The experience I had with BALTICBRN was awesome. The dress I ordered was great quality, and the shipping was fast (and paperwork was included in the box). There are a lot of people on here saying they are a scam because they wouldn't give cash refunds, but their policies are very clearly posted on their site. It's not their fault if you don't take the time to read them. They offer a size guide and customer service if you're unsure what size to order, so there is really no reason to order the wrong one then get upset when you can't return it. They will help you find the right size before you order. And if it doesn't work out, you get store credit to get the right size or something else pretty.If you're comfortable with their return policy (and honestly they have such wide variety that I'd think it shocking you couldn't find one other thing you like), then don't let the haters get you down. When I come across policies like this, I order my Plan A but have a Plan B in mind in case the first item doesn't work out. Then I can shop confidently knowing I'll still get my money's worth.
I tried to leave this review twice and it was not processed and added to their site. They are intentionally filtering out negative feedback to look better. Really disappointed in this company. They need to evaluate their customer service, policies, transparency, and product quality. A lot to improve. Uma Maxi Velvet Floral Plum I purchased this dress earlier in the Summer with the hopes of wearing it to 2 weddings this year, and more events in the future. After the first wedding, I wanted to clean the dress to keep it fresh for future use. I followed the instructions on the care label exactly (even going the extra mile and putting it a delicate bag too). Afterwards discovered there were tears on both sides of the bust area and the slit was bunched up strangely. I contacted customer service for a refund or replacement due to the quality issue and was told Baltic Born's policy is "If an item has been washed it no longer qualifies for damage compensation or a return". I understand this is their policy, but I feel like in this case that is unreasonable. They need to address their quality issues or address their incorrect care labels. If their policy is no return after washing, they shouldn't recommend to wash or do thorough testing to ensure their garments can make it through a few cycles. I love this dress (fit great, very comfortable, beautiful pattern), but very disappointed in this brand as a whole.

When I did see it on tried to communicate with them. This is nearly impossible. I ended up sending an email, which they did t answer for a week. By then it was too late to make any returns. Between the poor customer and their terrible website… Ugh! I doubt I will buy from them again.

I am not all unhappy with this company but they DO NOT make dresses for PLUS SIZE women. I have tried now two of their dresses. The first one was my actual size in other clothing and it did not fit. So I ordered a different dress and that one not only did NOT fit but the breast area was not even close to the picture. Now, the response from this company is okay. They are pretty quick to respond but it is not a good feeling that I have gone through two dresses and neither have fit. Now I am out of close to 80.00 because they have a no refund of your money. I understand why they are doing that but if the dress does not fit, how is that MY FAULT? I am extremely angry about this and now I am scrambling to find a dress for a wedding that I am in, in MARCH! ugh...

The quality of the dress is amazing, color is amazing and the make overall was perfect! I was nervous just because I don't like ordering clothes without trying them on first but this was perfect! I love it and cannot wait until October to wear it! Just FYI, always read the reviews so you know the correct size to purchase and how it will fit all over! I ordered a size down after reading reviews that said it fit slightly big! Take some responsibility! The info is out there!

BUYER BEWARE. If I could give 0 stars, I would. I could not be more disappointed with my experience and have never felt so disrespected as a customer. The items I ordered were poor quality and did not fit my body type. After returning them, they will only give store credit and not offer refunds. This doesn't make sense to me. If you stand behind the quality of your product, why won't you give people their money back? Companies that have quality products and good customer service don't have these kinds of or number of complaints. Perhaps their business model is built on tricking their customers into thinking that "free returns" means they can get their money back? I'm baffled that this kind of behavior is allowed, it should be criminal. SHAME ON YOU.

