I thought this would be a great deal - audio books without a monthly service. I even convinced my friends to start buying books from them. But then I noticed a monthly service charge on my credit card statement. I called their customer service number, but it just goes straight to voicemail. I made 5 calls over 2 weeks, but they never returned my call. Finally, I reported it as fraud to my credit card company to stop the charges. Now, the credit card company canceled my card and I have to wait 3 business days to get a new one. I strongly advise against doing business with Audiobookstore.com.

Fraudulent charges on my card
I have had multiple fraudulent charges on my card from this company. I have never purchased anything from them ever. No way to contact them, leave messages only, no return calls. Even their customer service option on their webpage goes nowhere. And yes I have canceled my cards 3 times and still somehow they get my number, I am assuming through Amazon somehow. I will continue to cancel cards and block all your transactions. THIEF!

Thank you! I called their customer support number, and an automated voice asked to leave a message. It shouldn't be this hard to cancel an audiobooks subscription!

This company been billing me for the last 8 months $7.95. They won't answer the phone or return phone calls. I talked to Cash App and they canceled my account, but they keep withdrawing because they can't close out my Cash App account. I want all my money put back into my account. The company has been charging me $7.95 every month since then, without me knowing or agreeing to it. They've taken more than $2,500 from me over the years for a service I never asked for. It wasn't until this month, June 2022, that I realized I've been getting charged $7.95 every month since I joined. What's sketchy about this is that Audiobookstore.com doesn't send a monthly bill to let you know they've charged your card. They've taken more than $200 from me without me even knowing it was happening every month.

I bought an Audiobook for my bro in April . He needed it for school stuff. After he finished it, I didn't use the service anymore and closed my account like they said. But then, in June and July , they charged my bank account twice, and the amounts were different - $10.17 on June 18 and $10.29 on July 19. I asked them about these charges, and they immediately started messing with my head. They said I was paying for some membership I never signed up for. They gave me links that were supposed to be "easy" to understand, but they were just confusing. There's no info about this "FlexMembership" on their website or app. I called them six times, but they kept avoiding my calls. So, I reported it as fraud to my bank and had to change all my banking stuff. Audiobook told me they gave me a refund, but that's a total lie. They keep sending me annoying and disrespectful emails, so I had to block them.

I'm thinking that they found a way to legally do it but I am so mad that just because they somehow found a way to slip these charges in sideways, that they get to just get away with it. Even if they can legally show cause to have charged me all this time for a service I haven't used, I would say there's a difference between being right and righteous. I'm appealing to anyone in your organization that can see the wrong in this and come at it in such a spirit that they won't tolerate this and won't let it go uncontested on their watch. I bought one audiobook from them three years ago (03/30) and haven't used their service since. I tried to call them but all I can do is leave an unreturned message. I find it even more terrible that they would do this to somebody, especially in the current events of the pandemic, when so many are struggling.

I never bought anything from this site but they keep takin money from my card like they got my bank info too. I dunno if this is a scam or if they just like takin people's money without permission. I seen lotsa other folks online sayin the same thing and when they talk to customer service, nothin gets fixed and the charges keep comin even after reportin it as fraud to their own banks. I don't got the statements from the first time I noticed the charges cuz I thought it would stop after I changed my card. But I got proof of at least one charge (the most recent one). I just want them to stop takin my money and never do it again cuz I never used their site and it's straight up stealin.
