A recent encounter with the Barlow Trail Veterinarian Clinic, David Christenson, left my animal dead because of what I believe to be incompetence and gross negligence on the part of the Vet. I presented the evidence to the OVMEB (Oregon Veterinary Medical Examining Board) which after two review hearings absolved Christenson of any liability in the animal's death. The OVMEB also refused to accept further documented evidence in the case. Three individualveterinarians had review the case and their opinion was that the dog was killed through gross negligence.
My recommendation is to stay away from Christenson, DVM and the Oregon Veterinary Examining Board, because you will loose more than your animal. You cannot win in the State of Oregon.

I have had Dr. Dave Christenson for all my pets (dogs, cats, goats, and horses) for OVER 20 years, he and his staff have never been anything but professional, compassionate, and polite. He has helped me thru the best and the worst of being a pet owner. When you work with something as emotional as your beloved pets there are going to be times when it is heart breaking. We all need to keep in mind they are just people, not superheroes! I am truly sorry for all your losses.
My dog was in essence tortured at the Barlow Trail Vet Clinic during over $1, 000 of testing and then was subjected to more extreme fear and suffocated to death at the hands of Chrisstens0n, DVM. Several years prior another dog was misdiagnosed and died in misery of anemia. I don't know how I could have been so stupid to trust my pets to this vet. I hope God will forgive me. I will never forgive myself.
I wish I would have read this before I took them my golden. I took my healthy, beautiful golden retriever puppy to Barlow Trail Vet Clinic, to have spayed. She is now dead. I have received conflicting reports of what happened. I am waiting on medical records to have rewiewed by another vet. Do not take your animal to these people