I was hesitant to buy online from any store. I feel bad for the people below because I had the exact opposite transaction. I bought mine on a Saturday and it got to me by the following Wednesday (without having to pay extra for shipping... just normal speed). The dress is in a plastic bag and a little wrinkly, but I was able to steam it and it looks great. I love the rust color. My dress was missing the belt, so I was a little stressed because it is also a bridesmaid dress. I emailed them Wednesday evening and after having very pleasant email exchanges, they are sending me another belt. The customer support response says that someone will get back to me within 48 hours, and it was within 12 hours so it really helped my stress. I think the dress is perfect and beautiful for the wedding I am in and I am grateful for their customer service. This is honestly the first time I have purchased a dress online and I read the return policy and that they don't give money back but allow exchanges, is yes, that made me nervous, but I went with my gut and am happy with the result.
Absolute trash. Their credit store only policy is very well hidden, and you only find out about it once you try to return something. Im out almost $500 because I ordered a bunch of options for myself and a bridesmaid for my wedding. The dresses that arrived are all extremely cheap fabrics and very simply made. Theres absolutely nothing about these dresses that justifies the price.Their customer service was EXTREMELY condescending, and kept harping on them being a small business which has nothing to do with their horrible ethics. This small business somehow sends out marketing Emails multiple times a week, with hundreds of new dresses daily, constantly updates with new professional photos, but you know, theyre a SMALL BUSINESS that isnt capable of doing returns (private labeling anyone?) .
Do not order from this company at all costs. Why spend your money on a company that treats their customers like garbage and cheats them out of their money? They claim that it's because of the cost of returns because they know that their low quality products will all be returned and they would go out of their business, so they steal. I already see the automated reply that they're giving everyone, but they should think about the hard working people that are trying to buy something for a special event are you are stealing money that is rightfully theirs. It's up to the customer to decide if they want to make an exchange or purchase somewhere else and you take that right away from people.
Absolutely horrible experience. The generic responses to these reviews are exactly what I received when trying to resolve an issue. An order was accidentally submitted with a shopping cart full of "options" I never intended on purchasing. I IMMEDIATELY emailed them within minutes through FB and their website, NOTE: there is no number provided to talk to anyone. When someone did get back to be more then 24hours later, they said since the items had already shipped there was nothing they could do. Now I have a ridiculous amount in store credit I don't want or need and with Christmas around the corner I could sorely use that money... I never even touched the dresses and sent them right back! Beware, horrible return policy. I purchased a dress for the Holiday's. It came and I tried it on. The size was way too long and it was super thin material and looked cheap. I figured I'd return it and get my money back. NOT! Even though I purchased with Amazon Pay, they still wouldn't refund my money to my card. They gave me store credit for a lessor amount. I understand maybe you initially give store credit but when someone is insistent about wanting their money back, you'd think they'd do it. Horrible customer service. I have really enjoyed every dress I have ordered from Baltic Born! I have several and they all look great on my plus size body and I receive compliments every time I wear them. Their customer service has always been helpful in answering my questions about sizing and resolving any issues. I understand that some people find their store credit policy frustrating, but I can see why they have it. Many people buy a fancy dress for a wedding, wear it, damage it, and then try to return it for a refund. I know several friends who do this and it's not fair or honest. So, I understand why Baltic Born has this policy in place. It's the customer's responsibility to research and review a company's policies before making a purchase, as businesses should be able to operate as they see fit. If you don't like their policy, you can always shop somewhere else. Just because you disagree with how they run their business doesn't make them a bad company! I'm grateful that Baltic Born offers stunning, high-quality dresses for events at a much lower cost than other places, and they cater to all body types. I looked over their return policy first and it seemed normal, I didn't notice anything about not issuing refunds. - The dresses I purchased are sized TINY, an XL is like a M and a L is like an XS. I returned the dresses with tags on and they are only offering store credit, less the shipping fee. If a company wants to hold customer money hostage that way as a national online retailer they need to MAKE IT LOUD AND IN YOUR FACE. When I made the purchase it wasn't clearly written anywhere. They wrote of issuing a refund, but it wasn't at all clear that it was ONLY store credit. This must be how they make their money and it's robbery. They sell a terrible product, have fake reviews and then refuse to refund their customers for legitimate returns. I'm not even trusting that this is a legit company. It's probably some scam from China.

I ordered four different dresses from this retailer for a wedding. I decided to keep one of the four. Only when I went to return the dresses did I learn that they have a no refund policy, only store credit. Nowhere in the ordering process does this retailer make that fact known to the buyer. Unless you specifically look for the return policy, you won't know about it until it's too late. In some of the responses to other complaints, the retailer says the return policy is prominently stated on every page. That is not true. It's always a separate link to click on and there is NO WARNING at check out that the sale is basically final. This is criminal and I want a refund.
This company is a scam. The pictures online look pretty, but the dress that arrived is very different. The material is cheap and instead of a shimmer as listed, it has tasteless large glitter dots, like a child art project. They grossly overcharged for what was delivered. I ordered a $136.80 dress from Baltic Borns website. After receiving and trying on the dress, I decided it did not fit properly and I would need to return. I submitted a return request to Baltic Born, who then sent me a *** return label. I returned the dress using the label they sent me on 1/25/22. I have checked the *** tracking # and the package is not showing that it has been accepted by ***. I have reached out to *** and they cannot find my package whatsoever - it is lost. I have relayed this information to Baltic Born who says they cannot do anything for me. So now I have no dress and no refund store credit and I am very displeased.

