionally, even if I were someone who had called before, she has no place to talk to anyone in that way. This is unacceptable, especially when a beyonce concern is brought to her attention as a CUSTOMER SERVICE rep.
Lost luggage
I had a departure flight on March 31, 2021, at 8 am at Hartsfield Jackson international airport in Atlanta. I checked in two bags at the check-in luggage area. I arrived in Newark New Jersey at 10 am, went to the luggage pick-up area and only one of my bags was there. I spoke with a spirit worker and told him that I had another bag and it's not there. He had taken my information to looked up what had happened to my other luggage, he said it was never placed on the plane from Hartsfield Jackson airport, he gave me a card with the information to file a report. I file the report and no one had ever contacted me about my situation. On April 1, I called Hartsfield airline to find out what had happened to my lost luggage no one answered the phone. When I had finally got through to a customer service person they said they could not help me. I had to file a complaint with the lost and found I did that as well and as of today, no one reached out to me inference to my lost luggage.
Airport Maintenance
The maintenance woman with the leopard head cover decided it would be best to blow the pollen from the street where people were standing waiting for the international shuttle! One lady was on the curb and got a whole yellow cloud to the face, AND the little girl working at the shuttle post was doused in pollen and debris from the road! Everything on the sidewalk was covered in pollen and leaves, etc. and the little girl working there had to go get the lady and ask her to reblow it all back off of the sidewalk! She then had to REwipe everything at her station. How very unprofessional! Can this not be a task that's completed earlier in the morning when less people are on the curbs?
Desired outcome: Use common sense?
cnn
Why do you subject everyone to CNN? It's not right to be pumping propaganda for the Democratic Party. The news is full of lies and negativity. I'd suggest just putting up sports channels. You offend a great deal of people when setting channels to CNN. Why not Fox News? I'm sure your all what?
Exactly-
Turn the crap CNN spews off!
took over 2 hours to receive my luggage!
Place was a joke today! Landed from a 2 hour flight with Frontier and it took me over 2 hours to get mine and my wife's luggage. Carousel was changed multiple times, I fully expect some compensation for the meeting that I missed due to this unacceptable issues! I travel a lot and this was the worst display of any airport I've been in across the country!
baggage claim 2
I arrived from Austin 20/Dec at 1230. I have been waiting 2 hours for my bags along with 300 other passengers. There is no Information being given and no employees around to assist. This is so unprofessional I am late because of this. Im being held here while I here pressing business to attend to else where. What is going on here, where are the employees to assist the travelers?
security
On thurs. Aug. 8th at approx. 3:00 PM my two teenage daughters and I entered the security area. A sign indicated a 15-30 min. wait. We proceeded through the line for approx. 20 mins. A agent redirected us to another line off the the left. He did not give us the option just sent us over. We did as was requested. He then divided that line into two. I watched people just entering the security line going past me. We proceeded to stand in that line for over 30 more mins. When i got to an agent I pleaded with them to let me over to the line that was moving because we were very concerned about missing our flight. She said it was up to the people in line. The people in line said no problem because they could see that our line was not moving. When we got up to the belt and put our shoes and carry-on items in the containers and onto the belt the agent took our stuff and shoved it back at my daughter and told her that she had to wait her turn. My other daughter was already through security and I was about to but had to go back to help my other daughter. The agent purposely delayed us for several minutes. Finally we were permitted to put our stuff on the belt and walk through the scanning device. However the agent stopped me and decided that she needed to search my pockets and wipe my fingers and send me through the device 2 more times. I was at this point furious and I said what is the problem? It seems like you are determined to make us miss our flight. She replied well you shouldn't be late to the airport. I replied very angrily that I was not late to the airport and that I arrived at the airport at 2:20 for a 4:30 flight to Philly. She finally let me go and she and her coworkers were actually laughing. These people working were rude, unprofessional and for the most part joking around instead of doing their jobs. We missed our boarding time by 5 mins. along with 10 other people also delayed by airport security. We all had to take a flight to NJ several hours later and get an uber to the Philly airport.
vehicle
Hello my name is Malikah Sabir and my issue started off with the Conyers location. When I arrived it was raining bad. When I was given my car I immediately left but notice seats inside were fitly dirty on the front and back seats. So I called the Conyers location back and told them what the issue was and I was told to call another location in COVINGTON, Ga. When I spoke to the rep he stated at his location they really don't rent out cars and didn't have any in stock. When I explained to him what happen at the Conyers location he thought it was ridiculous and inform to call corporate. But I didn't because I thought it would work it self out. So later that evening I went to the our Atlanta Hartsfield Airport Hertz location. Once I got another vehicle it had bald tires. So then I had to wait for another vehicle. Once I received another vehicle thought it was ok and much better . But to my surprise upon driving home a light for the tires came on. Stating that tire pressure was low so I put air in the tire. On the second day I drove to work the signal light for low tire pressure came on again (same tire). I am at a boiling point now and feel this is taking out to much of my time. My car will be in the shop for 20 days maybe, and I need transportation that is reliable. Now I have to go back to the airport location today to see can I get a better vehicle.
Awful treatment
I didn't have a long time to go through all the lines. They would be smaller if the officers worked faster. They were very slow like turtles.
No one really cares if you really have only 40 minutes till your next flight and no one will help.
This airport is overcrowded. Employees are super rude and arrogant. Endless lines because of their slow work. Terrible place.
lack of customer service
There's no customer service. It's simply inefficient. The waiting time is a joke. I had a connecting flight and had to wait for 3 hours in endless lines to get the passport control. What's the problem to hire more officers instead of only three ones? The volume of passengers is huge, there are hundreds and hundreds of them, they constantly arrive and have to stay in lines like idiots for long hours missing their flights. It's really strange that the situation like this actually exists.
May 19th. Spirit airline flight 271 from Las Vegas had an extreme long wait to retrieve bags.
It’s highly disappointing that this airport operates so mismanaged.
People have time constraints as well.
I would like to experience a reasonable baggage drop. Over 1 hour is completely unacceptable.
It's really sad to watch these poor dogs being dragged around by people who are on cell phones and distracted in one way or another. Today I saw a dog that clearly needed water as it's not very cool inside but his handler was oblivious. It's really hard to watch
