Earl Scheib automobile painting

Check out earl scheib and its owner first before doing business!

This hashemi arash, whose real name is arash hashemi, has been involved in criminal activity for much of his life according to the following article:

http://www.lasvegasnow.com/news/child-abuse-case-dismissed-against-arash-hashemi/81434077

I found him to be a pathological liar who kept giving me excuse after excuse as to why the truck wasn't ready for pick up, for 3 weeks!

Then, when it was finally ready, i'm informed that due to too many charge backs he can't accept credit cards!

So I send my employee in with a check to earl scheib for the full amount, and he won't accept a check either!

So we offer to get him a cashier's check, and he won't accept that either!

So we offer to make the cashier's check out to him personally, and he won't accept that either!

What he wants is for us to make the check out to his employee, jack potecuk! Who in their right mind would pay an employee while the owner refuses to come in to his own business?

And as if that's not bad enough, the employee insists are driving to the bank with my employee to cash the check!

We refused to write the check to the employee, so they refused to give us the truck back, and then said they're going to start charging us $45 a day for storage fees!

So to recap, we brought the truck in on 12/7, due for pickup on 12/11. Then from there it took three weeks to get to the point where we are trying to pay them, and they won't accept a cashier's check to their own business, because they now say that the $15, 000 in charge backs from other unhappy customers messed up their bank account, as if any of this is my problem!

We finally had to call the police to help us get our truck back, but not until arash called - twice while getting the cashier's check to the business, which they only agreed to because the police were there. The first call was to tell us that "even with a cashier's check, we're not getting the truck until he adds all kinds of fees on in retaliation for us bringing the police to his place of business!

And the second call was to say that he was willing to wave the fees in return for a written letter of apology for calling him a pathological liar.

This was my response: as for the delays, which lie was the real one?
1. Painter had 104.3 degree fever
2. Painter was run over by an identical expedition to mine
3. Paint didn't arrive, though no one seems to know why it wasn't ordered on day 1.
4. Upsold"at cost" $595 instead of $1000 for work that you should have seen when the truck was brought in.
5. Second upsell and threat of not painting it the agreed upon color if I didn't pay the upsell fee.

And now I get a text pushing me to run in on saturday to pay you and the veiled threat that the truck will be sitting outside.

Huge mistake to continually poke me. If I were you, i'd make sure that on tuesday the truck is perfect, and that it remains inside between now and then.

If you want a vehicle picked up in a timely manner, do the work on time and stop lying to your customers.

Earl Scheib Don't deal with Earl Scheib!

Terrible service, don't use Earl Scheib! I paid for the paint service and I was not satisfied with the result. My car looked even worse! These people are highly unprofessional and they have no idea what they are doing. Of course I demanded my money back. As a customer I know my rights and I know that it my case they were supposed to return my money. But they didn't. They were very rude and ignorant, they literally said that it was my problem. These people are the worst ever, don't deal with Earl Scheib!

Earl Scheib Terrible Paint Job!!

Worst paint job ever! I was having my car fully stripped and repainted. The owner, Rich, told me he would personally oversee my job. Yeah right... I stopped by the shop a few times to check on progress only to find a broken headlight and areas they had clearly missed. The end result was a crappy paint job with obvious "orange peel" effect, bumps where dust got under the paint, and overspray everywhere. I called Rich several times to try to make it right and he blew me off. He told me I had too high standards. Rich is a sales guy trying to drum up business when he should be paying more attention to quality of service. Yes, they are cheap and you ultimately get what you pay for. But if you look around you can find a body/paint shop that will provide a much better result for only slightly more. Save yourself the disappointment and avoid this place.

Earl Scheib cracked paint, lifetime warranty hayward location closed

I HAD MY 99 CHYRSLAR SEBRING COVERTABLE PAINTED ABOUT 3 years ago with a lifetime warranty. About 8 months ago the paint started to crack on the trunk and now the hood. I called today 8 -8-11 and the Guy said this one in Hayward. Closed about a year ago. I believe it still says Earl Schwinn on the outside of the building. The Guy said its another business but he would charge me to repaint. DENIES IT STILL SAYS EARL SCHEIB ON THE OUTSIDE. I AM OUT OF LUCK

Earl Scheib Worst manager ever

I took my red, 1991 Ford F-150 to Earl Scheib on 14 May 2008 and bought the Platinum Supreme package. I took it to the shop on Military Drive in San Antonio, TX. The package was on sale for about $530.00, down from I think, it was over $700.00. So I thought I was getting a good deal. I did shop around and other places gave me quotes ranging from $1800 to $5700. I didn't need my truck to be a show truck or anything like that and I really didn't want to spend a lot of money. I did want it to look nice though. I had originally budgeted $1500 for paint but when I saw the great deal ES had, I took it. I went to the shop, looked around, saw some painted cars, talked to the manager and was pleased with what I saw.

So I had them do some bodywork, fill some holes, fix some dents, and the total bill was finally $915.24. I talked to the manager, Larry, about orange peel and he said there would be some. Of course, for a $900 paint job I knew there would be. I even realized it wasn't going to be a great paint job but more probably merely Ok.

Before I took it in, I took off the bumper, mirrors, and all exterior trim save the front bumper and headlights.