I wanted to get a few options to try on and see in person so I ordered 4 dresses ($400). At no point during the checkout process, or confirmation email was the return policy clearly stated. I was disappointed that one of them came with a stain, and all of them were low quality for the price. I would compare the quality to Shein, which is about 1/3 of the price of BB. After I found out about the predatory return policy that only gives store credit instead of a full refund and only 21 days from the deliver date to return, I left a comment on a post on their Instagram account warning others and they blocked me. Baltic Born is not operating in good faith, locking buyers in without clear communication. I will never recommend BB to anyone and will continue to let others know about it until I get my money back.

I purchased a dress from Baltic Born in December . Not only did the sizing chart not align with the correct measurements for what I ordered, the return/exchange policy is predatory. There is no pop up or check box where you acknowledge there are no returns or exchanges offered. There is only a small link on the bottom of the screen that details this policy. Buyer beware, only store credit is offered for items that you return. I paid $65.67 for the order and was only offered a store credit of $57.37. Additionally, it appears that this vendor also does not allow poor reviews on their website as a simple Google search will list the many complaints against this predatory company. I reached out to the vendor directly to request a refund back to my credit card, but they declined. Please stay away from this predatory business.

Be careful! I am 62 years old. I am careful about ordering from on line stores. I purchased the same dress in 3 different colors. Upon purchase, I did not see anywhere that Baltic Born considered this a final sale. None of the dresses fit. I actually measured myself to ensure I ordered the proper size. I am 5'9" and weigh 145. I am a size medium according to there charts. Within the first week, I sent an email stating that the dresses do not fit. I think I simply received a computer generated response. Since then, I have sent at least 7 emails trying to get in touch with a live agent. The sleeves are too short, and the shoulders are tight. The front of the dress does not lay properly. My order total was about $160.00. This is the first time in my life I have submitted a complaint to the Complaintsboard.com. I located their business number in Utah. What is your mailing address? I would be happy with a credit for 2 of the 3 dresses, if that is possible.

Because this is a new-to-me company, I ordered several dresses with the intention of trying them on, seeing which fit best, and returning the other two. It's a very common practice. At no point during the shopping or checkout process was I made aware of or asked to acknowledge the company's policy of not offering refunds to the original form of payment and only offering store credit. Once I received the three items, I tried them on *that day, determined which I would keep, and filed for a return of the other two. Only at this point was I made aware of the store's policy of only offering store credit. The store argues that it makes customers aware of the policy by posting links to it on their website. However, these policies are buried and are not readily accessible to customers. I would like a refund to my original form of payment for the two returned (and undamaged) dresses.

Baltic Born is an online clothing company, which during a pandemic is a great solution when shopping for gowns for my daughters fall wedding. I read reviews, took measurements and ordered a dress, I paid in full with shipping, The dress arrived and it was as described, no complaint, but it did not fit in the arms, I requested a return label upon reading they do not offer a cash back return, only store credit, okay I will try another style to see if that fits better. We printed the label and returned the dress in the same condition as it was mailed. I recieved the dress on March 7, and returned it on April 8. I then received an email this week stating that I only had 21 days to return the dress, they sent me the policy and said they could mail me back the dress for an additional 7 dollars but otherwise too bad for you. This is ludicrous, it wasn't 6 months, it wasnt 3 months it was 30 days. I wasn't aware of the 21 day policy..which again WE ARE IN A PANDEMIC.

I recently purchased a dress from Baltic Born. The dress was a bridesmaids dress that the bride picked out. I purchased it as soon as she sent the link, and within hours, the dress went out of stock. I was the only bridesmaid able to purchase the dress. The bride had been waiting on notifications for this dress to be restocked, and sent us all the link once it was. Since it ran out of stock within hours, she decided not to use this as a bridesmaids dress, not knowing if the rest of the bridal party would be able to obtain it. I emailed customer service and explained the whole situation and asked for my purchase to be canceled within hours after I ordered. They replied that they absolutely do not do order cancellations and I will have to wait for the dress to be shipped, ship it back, pay for shipping, and only receive store credit (which I have no use for). This is unacceptable. I've never heard of a retail company that doesn't offer order cancellations without exception.

