I received an e-mail from Discover Card telling me when my next payment was due. I was surprised because I do not owe any money on my Discover Card. When I went to the page, I found a charge of $57 from Barton Publishing Inc. Brandon SD for something I supposedly ordered from them. I did not order anything from them and the Discover Card Transaction Details just listed that it was supposedly ordered on 12/01/2013, and the only information listed about what it was said for Business SRVCS (Not Classified) and Services-General. I have no idea what that means. I did not order anything from them at all. I got their phone number from a Barton Publishing Complaint page that had a lot of complaints on it from other people who have been scammed. The phone number is [protected]. I called that number and they said they could not take my call but to email them at "supportatbartonpublishing.com. So I tried to send them an email, and got a message that there is no website by that name. Discover Card is doing an investigation at this time. It seems that the only way to prevent this type of scam is to cancel all my credit cards that have zero balances. I am really confused as to why companies can just put charges on our credit cards without our even ordering anything or authorizing the charge.(s)
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I ordered High Blood Pressure Remedy for USD 29.95 including some extras last November and I have been charged by Well Watch xxxxx 3 times since then, I sent an email about 2 week ago to support@bartonpublishing.com to question but no respond. Can anybody advise how to handle this isssue since I am afraid that the charge will continue.
wellness watch is affiliated with celebrity sexy teeth whitener. that is the whitener everyone is getting ripped off from. they say their is a rebate if you buy it, but it never comes and if it did it comes from wellness watchers @ $35 watch what you aer doing, because you will never see it i am still waiting for both products
The same has happened to me! they have taken £150.00? You must inform your card provider so that their Fraud Department can take over and cancel your card but keep it for reference.
I hope this will help