After two days I went to pick up my truck. No overspray or broken anything. My first impression was "oh, that looks like crap..." It looked better than when I dropped it off, but it didn't look very good. The whole truck was orange peel. There might be two or three, one-inch square areas where there is no orange peel. Other than that, the entire truck is one, big, pimply, orange peely, mess.

I'm a pretty non-confrontational guy so I didn't say anything right there. I took it home and just looked at it. Drove it to work and showed some of my car lover friends. They all agreed it was nothing but orange peel. So I stewed a couple more days but finally couldn't stand it anymore.

I emailed the national office and stated my case and they said a district manager would get hold of me and talk to me about my concerns. Then I thought I would go straight to the source and i called the shop manager. I told him I was unhappy, that I didn't think the whole truck should be orange peel and what should we do about it? He replied that "all paint jobs will have orange peel..." I thought that was pretty ignorant statement to be made by a paint shop manager. Then he said I should just buff it out after 30 days. I said I didn't think "bufffing it out" will take out the orange peel. I know it won't. I've waxed and detailed enough cars to know that. I continued to protest but he didn't have much else to say to me.

I emailed this exchange to the national office because I still hadn't heard from the district manager. Then the district manager emailed me and said he agreed with the shop manager! But then he said he was concerned about the "appearance" of my truck and wanted to have meeting at the shop on 29 May at 3:00pm.

I responded to his email saying I didn't believe every paint job had to have orange peel. I then asked him if would agree or disagree with me that my truck was alright with all the orange peel. I said that if he agreed it was Ok, then there was no need for a meeting and I would then bad-mouth Earl Scheib for the rest of my life.

Well, today is the 29th and I haven't heard back from him. I don't even know if he's going to be there at the shop. I emailed him a couple of times asking for confirmation but nothing in return. I called the shop manager and he hasn't heard from him and didn't know about the meeting. hmmm...

So my truck is a massive orange peel. From some angles you can't even see a shine. The places where my clear coat was peeling (the reason for the paint job in the first place) were clearly visible under the new paint. I don't understand that because when I went to the shop before, there was a truck being prepped and it was completely covered in bondo/putty and being smoothed out. It would've only taken a thin film of putty to smooth out the areas where the clear coat was coming off. But I guess they didn't do that.

So now I'm stuck. If the district manager doesn't get hold of me in the next 2 hours, I'm going to consider the meeting cancelled. Nice customer service huh?

I buy and sell cars, I know they give cheap paint jobs, but i have been very pleased. Those of you who are who feel that you can get a dealership paint job, At an Earl shieb price most likely wont be satisfied with getting what you paid for. ITs sort of like makeup for a lady. She washes it off before bed times and reaplies it the next day. I think getting over two years out of a paint job is good!. considering the price.. Some of my customers who wax their cars get even more time than two years?.I had a 1985 olds faded grey, nobody wanted despite how good it was running:.

we marked it down to 800 still no takers'. I sent it to get fresh paint on it and it looked new again|. I sold it for 2800 the kid who bought it took it back to the same place and had it painted lime green and he put big wheels on it.. You get what you pay for and a little more sometimes.

Hi my name is There'sa Ogburn and I had my car painted a year ago and they tried twice without satisfaction. I want to give a big kudos to your new manager at the Vallejo CA office for finally doing it right. He was very nice and made sure I was satisfied. Thank you and him for everything. Just wish that Carlos would have did it like this the first time. Oh it is a Pontiac Sunfire painted blue with a white strip for my Dallas Cowboys. : ) I figured that if I was going to contact the main office with complaints as a have a few times, well then the least I can do is give a compliment.

I brang in my honda civic to get painted at this place. They are extremely pathetic. The first time i got it painted, they painted it the WRONG color. Then i started noticing the paint was falling off from the bumpers and from the doors and side mirrors. So they repainted it for free ONE time, (and i got life time gurantee), and the second time they painted it the right color. within 6 months the paint started falling off AGAIN! not only that but you can even see under the new paint that they never even sanded down the car, they just spray over your old paint and cover it up. Their paint is cheap, if i rub my car too hard when im washing it, the shine will go away and it will become dull and leave a permanent mark. I am pissed off at the work they did, this company is a rip off! When you put your hands on my car you can feel the raw paint, there is no clear coat. My car is dull and not shiny and the paint is less then a year old...

Had my car painted in August 2007. Bought lifetime warranty. About a month later, begin noticing "bubbles" in the new paint. Called manager and advised him but due to transportation needs, prior obligations, holidays, bad weather and an unexpected death in family, I was unable to return my car to the shop until March 2008. By that time, more "bubbles" in paint--probably 20+ and the new paint was peeling to the size of half-dollar each. Sign in office said "Ask about our Rental Service". I was told there was none! I arranged for a rental vehicle myself than asked Sheib's corporate office for $50.00 rental fee reimbursement. They wrote back and sent copy of contract stating they did not owe. I understand that it is not their responsibility on the initial visit, however, this was a return visit to repair the paint job that was poorly done. Now, I am watching more "bubbles" appear--not as many but nonetheless the paint will eventually peel away. Can't afford another rental vehicle bill and don't have someone who can transport me back and forth. Also, I need a vehicle. I feel an exception should be made for return visits when the problem was caused by the company--not me. There are also scratches on both front fenders where it looked as if someone wearing a belt buckle was leaning over the hood of my car. Buyer beware!