I ordered 3 dresses from Baltic Born. I received the items - 1, I noticed I'd ordered the wrong size completely (S instead of XL) so I didn't even open the packaging; 2 - I tried on, didn't care for it and promptly replaced in packaging; 3 - loved and wanted to keep. I went thru their return links to get a shipping label. Unfortunately, I'm a 9 months pregnant individual without daily access to a vehicle so it took longer for me to get to the post office. By the time they received it, I was *1 weekover their 21 day cut off. I'm 100% aware of the store-credit only policy -- which I'm fine with that. All I want is the store credit. They are refusing. I either can pay $7 to have my items shipped back -- which again, one doesn't even remotely fit me nor will it ever; and the other, I truly don't like and would never wear. Or I can just be out $120. Their policy is incredibly ableist and discriminates against those without the economic privilege of having a vehicle to use at whim.

After placing my order I was informed by a friend that they had placed a similar order from Baltic Born and only received store credit for her almost $600 purchase. I became concerned and emailed the company asking about the policy and was told that their policy is located at the top and bottom of their pages and is refusing to give me a refund once I return the dresses. It is not common practice for companies to issue store credit only. If this is their policy the customer should be forced to agree to it prior to placing a purchase instead of expecting them to look for and review all of their policies prior to making a purchase. I'm not talking about a $75 dress, I'm talking about $500 worth of clothing that I am not prepared to pay for and did not expect to have to pay for as a customer of an online store. It is deceitful and terrible customer service.

Three days later, before the dresses had even shipped, I decided I wanted to cancel my order. I was then told that their refund policy is that you don't get your money back, only store credit. This is such bad business, and a VERY bad look for a company run by three women making big claims about empowerment, etc. I can't afford to be permanently out over $400; that's the opposite of empowerment! There was nothing in the entire checkout process letting me know that I wouldn't be able to get my money back for returns. Regardless of legal technicalities, and saying, "Oh, but it's at this link on our website", if you cared at all about your customers, you would at the very least - and I mean the VERY least - be transparent with them. Horrible customer service, horrible business ethics. Shame on you. I demand a refund. Do better.

I returned them in Sept. 14, well within the returns window, and the company offered me store credit for the returned items. They are refusing to refund my money despite the dressed having been returned in the exact condition they came to me within their returns window. I cannot afford to have my dress budget stuck in store credit with them. I would never have purchased anything from them, let alone multiples had I known they would not refund my money.I am quite willing to pay a restocking fee or return shipping but now refunds is an absurd policy for an online clothing company. I wouls appreciate any assistance the complaintsboard.com can offer to resolve this dilema. They have a very poor rating on this site, mostly due to this issue. I ordered four dresses in April 2022 in the amount of $460+. I only ordered 2 styles (2 sizes each). After the fact I have learned that it is Store Credit only for returns. I cannot be out of this large amount of money. I need a refund. I am only keeping one dress.This is a *** based company and we pay in *** Dollars. This is not customary. I am very used to seeing the *** flag on "foreign" websites and those sites follow-up with you to say all sales are final and no returns. I have steered clear of these sites and landed on Baltic Born. I was so happy, but now I am furious. A big big box should pop up saying no refunds only store credit and a follow-up message with the ability to cancel the order should follow any order where the same item in multiple sizes is being ordered. This is Baltic Born taking advantage of users that missed the return policy (honestly I had no worries and no reason to click on the shipping and return link - again since this is a *** company). I was thrilled with the beauty and quality of the dresses and had thought I now found a great place to shop.

