Engine had a bad valve on the driver side when it arrived from them. Then the head gasket on the left side failed after 100 miles. Their workmanship is poor and they don't honor their work, word, or the warranty. They don't want to talk after the sale. I do not recommend them.

Ready to sue Barnettes? Lets all get together and do it! TinaZibragos@yahoo.com...contact me. This company is a scam, and they should be put out of business like they put our cars out of service.
Are you putting it in yourself? That's the only time I'd use a used engine. If it doesn't work, oh well, you're out a couple weekends. It isn't hard to find 90-day warranties, but they're going to cover the engine not the labor. You're looking at around $1, 000 in labor to pull and replace the engine. Might as well pay for a rebuilt motor from a reputable source if you're paying that kind of labor bill rather than putting a junkyard motor in the car.

Barnettes sold me a 4.0 engine in June 2011. Timing chain guidelines are bad in April 2013. I barely put $18, 000 into the engine. When I called regarding the warranty, they said they hadn't received the paper I had sent them. DO NOT USE THIS FRAUDULENT WEBSITE. They don't stand behind their warranty. I'm going to improve my business and try to prevent these crooks from defrauding others. My butt is endless for 5 years.