I bought this on a whim hoping for the best and am extremely disappointed. The dress I purchased did not fit. I purchased according the the size chart provided and it was WILDLY inaccurate. When requesting an exchange their policy is that you must return the item for store credit and then repurchase the item. There are soooooo many issues with this policy. 1. The store credit takes much too long to be credited to the buyer which doesnt guarantee the other sizes will be in stock. 2. I purchased this item 6 weeks before an event I have and with the return, wait on store credit, and repurchase it will likely not come in time. This procedure in no way defines exchange. It is a return for store credit and force repurchase. So now I am stuck with either keeping a product that not only doesnt fit but is very cheaply made and not in any way the quality I would expect for the price or returning for store credit, waiting for credit to post and then hoping the item is still in stock. You say you have a serious exchange policy because youve been taken advantage of by customers, but I order from countless small boutiques that treat their customers with so much more respect and dont punish the masses for a few poor customers. All sales being final sale for an online boutique needs to be more readily publicized if youre going to take advantage of customers to their degree. The company website lists shipping timing to be 5-8 business days for standard shipping on the special occasion articles of clothing it sells which is why I proceeded with the order. It has been over 11 business days later and the shipment still has not arrived and the occasion that clothing item was needed for has come and gone. I contacted the business on 6/1 after seeing the order was partially shipped and received an email response stating that the items take 4-6 business days to ship IN ADDITION to the 5-8 business stated on their website. When I requested the status of my particular request, the company stated the same canned response over and over regarding the shipping timing without any helpful resolution or simple order status update as I requested. I had to go searching for a new item and spent more money so that I would be appropriately outfitted for the occasion and the company does not offer returns and only offer store credit so I will not be refunded even after dealing with this issue. After many emails, I received no resolution and still have not received the items from my order. The company continues to state that they are not responsible for what happens when the package leaves the warehouse, however, I had been contacting them since 6/1 about the issue which they pushed off with their canned responses on shipping timing until it did leave the warehouse. Moreover, the company charges a Shipping Warranty - a vague charge that makes it appear that your order has processed and partially shipped when in fact it has not. At the event, as I sat down, the dress tore open from the side, causing me embarrassment. The next day, I contacted customer service to express my disappointment and request a resolution, highlighting the dress's failure during the wedding and its apparent quality issue. I purchased two dresses from Baltic Born last month. As an online shopper, I read most everything on the pages I am brought to (clothing details, shipping details, etc.). Upon receiving my items and trying them on, one of the dresses did not fit right, so I decided to return it for a refund. Upon initiating the return with BB, I read that they do not offer refunds, only returns for store credit. Considering how abnormal this is for an online-only clothing store, where articles of clothing cannot be tried on for fit beforehand, I emailed their customer service, explaining how their returns policy is a little extreme, not explicitly stated on any page but the actual returns page, and how this is unfair to honest customers. Their reply came with a lot of false "understanding", but a commitment to stand firm in their policy, stating that they've been taken advantage of by customers that wear the clothing with the tags still on it, then return a damaged item for a refund. They also accused me of being a lazy and irresponsible consumer for not navigating to the returns page before purchasing my items. They seemed to think that all customers with this same issue are at fault for not going to the returns page themselves before placing an order. I explained to them how predatory this feels, and how I am absolutely not an "irresponsible" consumer for not checking it myself first. The honest customers are being punished for the dishonest ones. If Baltic Born really stood behind their returns policy and believed it was fair and honest, I don't think they'd have a problem actually stating the policy on each page, especially the checkout page, not just "linking to the returns page on every other page" as they seem to think is sufficient enough. If they are worried that informing customers of this unreasonable policy will hurt their sales, it's clear the policy is junk, and they know that. They did not respond to my last email stating this, and still asking for a refund.

I received the other and didn't even take it out of the shipment bag after my experience with the first.I explained this to Baltic Born, and agree with everyone else here that their excuse about their return policy being clear on 'every page of their website' is complete BS. If you're offering a VERY different return policy than most companies (come on, you're a bridesmaids dress company and you're really only offering store credit), you need to make that CLEAR. If anything, you need to list that IN CLEAR WORDS right on the checkout page. Every company has the returns policy linked on their main page at the bottom, so why would I think this would be any different? If you're not going to give people their money back, but don't appear transparently that this is going to be the case, you need to MAKE THAT CLEAR. Their excuse of 'we post this' is incredibly insulting, to everyone here, apparently.I received an excuse of 'we don't offer this since most people wear our items and return them damaged.' I have clear proof that one literally has never been touched by my hands, and one was picked up to be put back into the bag immediately. This isn't the case for me, and these will be able to be worn again. Being told to use the credit on my family members or friends is beyond disrespectful. After this, I can't ever support this company. I need these refunds promised and issued, and someone really needs to check in with this company to adjust their transparency and excuses.
